Marked By Moon, The Female Alpha Who Rejected Her Mate

Being a female Alpha is rare, especially in a world that still doubts women in power. Every move I make is judged. Any sign of weakness would be used against me. Love is not just love for someone like me. It is a sign of weakness. Taking an Alpha consort feels like risking the pack my grandfather handed to me. He ruled without a mate. If he could do it without a mate, so can I. So when fate bound me to Leo Leonidas Blackwood, my childhood friend, the one I once loved without fear, I rejected him without delay. I chose my throne over the bond. But a mate bond does not disappear because an Alpha says no. It lingers. It pulls. Now everyone is watching. The elders want me to have a mate. The pack wants stability. But no one asks what I want. Because loving him once broke me and choosing him again might destroy us both. .
