Chapter – 7
Third Person’s POV
Vihaan looked at Trisha who was happily getting ready. Trisha could feel a pair of eyes on her. She looked back at Vihaan who was sitting in his wheelchair, with a raised eyebrow. Vihaan shook his head with a small smile on his face indicating nothing.
“No, there must be something you want to tell me. Why are you looking at me like that? Am I looking bad?” - Trisha asked, pouting her face while checking herself in the mirror.
“No, how could you look bad? You are looking beautiful.” - Vihaan replied genuinely.
“So, you think, I am beautiful. Is your girlfriend as beautiful as me?” - Trisha asked with interest.
Vihaan made a face. “Why are you so interested in my girlfriend? What does it matter to you if she is beautiful or not?” - Vihaan asked.
Trisha's interest in Vihaan's girlfriend was at its peak. She had been asking Vihaan about ‘her’ at every chance she was getting since she found out Vihaan loves someone and married her for that person’s happiness.
“I would not have been showing so much interest if you had told me about her and shown me her pictures. I am ready to meet you with my boyfriend but you are not ready to tell me her name. This is not fair.” Trisha said in a complained tone.
“I have told you I have no interest in meeting with your boyfriend. I am not showing any interest in him. You also stop showing any interest in my love life. Ok?” - Vihaan advised.
“You are a very boring person. If we know each other's partners, we can go on double dates.” - Trisha suggested.
“No, thank you. I have no interest in going on any dates. Now, hurry up. You are taking too long to get ready. We have to go downstairs for breakfast.” - Vihaan stated.
“ Hey! I am not taking long to get ready. I have just started getting ready. Don’t forget; it was you who sent me out of the room because you needed some privacy. Now don’t blame me.” - Trisha grumbled.
“Ok, fine! It is my fault. I wasted time. Happy!” - Vihaan made a face and then asked, “ can we go now?”
Trisha nodded. “I wonder how your girlfriend tolerates a boring person like you,” Trisha murmured while walking towards the door. Vihaan shook his head and sighed; seeing Trisha’s so much curiosity.
Trisha was about to open the door, she stopped her track and looked back at Vihaan with a questioning gaze. Vihaan looked at Trisha with an uninteresting face and asked in a sarcastic tone “ Now, What question do you have, madam?”
“You didn’t tell me how to behave in front of your family.” - Trisha told him about her doubt. She was not sure about it.
“I thought you were a human. Oh, my bad! I should have understood that until now. Do you know how humans behave? If yes, then behave like a human. Ok?” - Vihaan joked with Trisha.
Trisha rolled her eyes and said in a duh tone “ I was thinking about your good. I don’t know if they know about our marriage as a contract marriage. Do I need to behave like a good, lovely wife or…” - Trisha continued her blabbering.
Vihaan interrupted her “ Just be yourself. You don’t have to pretend anything. Just behave the way you always behave with others.”
“Ok, fine. Don’t tell me anything later.” - Trisha shrugged her shoulders.
In the dining area…
Trisha got a little surprised when she noticed everyone started eating breakfast without waiting for them. In her house, no one starts eating until everyone is present together. She thought maybe Vihaan’s family’s rule was different. She didn’t think much of it.
She wished everyone a good morning and everyone also wished her back. But she found it strange when neither Vihaan wished anyone nor anyone wished him. She looked at everyone and thought that she didn’t know anyone properly as she had not met anyone before. She assumed seeing their age, who was who.
There was an elderly woman who was almost the same age as Trisha’s grandma. She assumed she was Vihaan’s Grandma which was correct. Another woman in her late forties, Trisha assumed she was Vihaan’s mother. Which was half correct. She was Vihaan’s mother but stepmother. The male person in his mid-fifties, present there was Vihaan’s father and the person who was almost the same age as Vihaan was his stepbrother.
Trisha's eyes were searching for Vihaan’s grandfather whom she met before. She was a little confused why he was not present there. She had also not seen him during their wedding ceremony.
As usual, she didn’t control her curiosity and asked “ where is grandfather?”
Vihaan wanted to bang his head upon hearing his curious wife’s question.
“Who?” - Vihaan’s stepmother and grandmother asked at almost the same time with a frowned expressions.
