Chapter # 114
I ran to the courtyard only to find my beloved mate there, placing my restless soul at serene.
Lying unconscious on the bench while I was flabbergasted how it happened.
And moreover, who did this?
Who managed to enter my domain and place her there? Couldn’t be Kyle, then who was it?
“Eliana!”
Picking her hastily, my whole body found solace when her body was pressed against mine, easing my soul as I took her back to our room.
Lying her down carefully on the bed, I removed the strands falling on her face behind, caressing her body tenderly.
My eyes affixed on her beautiful body, increasing my heartbeats, delighted to have her near me.
Sighing in relief, I came down to ask my sons about how she came here but Jake appeared out of nowhere and attempted to attack me.
“Jake! What are you doing!?”
Before he could hit me, Armiz came in between, pushing him away from attacking me.
Folding my arms at my chest, I frowned, I expected this reaction from him.
“I will kill him!” Jake shouted, snarling furiously, coming to hit me but I stood firmly.
“Jake, stop it!” Armiz snarled but he had lost his mind.
I had stopped caring about this unwanted stuff. My family, my life mattered to me, I had stopped devoting my life.
“No, not anymore! He killed my sister! I will kill him! I knew it was him but all you lied to me to save him.”
“But, now I knew it’s him, I won’t let him-”
But, before he could continue his wrath and release it on me and I might end his breaths, Lucas came in between angrily, hitting his chest.
“Enough, Jake!”
“Lucas!”
My mouth gaped in disbelief when he came, stopping him as well.
“He didn’t kill Gizelle! I DID!”
“What…?”
“We were together. She tried to hurt the Alpha so I pulled the trigger! You hear?! I did it, not him!”
Leaving Jake gradually Armiz was astonished as well.
Bringing silence to the room when he took all the blame on himself, staggering me.
“Not only she betrayed our pack, she became an obstacle between my Alpha and his mate so I got rid of her as I should.”
“Lucas…” Calling him worriedly, I didn’t know what else to say.
I knew he was devoted to me but to this extent was unforeseen.
“Now stop targeting my Alpha unless you want me to send you where I send your damn sister!” He snarled, hitting Jake and throwing him out of the mansion.
He scowled and was about to attack again but Armiz came in between, stopping Jake from releasing his wrath.
“Jake, leave,” Armiz breathed out as well, stopping him.
“But, Alpha, I demand justice,”
“We will talk about this later. It has been years already, it will be equal to digging old grave so go,”
Evidently, Armiz refused to do anything that could hurt me so he took my side as well, stopping Jake that made him gasp.
“You are the same… both of you are the same. Fucking contaminated blood!”
The fact he was cornered when we were his culprits brought a tear in his eyes.
“Couldn’t forgive your mates but wants me to forget my sister’s. Claps to your hypocrisy,”
Scowling, he glared at all of us before walking away in disappointment while we exchanged awkward glances.
It was clear we were the wrong and wicked ones but his sister wasn’t the best either.
“Jake,”
He was about to leave a prick of my evil side and woke up and I decided to hit him where it hurts the most.
“Why don’t you demand justice after you find her body?”
“Fuck you, all of you are selfish bastards. I will see all of you,”
“We will see,” I smirked, folding my arms at my chest as he left with a threat.
“And you, asshole, you better start counting backwards,”
When he was gone, I sighed in relief and turned to Lucas who came to defend me and took the blame on himself as well.
“Lucas…?”
He did the act so flawlessly that even Jake believed he was the culprit and we were defending him.
“Anything for my Alpha,” He chuckled sheepishly, looking away as I gave him a hug, feeling proud to have him.
“I know when you are here, I can be at ease. You have my blind trust,”
I whispered and glared at Armiz who averted his gaze.
“Unlike someone else,” I taunted him, breaking his heart.
Clearing his throat, intentionally inducing guilt in him that turned him into a distressed mess.
Pulling away, I grinned, giving his shoulder a pat proudly.
