A soft ray of sun touched my face and made me open my eyes. The sun was just starting to rise, and a cold breeze moved across my skin along with that familiar warm feeling of sparks.

A sleepy groan came from below me. It took me a few seconds to figure out where I was and who was hanging onto my arms.

Leona.

I kissed her forehead and blew the loose hair off her face. We were in the middle of the forest, naked, with her sitting in my lap and her head on my chest while I held her like a baby.

This was pure happiness.

After she caught a small rabbit, I let Rain eat it, but she was nice enough to share it with Rogue. She would not eat until he ate with her. Then we ran and played some more before resting under this tree. Leona fell asleep in her wolf form, but she shifted to her human form once her head dropped into sleep. I shifted after that and took her into my arms. I told myself I would rest for a while, hold her, and carry her home, but I passed out too.

I have not had good sleep for a long time, and this was the best I had in days. It did not matter that we were not in bed. I guessed it was enough that she was in my arms.

Something moved in the bushes nearby, and that got me and my wolf alert. I held her tighter in a defensive way, letting my Alpha aura roll off me while she slept peacefully and purred softly.

The noise in the bushes turned out to be Silas and Chloe. Their eyes went wide, but they both bowed their heads when my Alpha aura hit them.

"Sorry, Alpha. We are just passing by. We came from patrolling. We did not notice," he said, his voice firm but respectful.

"What time is it?" I asked, my brows coming together. How long did we sleep?

"Almost six, Alpha."

"Give me your shirt," I said in a calm tone, almost quiet, so I would not wake her up.

Silas and Chloe looked at each other before they went to a tree behind us. Silas came back without his shirt, and Chloe walked behind him wearing it.

Silas handed Chloe's shirt to me. "Sorry, Alpha. Better her shirt than mine. Women are complicated. I hope you understand," he said while Chloe looked down at her bare feet. I could feel unease coming off both of them.

I laughed a little. "I understand. I am sure Leona would do the same thing." I took Chloe's shirt and looked at her. "Thanks, Chloe. You can both go home and rest. Thank you for patrolling."

They both nodded and held hands before nodding at me. "See you around, Alpha," Chloe said with a smile as she looked one last time at Leona, her shirt covering Leona's naked body.

They left, and I was still in the same spot, wondering how I was going to walk her home naked in my arms without anyone seeing her.

I pulled her face away from my chest and tucked the loose hair behind her ear. I needed to wake her up before more patrollers came by. But I could not bring myself to do it yet.

I decided to get on my feet and carefully carry her toward the tree line in front of her house, making sure we did not run into anyone on the way.

As I made my way back to where our clothes were, she stirred, and her eyes opened.

I was looking into her beautiful sapphire eyes, and she seemed lost for a moment before everything clicked in her head. Her eyes went wide with shock, and she struggled to get out of my hold, so I had to put her down. Chloe's shirt fell off, and she was naked again.

"Goddess!" she said in a quiet voice. She bent down to pick up the shirt and put it on. "I need to go home."

"Relax. We will just go get our clothes." I pulled her close to my side and turned her to walk the right way. Her body went stiff, and she kept her neck and head straight ahead like she did not want to look down at me.



Leona

We walked in silence to where we left our clothes. I could not look at him when I knew he was completely naked. I could not believe I fell asleep in his arms with no clothes on. What would have happened if someone saw us? My reputation was already getting worse.

"Leona?"

"Hhhmmm."

"Are you mad that we fell asleep in the forest?"

"No. It is just that you could have woken me up as soon as you did. You did not have to carry me around naked." I felt my face get hot, and the feeling of his body against mine brought back that familiar tingle in my core. Shit.

I rushed forward when I saw the tree, grabbed my clothes, held them tight against my chest, and squeezed my legs together, glad we were outside.

I did not bother changing. The one I was wearing was loose and long enough, more like a dress. It covered me more than Leo's shirt I had on last night.

I heard him moving behind me, and then he came and stood in front of me with his clothes on.

"You can look at me now." That annoying, smug grin was still on his face.

I rolled my eyes and asked him, "Whose shirt is this? Smells familiar." I just could not remember.

"Chloe's."

"She saw us?" My eyes went wide again. I could not believe she saw us.

"Yep. Her and Silas. Silas gave his shirt to her so Chloe could give hers to you."

"This is so embarrassing." My face felt hot, and I wanted to blame someone. "This is all your fault. If you did not come into my room, none of this would have happened. Now everyone is going to talk about me being naked with you."

"My fault? You called me, or so I thought. So I came. I thought you were giving me a free show." He did not hide that smug grin as he looked at me with those deep, dark blue eyes. It was early morning, and his hair was messy, but he still looked hot.

Damn. He loved that I was staring at him, and it was making my skin burn.

"I hate you," I snapped and showed my teeth at him.

"Hmmmn. I do not think so. I heard something different last night."

"Jacob Galhart. If I hear you talk about last night again, I will... aaaargh." I did not know what to do, so I just stomped on his foot and turned around to walk away.

"Do not worry. I ordered them not to say anything about it."

I heard him speak and thought he would follow me, but he did not. For once, I was glad he had that Alpha command thing.

Rogue and I had fun last night. See you around, princess.

He sent that into my mind before I closed the door and snuck into my room.
