Chapter 5 Beauty Behind Danger
After hearing these words from the demon wolf's mouth, Margarette appeared to swallow her tongue. Even though their family was going through a great deal of hardship, she had never considered getting married young. Even in her dreams, she was unable to picture herself getting married and starting a family.
Margarette will be able to accept that she will be the demon wolf's slave for the rest of her life, even if she must give him her own body, so long as he keeps his promise to return her safely to her world. To wed this being, though? What a great joke. How on earth will she be able to wed such a being? To give her consent to his wishes, her brain is still functioning normally. But if staying alive and leaving this place were still priorities for her, she would have been forced to give her consent against her will.
Is she destined to have this kind of life?
Since the day her father passed away, Margarette has felt as though the world has ended, and she has only her mother to blame who did nothing but love and understand her despite all the pain she caused her.
Margarette's mother passed away without Margarette apologizing to her. Her mother died distraught and bereaved. She deeply regrets everything she said and did, but no matter how many times she repents her sins, she will never be able to bring back her parents' lives.
Living alone is particularly difficult because you have no empathy for anything, whether it be ease or difficulty. Since Margarette lost all the significant individuals in her life, her life has been like this. She attempted suicide as a result of this because she truly believed that once she was completely gone from this world, all the sadness, pain, and anguish she had experienced every day would go away. However, she made a serious error in judgment, and she continues to regret it to this day.
Margarette's hand, which was holding the necklace, was clenched. She lowered her head, and he fixed her gaze on her hand. She was certain that if her grandfather were still alive, he would never permit this demon wolf to approach her. He will move out of the way to ensure her safety, but at this point, neither her grandfather nor her parents, nor even the necklace she is holding can provide her with more assistance than she can provide for herself.
"I agree. I will marry you if this is the only way for me to return to my world." Margarette's bitter reply nearly broke her heart, but she tried to be firm and strong in front of the demon wolf. She was aware that nothing would be simple for her, and at this point, her only tools were courage and confidence.
The demon wolf stopped moving after hearing what Margarette said. His lips curved into a smile. He looked up as he made his way slowly in Margarette's direction. His smile was as bright as the entire galaxy.
The demon wolf cupped Margarette's chin as he drew nearer to her side. He gently raised her chin until their eyes locked. After gently wiping away her tears. He tightly closed his eyes before giving Margarette a tender kiss on the lips.
While standing and gazing at the demon wolf's face, Margarette appeared to be a statue. She had a surprised look on her face. She was unable to avoid it because everything happened so quickly. It was all too late when she found her lips claimed by the creature in front of her.

"Listen carefully, Margarette. Now that you've finally entered this world, you need to be very careful because you never know when the creatures around you will attack you. I'm sure that's starting from the time you arrive here, they have already smelled you, and they will not stop until they find you. They can easily find you because of your smell especially if you are a virgin." Margarette was standing to his right, listening intently to everything he said.
Following what the demon wolf had revealed to Margarette, she swallowed one after another. When her grandfather was still alive, he frequently told her tales of these creatures. Because of the special talent she possesses, her parents constantly caution her and forbid her from talking to and befriending these creatures because doing so will only cause harm to herself.
Margarette was still a young girl, so she didn't take her parents' or her grandparents' advice seriously because to her, everything was normal and there was no need for her to be afraid of them. She was courted by these creatures.
Margarette responded, "I understand," but there was a tinge of fear and anxiety in her tone.
"Don't worry, none of these creatures around us can hurt you as long as I'm by your side," the demon wolf said. His every word was dripping with assurance.
"I will not allow the safety of my wife to be jeopardized," the demon wolf continued
To be completely honest, Margarette wasn't sure if it was appropriate for her to believe everything this creature said. If she compares what is happening to her right now to what happened in her dream, he is treating her with disdain right now. He was fierce and didn't seem to want to let her live in her dream. Even though their first encounter wasn't pleasant, she doesn't perceive or feel any evil force now that he is a part of this reality.
Margarette was perplexed as to why she was feeling this way. She had been trying to come up with a name for the emotion that was slowly starting to surface in her chest earlier. This was something she only noticed when he took her into his arms. She didn't know if all of this was considered to be a big prank and mania or just normal for someone like her. But as far as she knew, she had to hold back the feelings that were churning inside of her because doing this was the best course of action.