“I am so glad to have you as my beta,”
“You are my savior, Alpha, this is nothing,”
I was about to taunt Armiz again but Matthew called me from the first floor, grinning that indicated my Eliana had returned.
“Papa! Mama is awake! She is calling you!”
“Eliana…”
“Go, Alpha,” Lucas chuckled as I ran to greet my lover, my beloved Eliana.
The second I entered with swiftly thumping heartbeats, breaths tightened around my throat.
My heart was boosting as I peeked through the door.
“Eliana…?”
And there she was, my dearest, my beloved, my darling mate.
A grin appeared on her face when she saw me and extended her hands out delightfully for me to hold.
“Welcome, my third-time lover,”
Laughing a little, I closed the door behind to attain the lost moments, coming near her before accepting her open hands as I hugged her.
“Welcome back, my home,”
She giggled, “I am where I belong, again,”
“Actually fourth time,”
Smirking, I pulled away after kissing her head and sitting beside her to hold her hands into mine firmly.
“How so?”
“First after your breakup with Kyle, then at the marriage, after the divorce and now after the spell. I have made you fall for me four times,”
“And all four times I fell without caring about the consequences,” She declared with pride and I had never held any doubt on her love.
Though I was the werewolf, with an unbreakable, most beautiful mate-bond but as a human, her devotion towards me was admirable.
Or perhaps we were a couple made in heaven.
“That shows that you are made for me, only for me.” I smirked, poking her nose playfully as we held hands with intentions of never releasing them.
“Sure, sure,”
“Anyways, do you know how you ended up here?” I asked after a brief silence.
“Wasn’t it you?”
“What?”
“After you left, I was knocked unconscious and woke up… in the courtyard, I thought you did this,” She said with a melodious chuckle, not thinking deeply about it.
“Of course, I will knock my mate unconscious. What are you? An opponent?” I frowned.
“So who was it?”
“We don’t know yet,”
“We?”
“Me and.. Armiz.. We actually kind of cleared our misunderstanding.” I told her vaguely, it felt weird to use ‘our’ for him and me.
I couldn’t bring my heart to do it anymore.
His words, his stare, his distrust of it had traumatized me.
I found it extremely hard to forget and move on from what happened. I might never be able to be how I used to be with him.
“So you are finally okay with your brother? And asshole, I kept asking you so many times but you never told me he is your brother,”
She pinched my cheeks roughly as punishment and since it was Eliana's slender fingers, instead of hurting, it eased my soul.
I loved it when she touched me.
“I didn’t want to mention it, we had some… things. So distances,” I laughed a little, grabbing her wrist and leading it to my lips so I could kiss those hands.
“So, you guys are cool now?”
“Let’s not progress that past,”
“Can I ask what actually happened?”
“I will tell you later, let's go down first. Matthew and Anthony are dying to see you,” I sighed.
Waving her hand as we got out of the bed, checking ourselves in a mirror to look like an ideal couple before going down.
“I know, I have met them first. Is Armiz down too?”
“Yes,”
“Then let’s go. It will be a reunion of your family,” She grinned, pissing me off on purpose.
“Don’t say it,”
“Come on, let’s go. My Denzel’s family is finally completed,”
“And will be now,” I smirked, holding her waist.
Our reflection in the mirror was exquisite. We were meant to be together.
I was made for her, she was made for me.
Allowing the sensation of how perfectly her waist fit in my hand before placing a short but intense kiss on the desirable neck.
She moaned a little when my lips rolled over her skin, fulfilling my burning desire for being away from her for years, blazing my soul.
“Okay, okay, let’s go now. We have time for that, Mister,” She laughed, poking my cheek.
“Ask my body and soul,” I growled in her ears, biting her earlobe that earned a seductive smirk from her.
Capturing my heart with her wink, she gracefully motioned with her one finger to follow her and mindlessly of my world, I placed my strong hand over her shoulder.
“Perfect,” I winked back.
Sharing a heartwarming laugh, we both went down to meet my family, inducing a strange, sweet sensation to my core.
At that moment, with the people I adored around me, I found solace.
My life felt complete…
