Danger!
' Trouble! Big trouble!' she thought to herself, panicking as she fell into thought as to how to get out of this mess. She could very well try to run away at the moment, but what about Kyley?

" Why?" Jason stopped on his step forward and asked with a creased gaze. He spread a palm and shook his head dramatically as though he'd given Paige everything in the world only to for her to betray him.

Paige couldn't help but shudder at Jason's words, her eyes darted about as she became horrified. If she doesn't do something soon, she would have to spend the rest of her days in that basement with Kyley as Jason's torture pigs.

Nonetheless, she knew she had no way of fighting Jason. She could only try to stall for time at the moment.

Paige looked around in search for something to protect herself with as she slowly took cautious steps back, hoping that there was enough distance to escape.

" You're sick, Jason. You need help..." She shifted into her human form and said, shaking her head severally. She spread an arm beside her, instinctively covering Kyley to protect her.

" I found out who you are Jason. And I can't stay around to be used as a torture pig! You're crazy, get some help!" Paige stated in a pained, and scared whisper. Her voice trembling as she spoke. She was trying to stall for time with her words.

Jason frowned hearing Paige but his expression soon relaxed. " Leave, and I might forgive you. All I want is that bitch!" He said in a grim tone, pointing at Kyley who just lay on the floor, trying her hardest to push herself up to a stand. However, she was severely injured and would need a while to regain her bearing.

Tap! Tap! Tap!

" Leave, Paige!" Jason growled with gritted teeth as he took slow steps forward towards them.

" Why must you have her?" Paige retorted back at Jason, asking as though she was genuinely curious to know just why Jason wanted Kyley so badly. She couldn't bring herself to leave Kyley knowing just what sort of fate awaited her in Jason's hands.

" You know who she's now with? He won't forgive you if you touch a hair on her!" Paige bluffed, taking slow steps back.

Kyley grimaced in pain as she used the tree to support herself to a stand. She mustered every strength she had to do this. " Paige, go!" She warned, grunting through her nose.

" Are you so obsessed with her?" Nonetheless, Paige continued to tease, hoping to annoy Jason and make him target her instead. That way, they could split up and escape with Jason in pursuit of her while Kyley was free to run away.

" Paige!" Jason growled, craning his neck to the side as he slowly began to lose it. His slow steps became quickened as he glared at Paige.

" You're in love with her aren't you? Haha!"

" Paige!" Jason roared angrily as he shifted into his wolf form.

Her words just now was the greatest insult anyone could throw at him. He, the alpha of the Moonblood pack, falling in love with a weak omega like Kyley?

" You brought this up on yourself!" He roared as he dashed in a fit of rage at Paige.

" Let's split up. Go! Go! I'll meet you at the cabin" Paige stopped on her laughter and jest, instantly donning a serious expression as she warned Kyley in a panicky tone. Paige ran to the left without looking back, hoping to lure Jason away from Kyley.

However, " where do you think you're going? Before she could even think to escape, Jason leapt in front of her as though he knew just what she was planning to do.

Besides, Kyley hadn't moved an inch from where she was either. She just stood there by the tree with widened trembling eyes as she stared in a daze.

She was scared to leave Paige alone to face Jason!

Paige paused on her dash as she was cut short. All of her efforts ended up being in vain.

" You're both coming along with me. Resist and die!" Jason said in a beastly growl that caused both Paige and Kyley to shudder as they slowly backed up.

Rargh!

He suddenly snarled and leapt at Paige.

The latter was afraid at first but in the face of danger, she instinctively had the urge to fight back when all choices were spent.

Paige straightened her spine to stand on her hind legs and swung her forelimb, striking her claw forward in a swift motion at Jason.

Sha!

Her claws cut at Jason's side but the latter didn't seem to be perturbed in any way. He struck a claw at Paige's head down to her snout, causing her to tumble to the side.

Thud! Thud! Thump!

" Owww!" Paige howled in pain as she rolled on the floor. She shifted back into her human form and held her face that was instantly covered in blood the moment she did. Her breath was erratic as she felt a stinging excruciating pain all over her face.

However, with her heart still pounding in her head, Paige pushed herself to stand up and stood to face Jason regardless.

" Run, Kyley! Run!" Paige warned in a tired, hurt tone as she heaved heavy breaths. She shifted into her wolf form once again, not minding the sharp scratches on her face that caused blood to flow and splatter on the floor.

Kyley hearing Paige froze in spot. Her heart squeezed in fright seeing Paige's state. However, she knew that she was the reason behind this as things would have been different if she'd done as Paige said earlier when she suggested that they split up.

And now? She didn't want Paige's efforts to go wasted this time. She mustered all the strength she had, ignoring the tormenting aches all over her body as she moved herself to run away.

" You don't dare!" Jason growled seeing Kyley escape and turned to chase after her.

However, Paige seeing that Kyley was escaping didn't waste time to charge at Jason. She knew that the latter would pursue after Kyley if she didn't stop him from doing so.

Paige ran after Jason, charging at him. However, the latter just continued in pursuit of Kyley. He didn't stop to face her!

She soon realized that she'd fallen into another of Jason's trap. The Moonblood pack alpha stayed in pursuit of Kyley knowing that Paige wouldn't have a choice but to also follow behind him in a bid to protect Kyley!

The rat, cat, and dog pursuit through the dark woods didn't last too long as Kyley was running on foot while Jason had his strength enhanced under the full moon. Hence, he soon caught up to Kyley.

" You're mine!" Right behind Kyley, he growled as he raised his claw high above and swiftly swung it down at Kyley.

Kyley shivered in fright as she suddenly felt a cold chill run down her spine. The hair on her neck stood erect as her instincts warned her of the looming danger behind her.

However, she could only turn her head sideways to look up at the silver sharp claws that shone under the dim lighting of the moonlight as it struck down at her.

Kyley being unable to see what was in front of her while still running suddenly tripped.

Her vision slowed considerably and her heart pounded wildly as the claws were reflected in her pale blue eyes right in front of her face.

Swoop!

Just then , the claws swung at the air in front of her as an even more ferocious growl was heard all around. Rarghhh!

Within an instant, a figure shot out from the tall bush in the side and tackled Jason, pushing the latter over the slope.

Kyley whose heart pounded in her ears as her pale white face stared with widened expression, fell on her behind. She hurried up however, to see just what was going on.

The moonlight shone through the small spaces in the tall trees, illuminating the dark shaded fur of a tall feral monster with a large snout and slightly bent back standing in all might on its hind legs.

Grrr!

The beast growled at the werewolf before it, threatening it to a fierce duel...

" Darren?" Kyley couldn't mistake the sight of this beast for anything in the world. She expressed disbelief as she cried out his name with a relieved heart when she saw him.

His scent that instantly mixed with the air around filled her senses, calming her perturbed heart considerably.

" Kyley. You okay?" Paige arrived by her side and asked with a trembling gaze.

However, Kyley nodded her head in a slow daze without moving her gaze away from Darren's figure.

She couldn't be any less glad at the moment.
