Chapter 19 Touch Her Again. I dare you.

Luciver

I was in a meeting when a guard walked in. He seemed to have fear, and that was shat I liked about him. However, there was also something else. The way he walked carried a sense of urgency.

“There's a stranger in the pack house we really don't know what to do at all alpha. Lady Naida seem to know him which comes as a surprise to us,” the guard whispered after greeting me outloud. There was definitely something up, but I had a meeting to finish, and I didn't want to be distracted.

“Just make sure that you watch over them till I get there. Is that okay?” He gave a curt nod, and once he was away from my side, I found myself being worried. I knew what was going on was something that couldn't be explained. The fact that things were becoming even more complicated than it was supposed to be.

Who was she with, and what were they discussing. The last time I checked, she didn't have any relatives here, so I couldn't guess what was going on, but I hope things would be better anyways.

It wasn't long bedore I rounded up the meeting, maybe because I had lost my focus, or maybe it was because I didn't know what I was doing anymore, but all I knew was that there was something definitely wrong.

I left the meeting hall, and immediately headed towards the garden. My expression was hard, and my chest drummed while my wolf asked me to calm down.

“Well, you can never really tell what the friend is doing here. Don't conclude until you have that information," i didn't know why he was trying to tell me that because I had already concluded before i arrived there.

Upon arrival, my eyes turned dark, and my hands were fused in such a way that my nails dug deep into my skin as I tried to control the anger I felt inside.

I felt a wave of pocessiveness, and I tried to control myself, but it didn't work.

"Who are you, and why is your hand on my mate like that?” I said, glaring hard. If I was given the permission, I would enjoy tearing him apart limb by limb until he could no longer walk anymore.

“Luciver…” it was Naida. She immediately pulled her hands away from him, and I could tell how tensed, and nervous she felt at that very moment.

My sight moved to her for a bit, but I didn't waste time, dragging my eyes to the man who dared to hold my mate.

"Who are you!” I asked again, this time, my voice echoing through the garden. I wasn't someone to take this lightly, and it wasn't really my fault.

"He's my friend. My childhood friend actually,” he cut in, answering the question, however, my eyes didn't leave him, not even for one bit.

There was something about him that didn't sit right with me or even my wolf who had been asking me to calm down because he had also growled at the man in front of me.

“Friend? The way he held you didn't seem like he was just a friend. Besides, I don't see friends holding each other. Didn't you tell him that you have a mate?"

She swallowed, sweat forming on her forehead, and I noticed how he chest drummed. She was trying so hard to contain herself, but seemed like she couldn't.

“Um Luciver it's not the way you see it."

I raised any brows because she had never been this calm while talking to me. She was always so brave, so strong. There was something definitely off about this man, and I doubt he was just a friend to her, maybe even more.

“Well can't the young man speak for himself. Besides, if he's man enough to not show me any form of respect, then maybe he's man enough to speak for himself.”

I turned my head towards her direction, and she swallowed. It seemed like she didn't want this for escalate which was unlike her.

"I am Jayden. Jayden Marc, and I am a member of this pack. I've been here for about five years,” he explained, and I clicked my tongue.

"Hmm, I see.”

However that simple word was filled with jealousy.

"Leave.”

He was stunned, trying his best to be able to follow up, but it seemed like he couldn't.

"You heard me, Leave.” I said again, this time, my words leaving no room for warnings.

Naida stood there with her mouth open, and she tried her best to understand what the hell was going on.

“Luciver… I'll walk I'm to the–”

I shook my head when she offered to do that. "The guards will escort him out. As for you, you're coming with it.”

Her face turned pale, and she immediately frowned her face, and bit her lower lip. They seemed to be a lot already going on

"Well you really can't do this. I know that there's already a lot going on, but there's no need for you to make it obvious that there are things happening. I already said he's my friend, why are you making things complicated?”

Her sharo mouthed self was back, but I didn't wait to say anything. I rushed towards her, grabbed her hand, and pulled her away.

"Don't pull her like that!” He yelled, rushing towards me. He wanted to be the hero of the day, but it didn't seem to be my business because I was easy to make sure that he suffered the consequences.

“Don’t pull her like that!” He yelled, and this time, it wasn't funny because I immediately turned back, blocking his attempt to hit me before returning his attack which made him off.

He was now meters away from us, and was struggling to get up, dust, and flowers all over him.

"I told you to leave earlier. Don't provoke me!” my eyes flashed, and I was breathing hard, my chest moving to the pace, but she stepped in.

"Just go Jayden, don't worry. I'll be fine,” she assured, but I didn't spare her as well.

I grabbed her wrist tight, pulling her towards the house while she followed obediently.

Something was definitely up.
