Chapter 85 Don't Worry, I'm Here
Olivia practically flew from the front yard to the back garden.
"Bianca? Are you here? I'm here, please answer me..." she shouted, her voice echoing through the yard.
But there was only silence.
Olivia's heart pounded with fear, and she searched more frantically.
Michael followed close behind, trying to reassure her, "Bianca can't have gone far."
Just as he finished, Olivia spotted something under the flower bushes and darted forward. She picked up a tiny, delicate shoe.
Michael's expression darkened.
It was Bianca's shoe—the one she had been wearing when they arrived tonight.
Olivia had never seen this shoe before, but she knew it was Bianca's size.
"Is this Bianca's?" she asked, her voice trembling.
Michael hesitated for a moment.
Olivia understood immediately.
It was Bianca's!
Her fear deepened, and she searched even more desperately. But no matter how hard she looked, she couldn't find her daughter.
Just then, members of the Johnson family arrived, including Sophia and Aiden.
As soon as Olivia saw Aiden, a thought flashed through her mind.
She fixed her gaze on Aiden, her eyes sharp as a knife. "Was it you? Did you hide Bianca? Where is she?"
Everyone frowned at her accusation.
Amelia scolded loudly, "Olivia, what are you talking about? Aiden just got here with us. How can you accuse him like that?" She protectively pulled Aiden behind her.
Olivia, frantic and impatient, pushed Amelia aside and stepped closer to Aiden, her tone icy, "Tell me the truth, was it you? Take me to her right now, do you hear me?"
Aiden was clearly startled by Olivia's intensity and looked scared.
Chase couldn't stand it and yelled, "Olivia, have you lost your mind? Can't find your own daughter, so you bully someone else's kid?"
The rest of the Johnson family also thought Olivia's behavior was out of line.
"He's just a little kid. How can you accuse him like that?"
"Causing trouble again. The Johnson family is really unlucky to have a daughter-in-law like this!"
Michael's face was cold, and he was also displeased. "Olivia, you can't make accusations like that without any proof. This is slander, and it will hurt Aiden greatly!"
Olivia was furious that Michael was protecting Aiden. "What slander? I saw him leaving here with my own eyes!"
She glared at Aiden. "Do you think staying quiet will save you? This place has surveillance cameras everywhere. If I find out it was you, I'm calling the cops!"
Everyone was even more upset at her words.
But before they could say anything, Aiden's fear got the best of him. "Don't... don't call the cops ."
Everyone was stunned.
Michael frowned and asked, "Was it really you?"
"Where? Show us now!" Olivia demanded coldly, her patience wearing thin.
Aiden hesitated, then pointed towards the back door. "Over... over there..."
Olivia followed his direction, her face suddenly freezing.
Near the back wall of the garden, there was a deep pit.
It seemed to be part of the garden's watering system renovation. The pipes hadn't been buried yet, leaving the area exposed and uncovered.
Olivia's pupils contracted, and her hands and feet went cold.
Could it be...
A terrifying thought flashed through her mind.
She didn't waste any time and rushed madly to the edge of the pit, shouting, "Bianca?"
Michael's face changed slightly, and he walked over, saying, "Aiden meant the back door, not this..."
Before he could finish, Olivia's heart-wrenching scream filled the air, "Bianca!"
Michael froze.
He saw what was in front of him.
At the bottom of the ten-foot-deep pit lay a small figure.
It was Bianca!
She was curled up on the ground, motionless, and it was unclear what her condition was.
Olivia had already jumped down.
Her blood felt like it had frozen, and overwhelming fear made her whole body tremble uncontrollably.
Especially seeing Bianca lying at the bottom of the pit, she didn't dare to touch her.
The pit was so deep, it was already dark, and so cold. Even though the soil was soft, she was afraid something irreversible had happened.
She was almost suffocating, her face pale.
Michael jumped down after a moment.
He reached out to pick up Bianca.
Olivia's nerves snapped completely.
She couldn't control herself and rushed over, pushing him away. "Don't touch her!"
Then, she cradled Bianca like a lost treasure found again.
Michael, caught off guard, nearly fell.
When he looked over, Olivia was half-kneeling on the ground, calling Bianca's name over and over.
"Bianca, it's Mommy. I'm here. Tell me where it hurts, okay?" Olivia's voice was choked and trembling.
She had feared Bianca was unconscious, but now that she held her, she realized Bianca was still somewhat responsive.
