Chapter 22 He kissed me
Chapter 22 He kissed me
“ You say what?” He asked, his eyes growing wider.
“ You heard me!” I said and brought out my phone, tapping it open. I wanted to take a picture of her but he pulled my hand down.
“ Oh, you don't do that here!” He smiled, pulling my ears. “You see here I'm just like a nobody. Nobody knows I'm a Beta. So if you do anything stupid you'll have both of our ass’s kicked!”
“ She's such a bastard and a traitor!” I yelled. But he dropped his hand on mine and whispered into my ears.
“ I have not heard that about her but she's definitely the most cuning woman I have ever seen and heard of.” Alexander added.
I heaved a deep sigh, my eyes still locking at her. I thought Felipe knows what he wanted. I thought he was in his senses when he rejected me and threw me into the cell for days just to choose a traitor.
Alexander’s phone beeped. And he took it, glaring at it. He grabbed my hand and Said. “ It's almost time, the Lycan king wants us back in the pack.”
He took my hand and dragged me outside.
“ Let go of me! I need to see that motherfucking bastard called the masked rogue.”
I kept whispering but he didn't stop dragging me towards the outside of the ring.
“ Hey, you will make me stop bringing you here!” He yelled at me and my rough breath calmed.
“ I just needed to see that motherfucking bastard!” I yelled.
“ Keep quiet, Lynn. This place is more dangerous than you think. There are more than three battalions of trained human soldiers and rogues. Any slight notice that we are from the Lycan king, our world would be crumbled.”
I nodded and I climbed onto his bike as he took me back to where the other bike men were. I climbed on my bike and I ignited the bike.
“ You have to maintain the character untill this helmet leaves your head else I don't know about it.” He warned and I nodded.
We rode back to the pack. Throughout the ride my mind was reeling. I never could have thought that bitch and golddigger could betray Felipe after everything he had done for her. Such a asshole who's not supposed to leave.
We got to the pack and we parked the bikes at each slots. I threw the helmet off my head and moved straight to my room. Once I entered and locked the door, the door knocked. I froze. Who could that be? Amara and my children would have slept, It's late already.
I stood up reluctantly and moved to the door. Opening it, Xander froze in front of me. I raised my brows, and threw myself backwards.
Have he caught me?
“ I have checked you several times tonight. Knocked so many times but you didn't open,” He said, pushing himself into the computer room.
Thank the goodness, he didn't. Or rather, not yet.
“ Lynn, when was the last time you slept in your room?” He asked and my eyes bulged up.
“ It's true, Alpha. I just wants to finish up my work here, save the Lycans from the rogues and humans and I want my freedom,” I said, rubbing my eyes.
He moved closer to me and pulled me closer. “You need some time to take a break and rest.”
“ O—” I wanted to respond to him when he pulled me closer and locked his lips into mine. His lips tasted like wine. So sweet and alluring.
I locked gazes with him, to be sure he wasn't out of his senses. “ This wasn't part of my assignment here. Or was he falling for me?”
“ Sleep tight!” He said and left me in awe.
He shouldn't have let me taste his lips when he knew he wouldn't let them be mine forever.
He left me and slammed the door. I sighed and put my hand on my chest.
Who knows what state Felipe would be by now? Who knows what he'll he was facing? Who knows if he had been stepped down as the Alpha of his pack?
I fell on the bed, and allowed sleep to take me in.
“ Good morning, Mummy!” Pius said and jumped on me. I smiled at him and hugged him so tightly.
“ Morning, darling!” I said and kissed his forehead.
“ Mummy, guess what?” He said, poking my forehead.
“You've designed a high pro game?” I guessed, rolling my eyes.
He frowned in disappointment. “ A second chance at trail!”
“ Okay,” I put my first finger into my mouth. “ You have perfected the human calculus and quantum mechanics.”
“ Enough, mum. You're very poor in guessing.” He yelled at me and rolled his eyes.
I laughed at my incompetence. I only know Pius for things related to mathematics, physics and programming. Maybe he had been able to solve some questions giving him hard times. But he just said that wasn't close.
“ I can now prepare chicken carbonara. I spent the whole night with Amara. And then, also, I have learnt Barbie's model steps.” He stood up and started practicing the steps in front of me.
“ Oh, dear. You've really learned new things these days,” I said and stood up from the bed.
The door burst opened and Barbie walked into the room. She ran up to me and kissed my cheeks.
“ Good morning, Mummy!”
“ Morning, model. You must have spent most of your time teaching Pius how to walk like a model.” I rubbed her chin.
“ Yes, Mummy. There are better things he could do apart from programming.”
I nodded in agreement. That was it. Programing is fun but at the same time it's not. All work without play makes jack a dull boy. When I was learning programming in my early twenties, I used to think I was at the apex of happiness not until I met Felipe. He gave me what I never thought I could have: Love and loyalty.
But today he left me back to the same loop when love has no meaning to me. I only love my children at this point and not any assholes.
If Pius could derive his happiness from her sister's model walks, it's far more better than loving a scoundrel who could trade his love for a traitor and golddigger.
