Lila’s POV: In Korea; First Movie Press

“I am going to hit that director and no one is going to bloody stop me”
An angry Nick fumed as he stomped into my room. We had just moved in and picked our rooms when I saw the message from the director.
My guess, he had seen it too.
“How could he do this, wake up one morning and decide to push up a press conference that was scheduled next week? Is he insane?”
“I guess your scandal had something to do with it. After all, you are both actors of different classes. Sorry to say his baby, but you just won best rookie actress award and he is the best male actor.”
Ouch. But for some reason, hearing Rena call me baby made me recall a certain someone calling me the same name as he drilled me.
Focus Lila Rose Monroe. This is not the time to be thinking of R18 stuff when the man in question is in another continent all together.
“What do we do about it now? If the press was actually pushed forward cause of the claims then questions related to them will definitely be asked. One slip up and we are both screwed.”
Nicholas asked as we both gazed at Rena who had fully enter red manager mode.
“First off…”
She began. “We attend the press conference. Skipping it means the scandal is true. Answer all questions related to the movie. Let’s start from there. Leave the rest to me”
“Seems like you are going to be my new manager” Nick squealed like a little girl leaving me and Rena dumbfounded.
He was the only actor who had gotten to where he was without the help of a manager. And here he was, asking Rena to be his manager.
Rena tried to ask him about it but I gave her a signal to stop. Maybe it was a rush of emotions. Anyways we had a conference to prepare for.
“Show them what you guys are made of”
Rena encouraged us as we all gave each other a reassuring nod and Nick walked out to prepare.
Rena closed the door and turned to me.
“Do you think he was serious?”
“I don’t know. Would you accept him if it were?”
“Are you kidding? It would be a dream come true. But two things. First of all, I promised you you would be the only artist under me when we signed the contract with Starlight. And two, how the heck do I scout of resources for an A list actor?”
“You can have other actors. I told you before that I don’t mind. As for the second, we will think of it when he brings it up again. Today might just be because of a rush of emotions. That’s why I signaled you not to say anything yet.”
“Okay then. We will cross that bridge when we get there. Get ready so we leave on time”
“Yes ma’am”
Rena opened the door to leave but then paused and turned to me;
“You know you will always be my cupcake right?”
“I know”
I replied and smiled as she smiled back and left. That was her way of saying nothing would ever change between us. Even if she ended up with new artists.
Because if Starlight ever caught wind of Rena knowing Nick in person, there was a chance they would pressure her to sign him in.
And with Nick would come other artists. And for Rena that would be a very good boost. But with more artists came more responsibilities so we wouldn’t spend much time together.
That was why she had refused other artists and had gotten in trouble quite a few times in the company because of it.
Pushing the thought aside, I opened my box and brought out a simple black jumpsuit. It wasn’t much but it did do justice to my body shape and the back was showing.
I wore my hair down and paired with a hoagie of heels to top up my height a bit.
It was time to wow everyone.

“So today we have Nicholas Cole and Lila Monroe with us. The sequel to their movie, ‘His Empress’ just dropped. And we can say, this is truly a movie worth waiting for. Say Nicholas, how does it feel acting such a role once more? It has been long you acted such a movie. Plus it’s with a rookie actress”
“Uhmm. First of, don’t doubt Lila’s acting. Even I was wowed when the director said action. It takes her nothing to switch into character. An ability many talented actresses find difficult. Then as for the movie, I was doing a favor for someone important.”
“So you enjoy working with Lila then?”
“Well, we just started. So I can’t say for sure. But all in all, my experience with her has been okay”
That was it. Rena’s tactic. Don’t let them know we had any interaction behind the scene. Sighting us at the amusement park was purely a bonding session between the both of us for the sole purpose of the movie.
“And what about you Lila? Do you have anything to say about the movie? Or rather the male lead? I heard you didn’t know of him till he appeared on set”
“Yeah. That’s true. None of us knew who the male lead was and I was honestly shocked when I saw him. As for the movie, I have to say that I have never acted in a movie of this grade and I planned to give it my all.”
“Can I ask another question? Totally off topic but still related to the both of you?”
“Sure” Nick replied.
“So rumors spark after a harmonious picture of both of you leaked online and fans have been divided into two groups: either supporting you guys or going against it. What do you have to say about that Nicholas?”
“I think it’s all based of rumors. Just like the name implies. We are both actors who have come together to try something we both want and enjoy. We are not the first people to have a rumor after a time in a romance movie and we will definitely not be the last. So I guess that’s that”
“And what of the future? What do you have to say about that Lila?”
“Just like you said. The future. So whatever it holds is the answer.”
Just like that. It was perfect.