"I can take care of myself, so it's not necessary, and, as a final point, I'm confident they won't harm me," Margarette said firmly.
As soon as he heard Margarette's comments, the demon wolf stopped moving. He caught Margarette's attention, and she too stopped walking to stare in shock.
"Did I say something bad? Don't worry because what I said doesn't mean anything. My only point is that I've seen yokai for a long time and I see no reason to be afraid of them. Believe it or not, they're kind and they don't harm people." Margarette shook her head after saying this.
Margarette was unsure of whether or not to say those things. Why does she sometimes speak out, especially when it concerns his viewpoints and outlook on life? Additionally, she has had her reputation destroyed more than once due to the straightness and vulgarity of her mouth, but up until this point, she has continued to act in this way. She was so bold that perhaps this time she would have been hit if he hadn't been able to harm her earlier. When will she realize her own mistake?
"Not every yokai you see is a good creature you can trust; some of them are just pretending to take your trust, and when you give them the trust they hope for, they will torture you until you die. It would be nice if the so-called luck from heaven joined you, but what if it doesn't? Will you be able to defend yourself against them? You couldn't even get out of my arms earlier; what if their hands and arms were already wrapped around you? What are you going to do? Let’s say the ones you’ve met are kind of yokai, the question is; have you seen and met all kinds of yokai in person? I'm telling you, you don't want to meet them anymore."
"Please forgive me," Margarette answered as she lowered her head.
The straightforward question had a profound effect on Margarette. She was left speechless at that very moment because the demon wolf was entirely accurate in all of his assertions. She has seen and interacted with these creatures for the longest period, yet she has never once asked herself these questions. She was just concerned with standing up for his convictions because she owned her life and wouldn't let anyone tell her what to believe or not.
"As for me, Margarette, don't just believe everything your eyes see, especially sweet words they are telling you because they could lead you to certain doom. You don't have to apologize because you haven't done anything wrong. I understand everything you said and there is nothing wrong with that because it's your own opinion."
"Is that the message you're trying to get through to me, that I shouldn't believe all you've told me?"
In response to Margarette's query, the demon wolf grinned. They are more intellectual and capable despite their fragility, which is exactly what he anticipated from a mortal like her. Characteristics that yokai, like him, like so much that they would risk anything to have a mortal at their side.
The demon wolf turned to face Margarette, "Do you suppose, I'm like the yokai I say, Margarette?"
When Margarette heard the query the demon wolf had been posing, she looked up and then turned to face him.
Margarette glanced at the complete appearance of the demon wolf, "You're the only one who can answer that question. Should I believe you or not?"
"Shouldn't you, Margarette, be the one to respond to that question?" The demon wolf smirked once more before returning Margarette's question to her.
The demon wolf continued walking and said, "If you think everything is just a big game, you're free to do whatever you want, but just a reminder, don't expect me to come to help you when you get into trouble. So if I were you, it would be better if you just stayed by my side until our wedding was over. You too may regret being trapped in this world forever."
Margarette was still incomprehensible. All that the demon wolf had told her was still on her mind. She reasoned that if she made a mistake, he would carry out all of his threats, therefore she should try to avoid upsetting him as much as possible. Whatever happens, she doesn't care as long as she can get back to her world.
"If you're still thinking about what I said, forget it and choose to live in this world with me until our wedding comes; right now, you need food and rest, and I'm sure you'll enjoy the food prepared here, especially the beautiful rooms and soft beds that can only be found in famous hotels," the demon wolf said with a smile. Margarette looked at him in astonishment.
Margarette was unsure if the demon wolf was attempting to make her laugh. She sees nothing but large forests and fields surrounded by huge and towering trees, so how can there be excellent food, let alone an expensive hotel in this location that can only be found in their world, as she averted her glance from him, her eyes widened at what she had witnessed.
As she peered about, Margarette's eyes nearly burst. The large tree she encountered when she arrived at this location had developed into a tall tower. Because of the enormous and towering structures, the broad woodland and meadow appeared to be a city. The beauty of the surroundings as a whole is beyond words. This place was a lot more lovely and civilized than their world, even though she didn't want to admit it to herself.
The demon wolf asked Margarette, "Did you like it, Margarette?" Margarette didn't say anything at all. She kept staring at the whole place as though she were deeply hypnotized.
