Natalie

I woke up later in the evening to see an unfamiliar face dressed in doctor's attire, standing next to me on my left, Lorenzo and Fiona standing on my right.

I blinked away the dizziness to meet with a worried Lorenzo and a sad Fiona but their emotions shifted a little when they looked over to me and saw that I was awaked.

"How are you?" Lorenzo asked as he reached out and grabbed one of my hands and I just sent a smile to him.

I couldn't really speak, my mouth felt dry and my throat felt even more dry. I couldn't even ask for water but surprisingly Lorenzo read my mind as he passed me a glass of water which I did drink and felt way better to talk.

"Mother, are you feeling better now? Do you still feel sick?" Fiona asked with worried dripping in his voice.

"Mother is all better now, Fiona. I feel better." I replied and she seemed happy with my response.

"Okay now that Mrs. Ballmer is awake, I think it is time to break the news to everyone. " The doctor said and I frowned at what the news he was talking about. I turned to Lorenzo and Fiona for help but they themselves looked confused.

"What news?" Lorenzo asked, confusingly.

"Well, congratulations. Mrs. Ballmer, you are four weeks pregnant!"

What! I am pregnant?

"I..I am pregnant?" I asked the doctor with wide eyes.

It wasn't hard to believe since we haven't been using protection, I guess we expected it. I am just a little surprised at the news, I am pregnant again.

So this is the reason I have been feeling so sick like when I was pregnant with Fiona but the sickness wasn't really similar to my first pregnancy and that is why I had thought it was a fluke.

"Yes, you are four weeks pregnant." The doctor replied, snapping me out of my thoughts as he packed his things.

"And it is still early yet to say the gender it is but for now, you should rest and not exhaust yourself. Also, try not to stress yourself out, it is not good for the child." He turned and looked at Lorenzo.

"Thank you, doctor." He said as they shook hands.

The doctor whispered something to him which he nodded his head before towards the door and left. I watched as he closed the door and only then did I turn to look at Lorenzo. I was really curious to know what Fiona and Lorenzo have to say about me being pregnant.

He looked at me with a smile and surprise dazzling in his eyes, but there were silent tears in his eyes. Fiona on the other hand was smiling crazily at with happiness flashing in her eyes.

"Father, did you hear that? Mother is having another baby!" She said happily to her father as if Lorenzo didn't know anything.

"Yes, Fiona she is." He nodded his head with a smile on his lips and turned to look at me again.

I smiled at him as I brought my hands and placed it on his stomach. I felt tears suddenly gathered in my eyes.

"I am pregnant with our baby." I said as a tear rolled down my eyes and he quickly wiped it away.

"Yes, and this time, I am here." He said, cupping my face.

Lorenzo Pov

"Are you coming to work?" Alex asked as I entered the kitchen.

He was sitting at the kitchen island with a bowl of cereal set in front of him.

"No, Alex. I will be working from home." I replied as I walked to the refrigerator.

Natalie is already four months pregnant and I have become so protective of her. I won't allow her to go down or up the stairs on her own nor make her do any work. I wanted to make sure she and the baby are safe and letting her not to work and exhaust herself is one of the ways to keep her and the baby safe.

I have also promised her that I will always be here if she needs anything and has decided that I will be working from home until her delivery. I wanted to be around to help and he is the one person she can depend on since she had no one except her friends, Brie and Caleb.

Speaking of them, they are currently in my living room talking with Natalie. I actually didn't want them over here but since she begged me, I have to agree. I have also thought about forgiving them and since Natalie likes their company a lot, I have decided to let them visit any time.

Natalie was very happy when I told her that and I was happy too that she is happy. I really like seeing her smile, it makes me always want to keep her that way and I will.

I smiled, looking down at the promise ring that was on my finger. I had decided to purchase one for both of us in making a promise that I will always be committed to her and that I will always love her. It was a gift on her birthday.

"Oh, okay." Alex said before stuffing another mouth full of the cereal.

"Yes, I will be in the living room, if you need help with filling the file." I opened the refrigerator and grabbed a bottle of water before turning to him.

"Okay," he said before he went back to eating.

Walking into the living room, I smiled as my eyes caught Natalie. She was sitting on the opposite couch from Brie and Caleb with Fiona's head on her lap and Molly by her feet. I started making my way to her while hearing Brie's ranting about the gender of our baby.

"Hey," I greeted as I sat next to her and then kissed her on the lips.

"Hi," she greeted back.

"So, what are you guys talking about?" I asked, turning to look at Brie and Caleb.

"Well, we were discussing the gender of the baby. I think it is going to another girl, Lorenzo." Natalie said and I raised a brow at her.

"Really? Why do you think so?"

"Well, there is a saying that if you have an appetite for ice cream that you are going to have a baby girl. Besides, when I was pregnant with Fiona, I had the same appetite." She grabbed me by hand and I smiled, nodding my head.

I don't really care about the gender of the baby, I am just happy that she is carrying another baby for me. Our baby and this time, I am here.

"Well, I think it is going to be a boy, I want a little brother that I can protect." Fiona suddenly said in happiness and I smiled as Natalie looked at her with a little sadness on her face.

I knew she was thinking that she would be sad if she gave birth to another girl but she wanted a sibling to play with.

"Yes, I agree with Fiona. I just have a feeling that it is going to be a boy." Brie said and Fiona's eyes liter with happiness even more as she knows someone agrees with her.

"Yes, and me too." Celeb said and I turned to look at Natalie and she was smiling.

"Well, we will see when the time comes." She said before resting her head on my shoulder.



"Look, dude. I know you are nervous and I would be too but you have got this." Alex said, tapping my shoulder but I couldn't help it.

Today is the day, the day I have been waiting for such a long time. The day I was dreaming about ever since I have fallen in love with the woman that stole my heart.

I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down as I waited for her to arrive. I looked up and over to Alex who was looking out for her and his eyes widened when he saw her being escorted by Brie.

"She is here, dude." He said and I took another deep breath, composing myself.

This is it, this is the day I am going to propose to her. The day I am going to ask her to marry me. I can wait for her to say yes and be my wife for the rest of her life. It will make me the happiest man on earth to marry Natalie.

She has brought so much happiness to my life, so much that I haven't dreamed I will be able to. I don't know how I have lived so many years of my life without her. But now that I have found her, I am not going to let her out of my sight ever again.

I will always be by her side to protect her, support her in any way possible. I will be a shoulder for her to lean on, I just can't wait for her to say yes and make my family complete.
