Ten years ago. 

Dax’s POV. 

“ I gave birth to you. I control you not you control us.” 

“ That's the fact your father has said, Dax. You're just a little boy hungry for power. That you will never see.” 

Those were my adoptive parents— The Alpha and Luna of the Crescent Moon pack. 

“ You're a betrayal and a cheat.” I spat hot, raising my sword just above my father's neck. 

They have convinced everyone to believe they were my biological parents but they were not. A few years ago, they took over my parent's Alpha position and assassinated them. They hide under the cover of pretense for so many years, claiming someone else murdered them. But as I grow older, I noticed the clear difference between me and my brother, Felipe. I noticed how much they loved him and cherished him. 

The boy I knew when he was given birth to was now been put above me, prioritize over me. 

That was the day I started having clues that these bastards may not be my biological parents. And after so many find outs, I found out they murdered my parents. 

“ You're becoming mad day by day, Dax. We love you so much. But you're just not getting things right!” My father said pitifully. 

“ Keep quiet!” The hold of my knife on his knife stiffened that I could now see the traces of the sword lines on his neck. 

He groaned in pain as little parse of blood stained the metal blade in my hand. 

“ I'll slit your throat for killing my parents!” I insisted. 

“ Dax, that Alpha position will never belong to you. Even if you kill us, you would never be the Alpha of the Crescent Moon pack.” My mum screamed at me. 

“ Then you will be in your grave when I would be crowned the Alpha of the crescent Moon pack and take back that which belongs to me.” 

That was the last thing I said before I drew the blade against their necks and made them bleed out on the floor. The blade fell off my hand as they took in their last breaths. 

I killed them. My adoptive parents.

Getting to the Crescent Moon pack on the sixth day to mourn the demise of the betrayals. I could literally let them know that I was the one that killed them but if dare do that I was damn sure that I would be executed and the alpha position won't be mine. 

I arrived in the pack, the pack elders all gathered around their corpses, making arrangements for the burial and the appointment of the new alpha. 

“ Brother, I couldn't protect them,” Felipe cried bitterly, hugging me so tightly. 

“ It's fine, Brother. You tried your best. You shouldn't blame yourself for not being able to protect them.” I pulled together and conforted him, smirking beneath. 

After some days, the pack elders called everyone of us. We were only six; two boys and four girls. The pack elders suggested that they appoint new Alpha for the pack. 

I never knew Felipe would want to compete with me. Of course, I was the first child known by the pack so I wonder why he was at the verge of wanting to be the new alpha. I didn't blame him though, my parents were the one that gave him the privilege of thinking like a leader. 

“ Before the death of your father, he always wanted Felipe to be the next Alpha.” One of the elders said and my inside churned. 

I stood up with a coarse voice. “ Who does that? I'm the elder brother here and you're saying this gibberish in front of me?” 

“ Brother, our father wanted me to be the Alpha. Are you going to go against the wish of our father?” Felipe stood up and sparked. 

“ Shut up, Felipe. You're not as strong as I am. You're at home with our parents yet they were snatched and murdered under your watch.” I blew hot and his eyes became stiffened. That was the very first time Felipe would face me, one on one and wanted to fight me. 

Another elders stood up. “ Dax, we all understand you to be the eldest son but that was what your father wanted.” 

“No, it's not going to happen under my watch!” I barked at them. 

After so many disagreement, the elders decided to put things on scale in other to appoint the one that best fit as the Alpha of the pack. 

The battle began between I and Felipe. The first strike I gave him was to snatch his girlfriend, Sarah. 

That motherfucking bitch that had once offered me her body for free and I refused. She has this sexy body and nice nipples. But the Alpha position became a battle between I and my brother. When I saw that i was about to lose the battle to him, I revealed a part of me that wasn't known to anyone. A masked version of me. The Alpha of the rogues and humans. 

I offered an offer to the Lycan king, Xander, so he could help me with the alpha position, hiding under the name.