Bianca's body trembled in her arms.
Olivia was terrified and immediately checked her body.
To her surprise, Bianca wasn't injured, aside from her little hands being dirty with soil.
Still, Olivia wasn't reassured and checked her bones.
Again, there were no injuries.
But Bianca's condition was very wrong.
Her soft body kept trembling, and she made faint whimpering sounds, even showing slight convulsions.
So pitiful and fragile!
Olivia's heart nearly shattered, overwhelmed with pain!
Seeing Bianca in the pit startled the Johnsons, and they quickly called for a ladder.
Once the ladder was set up, Michael finally spoke to Olivia, "Let's get Bianca out first."
He reached out to help.
Olivia, holding Bianca, dodged, not letting him touch her.
She was furious at Michael's irresponsibility.
He had promised to take care of Bianca, and this was how he did it!
Olivia was trembling all over.
Once out of the pit, she didn't bother with the details and hurriedly ran with Bianca.
"Olivia?" Michael called after her.
She ignored him, not looking back.
Once outside, Olivia immediately grabbed her phone and called Andrew, "Mr. Hamilton, please... help Bianca!"
Bianca's body wasn't hurt, but she was clearly terrified.
In that dark pit, Bianca must have been severely traumatized.
At this moment, she could only turn to Andrew for help.
Andrew sensed something was wrong from Olivia's tone.
Her suppressed trembling and choked voice were something he had never encountered before.
He immediately asked seriously, "What happened?"
Olivia, her lips trembling, explained briefly.
Andrew's tone was calm and reassuring, "Come to the military district compound. Don't drive yourself, take a cab—it's safer!"
"Okay..." Olivia agreed.
Half an hour later, at the military district compound, Olivia arrived with Bianca and met Andrew.
Seeing the mud-covered Olivia and Bianca, Andrew was slightly taken aback.
As soon as Olivia saw him, her tears fell uncontrollably.
Ignoring her disheveled appearance, she rushed to him, "Mr. Hamilton, please check Bianca. Only you... can help her!"
"Don't worry, she's safe with me." Andrew responded steadily, then took Bianca to examine her.
Bianca's condition was indeed troubling.
Her clenched fists, trembling and convulsing body, and faint whimpering.
It all pointed to one fact.
She was excessively frightened, protecting herself by shutting down.
Bianca's autism had severely flared up!
Andrew's composed expression turned serious.
He took Bianca into the treatment room, trying to calm and guide her, attempting to bring her back to consciousness.
But the usual methods weren't working!
Andrew remained patient, using a harmonica to soothe her emotions.
Finally, it had some effect.
The gentle music helped calm her.
However, Bianca's fear and panic persisted.
Her eyes, once lively, now avoided contact, and her gaze was scattered.
Olivia's heart ached as if it had been slashed countless times.
She regretted not picking up Bianca sooner, leaving her with Michael!
"Can Bianca... recover?" Her voice was hoarse to the extreme as she asked Andrew.
Andrew gently stroked Bianca's head and assured, "Yes!"
Regular methods couldn't restore her, but they could make her forget.
As long as she forgot this traumatic memory, everything would be fine!
Soon, Andrew took out a necklace from his pocket.
The pendant featured a beautiful blue gemstone.
He held it in front of Bianca, gently swaying it, softly calling her name, inducing hypnosis.
At first, Bianca didn't react.
Then, her gaze focused on the blue gemstone.
She began to hear Andrew's voice, "You and Lightning are chasing each other on the beach, the waves touching your little feet, the sand feels very comfortable..."
Bianca's eyes moved, and her expression calmed, finally closing her eyes and drifting into sleep.
As she fell asleep, Andrew stopped his actions.
"Is she... okay now?" Olivia asked uncertainly.
Andrew nodded slightly, looking at her through his glasses, "Tell me more about what triggered Bianca's condition."
Olivia, feeling guilty, explained briefly.
Andrew nodded, his voice steady, "Besides autism, Bianca also has claustrophobia. The dark pit she fell into, combined with the nightfall, triggered her fear."
He added, "Next time, ensure she isn't alone in enclosed spaces, including elevators."
"Okay, I'll remember!" Olivia nodded heavily, her voice raw, "Thank you, Mr. Hamilton, I'm so grateful!"
Otherwise, Bianca's fate tonight would have been unimaginable!
