Chapter 30 Would You Go With Me?

Naida
I couldn't think straight, and even that night, I couldn't sleep. My eyes were opened, staring at the ceiling, and moving to the door on purpose. I didn't even know what I was doing. I was worried, tense and tired. I didn't know what else to say.

Jayden was right, and the more I repeated it, the more I found myself having issues with it. I didn't know why, but I was more than shocked about it.

“You can't believe it, can you?" Mu woke up and I nodded. Well, that was the truth. I didn't know what else to do about the whole thing.

"I can't. That's the shocking part of it, I just can't believe it. I am trying so hard to believe that my mate wants to be here with him, but I am still bothered about a lot of things.”

I shook my head. “He clearly feels hesitant to tell me what's going on. Don't you think that's one of the things you need to know to make you aware of it? He doesn't want to say anything concerning it. Maybe you should just conclude it with me. If he's hesitant, then maybe…”

My wolf exhaled. She still didn't want to believe it, so she had been quite trying to come up with theories that might have been through or false.

“What if he didn't stay in the pack house. What if everything else was a lie, and you're forced to live in it?” She asked a single question that stung me like crazy. Well, she wasn't wrong, and I wasn't down to ask more questions, but then I knew something wasn't right.

“I just need you to see that you're not wrong. There are times where you are, but in this case you aren't wrong, and it's okay to not be wrong. We need to see Jayden as soon as possible.”

My wolf growled. She had a funny feeling about Jayden. I didn't know why but I guess it was all that way.

"You trust that Jayden guy way too much. And I don't think he's the right person to trust. There's something about the way he looks and talks to you. The look in his eyes doesn't seem normal."

I sighed. “You're making stuff up. He was just warning me okay? I know you're terrified, and worried, but maybe you should let it go. You should actually let it go, and think about what life really wants from you.”

This time, she went silent. It seemed the worse I had said to her hurt her deeply, and that wasn't the impression I wanted to give at first.

“You have to understand that I can't take the risk. I need to see Jayden, and I need to see him fast.” I said to her even when she was no longer responding to me.

Just then Olivia walked, slowly closing the door she had opened. However, before she slammed the door completely, she checked the hallway to make sure no one was coming before closing the door, and securing it with the key.

“You have to be careful. I know that there are a lot of things on your mind with this. I'll have to ask you to be careful with everything. Nobody deserves whatever is happening.” she said the moment she walked in, and then smiled to brighten the mood.

I sighed, exhaling. When I had said it to her earlier. I didn't tell her anything out of knowledge, but now that I knew his true nature, I was going to make sure I didn't stay here.

“I need to see Jayden….” I said, and without thinking, she exhaled.

"Well, you'll have to wait a bit. Right now, the alpha wants to have some alone time, and he might notice your presence missing, so stay."

I swallowed. “Alone time because I confronted him?” Well, what else should I have thought. That was the only possible reason for alone time from him which might be something so sad at this point.

"You have to be kidding me…" I muttered, and she rushed to sit near me. It seemed she had a question in mind which I wasn't sure I had answers to.

“You went to him yesterday. Don't you think you should be a little more rushed with your discussion with him? If the alpha finds out you're talking to another man, he's going to make sure to find him, and end him.”

I snapped my head towards her at the end of his part, and she pressed her into a thin line like she knew she had said something that offended me. Then she played with her finger while I tried to think of the next plan.

“You really don't have to do this right now..I know it's not as easy as expected but we have to make sure it happens. We have to make my meeting with Jayden possible. How long do you think he needs his alone time for?”

She shook her head, making an I don't know sign with her shoulders and inside palms that were now facing upwards.

“I don't know, but I'll be on the lookout. Once there's anyway, I'll let you know."

"I'd like to say thank you. Really. Thank you so so much. I know how hard it is for it to kick in, but I guess everything is going to be fine.”

She nodded. “I should be thanking you for letting me know. I can't support evil. I wish I knew earlier, still…” She trailed off, and smiled at me.

“And you're doing your best now. Don't feel weird about it, I know it's true. Maybe no one ever told you this, but I'm telling you now. You reply, "You'll need to start hatching a plan to escape.”

I was stunned Olivia was the one suggesting this.

"Escape? Maybe that's what you should be talking to him about. Maybe find a way to mask your scent, and leave."

I turned to her, holding both her hands as the atmosphere got intense. “Would you go with me?"
