Chapter 12

Westley's POV

"No-no-what?" she said, her voice cracking as she slowly looked down at the paper.

Her eyes welled up with tears as she read the paper, covering her mouth I watched the tears trickle down her face.

It felt like I had been hit with a ton of rocks as I watched her cry.

I reached out and held her hand, as she looked up at me. She was still in tears but no words coming out.

"I'm-we're so

sorry." I said, Andrew got up and walked over to us, he got on his knees in front of her.

so

"You-you need to leave him." I looked straight at him.

"Ya think you could've eased into that a little better?" I said as I slapped his shoulder.

She stuck her hand up

"No, no Andrew is right. I just-I can't believe I was so stupid." she said wiping away her tears.

"Mom! You are not stupid." he said

"Yes! Yes I am! I had my hunch that he might have been cheating-but I dismissed it when I thought of how silly I must've sounded."

I looked away

"Why did you think that before?" Andrew asked

"A few years ago, your father went to a business conference down in Miami, when I called him one night I heard the sound of a woman's voice in the background.

I asked him if he had a woman with him, I got angry. He proceeded to tell me that he was at a bar, and that there were a group of women near where he was sitting.

But I heard no other noise in the background but her voice.

He kept assuring me he wasn't with anyone. So I brushed it off.

This just proves I was correct." she said breaking down again, this time covering her face.In again, this time covering her face.I looked at Andrew.

"Look we called to set up a hotel room for you, we can help you pack up your stuff and Andrew can take you there."

"What? What-no your father will find out an-"

"Mom! Stop. I refuse to let you live in a home where your "husband" isn't faithful, where he lies to your face."

She cupped her chin in her hand,

"Alright. Alright." Andrew stood up and helped her stand.

"I'll help you pack up." he said rubbing her back.

"Boys."

We both looked at her

"You both, are the best part of me. I want you to know that. Thank you." she said touching the sides of our faces.

We hugged her,

"But- West, what are you going to do?"

"I'm staying here. I'd like to have a talk with him."

"West! No, please I can't have yo-"

"Mom! Stop, this needs to be done. I'm not just doing this for you, but for mine and Andrew's benefit."

She pursed her lips and nodded as she mouthed the word 'okay'.

She kissed my cheek as she left and got in the car, Andrew put her third suitcase in the trunk of her car and shut it as my mom climbed in the passenger side.

"Make sure he knows what a douche he is." Andrew said pointing a finger at my chest

"Don't worry, I plan on it."

A half hour later I sat in the kitchen, my feet propped up on their very expensive Italian table.

I heard the sound of the front door shutting as I watched my dad enter the kitchen.

"Westley? What are you doing here? Get your feet off of that table!" He ordered.

I kept them there,

"Nah, I think I'm alright. But thanks for the offer."

I said as I grabbed my glass of whiskey and took a sip, I had poured myself a glass of his favorite and most expensive whiskey he owned.

He glared me down.

"Westley Evans Johnson! Get your feet off my table this isn't-is that my whiskey?" He yelled.

I took another sip and gave him a nod

"Yeah! You know it has a great taste, really bold, lots of flavor." I said as I gave him a smirk and took another sip.

He looked at me in shock. The veins in his neck showing, he was getting pissed.

Exactly where I wanted him.

"What is wrong with you!" he yelled, I stood up and walked towards him as I shook the cup in my hand. Watching the drink swirl around.

Like a tornado.

I stood close to his face and pulled the note out as I held it in front of his face, holding it in between my index and middle finger.

He grabbed it out of my hand and opened it up furiously, I took a step back and leaned up against the counter as I watched him scan the paper.

His eyes shot up to my face.

"Oh, what's wrong? Did I find something of yours?" I said cocky with a smirk.

"Where did you find this?" He said raising his voice, and stepping towards me.

I shrugged my shoulders "Where?" He yelled, I looked at him in shock and then smirked again.

His hands immediately became fists.

"Really Evans? We're going to resort to fists? Haven't we learned from that one time, when you an I went to a fighting ring and I knocked you out cold." His eyes were wide, dangerous.

"You are really walking on thin ice right now Westley!" he yelled

I grinned

"So, tell me Evans. Who is she? A student? What's her name?" I asked setting down my drink and crossing my arms. Waiting to get answers from him.

"You better watch your mouth!" he yelled again

"Nah, I think I'm fine. I kinda like being just as surprised as you by what I say."

"So tell me? How long have you been seeing her? A few months? A few years? Was

-the girl you were with in Miami on your business trip a couple years back?"

He walked up towards me and pointed a finger at me, but said nothing.

"How'd you know about that?

"Ah, so you WERE in a room with another woman that time when mom called.

Oh it's okay, mom told us all about it. Actually a few hours ago, you know that was before she packed up her stuff and left your ass." I said giving him another smile.

"You bastard!" he yelled at me as I watched his fist fly towards my face.

I ducked and kneed him in the stomach, as he fell to the ground.

"C'mon Evans! You should have seen this one coming! How long did you honestly think it'd be before we found out?" I shout as I stand over him.

He looked up at me coughing as he held his stomach.

"C'mon Robert! Huh? How long did you think it'd be before she found out and left you! Huh? Tell me?" I yelled out, as I picked up my glass of whiskey and threw the glass up against the wall.

I watched as it shattered into a million pieces and fell to the ground not far from him.

He finally stood up and lunged for me but fell to the ground as I ducked again.

"You're fucking pathetic! You sicken me! You aren't my dad! You're a stranger! A stranger that has no sense of respect!

A stranger who has no compassion for the people he claims to "love" ". I shout, my pulse racing rapidly.

He looked at me anger all across his face.

"Get out of my house! Don't bother coming back here again! and you can tell your mother and fuck up of a brother the same!" He yelled as he grabbed the counter to stand up.

I grabbed my coat off of the chair in the living room and walked towards the front door.

"Oh don't worry, I wasn't planning on it." I yelled as I slammed the door shut and walked towards my car.

Was I proud of how that went?

Yes.
