Rebecca/Belle's POV:
I ran as fast as I could away from that monster.
He shouted, "You can't run away from me, princess. I will hunt you down no matter how hard it is."
I quickly ran and hid behind a bush that I found and looked through a small opening to see where he was. He was just a few meters away from me, and he suddenly disappeared into thin air.
I thought he was already gone, but he wasn't. I looked around till I felt someone behind me. I slowly turned my head back, and suddenly, his face was in front of mine, scaring me to death. He grabbed my neck with his bloody hands and lifted me. "Found you! HAHAHAHA!"
I screamed, "No!"
I woke up with cold sweat on my forehead. Rose was beside my bed, along with who I assumed was her mate. When they noticed that I had woken up, she wiped my forehead with a towel.
"How are you feeling?"
I shivered in fear and started to cry. "I am scared. What…what if all these things happen again?"
Rose hugged me. "It will never happen. We will make sure you are safe." She patted me on my back. "Shhh…don't cry. I will always make sure that you are fine."
I stopped crying and noticed that someone was missing. "Where is William?"
"Erm…he went to take care of some issues. He told me to tell you to get some sleep."
I smiled slightly. "Okay, I will sleep now. You can go back to your bedroom with your mate and rest."
"Are you sure?" she said, worried.
I laughed. "Yes, I'm sure. I'm a grown-ass woman. I can take care of myself."
I smiled. Even though deep down, I was scared, I showed no fear so she wouldn't be worried.
"By the way, you haven't introduced me to your mate yet."
She blushed. "Oh yeah. Rebecca, this is Drake, my mate. He happens to be Alpha Blake's best friend too."
I smiled and shook his hand. "Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too. I have heard many things about you from my sweet mate," he said.
"That's good. Anyway, let this be a warning to you. If you try to hurt her or cheat on her, I swear to fucking god that I'm going to kill you."
He smiled. "She is the most beautiful woman that I've laid eyes on."
Rose blushed. "Alright. Let's go so that Rebecca can rest."
I smirked. "Why do I feel like you are rushing to do something. I'll probably hear someone screaming louder. Can't wait to be an aunt."
Rose blushed further. "Stop that. You are embarrassing me."
I laughed loudly, seeing how sweet the two of them were. It seemed like they were destined to be together because they were deeply in love with each other.
Both of them said goodnight to me, and once they left, I took out the sleeping pills that I always take and gulped them down. A few minutes later, I fell deeply into a sweet dream that I hadn't had in quite some time.
Rose's POV:
After I left the room, Drake and I were summoned to my brother's office. I saw my brother sitting down on his chair, looking tired, and I said, "Will, is there something wrong?"
Will looked at both of us. "The rogue that both of you captured is dead. Someone poisoned his food. The food was passed to an unknown guard who gave the food to that rogue.
"Have you tried searching for that guard?" Drake said.
"Yeah. Ryan is checking the surveillance footage to see if we can find out who the guard was."
Someone knocked on the door, and Will said, "Come in."
Ryan bowed his head in respect. "Alpha, the camera was not working at that time. Someone must have hacked into the system."
William hit his fists hard on his desk. "I want an immediate meeting with the other Alphas in our country. It seems like this rogue pack is getting out of hand."
"Okay. I will send the signal to them, and we will meet at the wolf assembly area."
William nodded his head in response, and Ryan took his leave.
"When will you be back then?" I said.
"Not sure, but this rogue pack is getting stronger and stronger. They have been hiring wolves that have left their pack, and it seems like they are planning something this time," William said.
"Then who will be in charge if you were to take your leave?" Drake said.
William thought for a while. "I will get Alpha Blake to be in charge, and I want you two to tighten up security and make sure that no one can hack into our security system."
Both of us nodded in response, and William said, "Make sure that Rebecca is safe and do not tell her where I'm going. If she asks, just help me make up something, do you understand?"
"Yes, Alpha," Drake and I both said.
Rebecca/Belle's POV:
The next day, I woke up with a bad headache. It hurt a lot. I showered and went to my closet with a towel wrapped around my body. I picked out a dress and heels. After dressing, I went down for my breakfast and found everyone was there except for William.
When I saw Blake, he had a sad expression that I really couldn't figure out, but I just ignored him, knowing that it might be fake.
"Good morning, everyone."
Everyone smiled and said good morning to me.
Rose was sitting beside me. "How did you sleep?"
"Okay. I feel good. By the way, where is your brother? Shouldn't he have woken up by now?"
"He…he is busy with some Alpha matters, so he went to the city to deal with it," she said.
I knew that she was lying with the help of one of my wolf abilities, but I figured she probably had a good reason for lying.
"Oh… okay then. When will he be back? Did he say?" I asked.
"He will be back in a few hours," she said.
I nodded in response and focused on eating my breakfast. I did not feel well during breakfast as the smell of food made me want to throw up. The vision of the man from yesterday made me feel this way.
After I was done, I excused myself and went into my music studio to start writing my new song since I needed to get back to my music career.
I started to warm up by singing one of my songs, "Wolves," and playing the piano.
I stopped singing as I felt myself warm up. I started playing random keys and wrote it down on my music sheet if it sounded nice.
I was so focused on writing my new song, but I felt someone watching me.
I looked around but found no one there, so I thought that it might be my instinct until I heard my wolf, Trisha, saying, "I feel someone is watching us. And it's creeping me out."
"I feel that too. Do you think we should go to the living room just for safety?"
"Okay, let's go," she said.
As I headed out of my studio and turned the corner, I saw red paint splashed onto the wall. It said, "I'm watching you behind your back."
That's when I started screaming in fear, knowing that someone was watching me without having any idea of who it was.
