Chapter 11

Luna's POV

I opened my eyes and looked around my bedroom groggy. Yawning, I rub the sleep out of my eyes which is when I realized I had slept in the dress I had worn to the dinner.

"Woah. Rough night?" Katherine said standing in my doorway with a coffee mug in her hands, she wore a long t-shirt that covered her butt and knee high socks.

"I can't believe I slept in this." I said standing up.

"Help me out of it?" still exhausted,

"Could you get me Advil too by the way." I asked in regards to my killer headache.

She helped me unzip the side of the dress and then handed me some Advil from a bottle on my dresser as I changed.

"So how'd it go?" she asked as l walked out of my room and down the hall into my kitchen.

"It went pretty well, or at least I thought so." I said as I started a cup of tea for me.

"Were they nice?"

"To be honest, the wife was the sweetest, she really took interest in what I had to say, where as the husband.

Basically my boss, seemed to care less and then there was West..." I said shaking my head.

"West? Uh hello! You never mentioned a third person.

Oh my god, wait!

Is he their really hot son? With dark hair That West?"

I squinted my eyes at my sister and turned around

"Why does everyone think that about him."

"Uh hello have you seen the guy? He was voted one of the hottest men the last three years in a row in Gossip Column Magazine, 2012-2014."

"So was it him?" She proceeds

"If I say yes..will you shut up?" she nodded her head rapidly.

"Yes, and honestly he's nothing that special." I said turning my back on her again.

Okay, maybe I was lying.

But I wasn't about to tell her that!

She crossed her arms

"You might not want to admit it now...but in due time...you will." she said, almost in a threatening way as she grabbed her coffee mug and left.

Westley's POV:

I awoke to the loud sound of Bobbie's barks in response to repeated loud knocking on my door downstairs.

I slowly rolled out of bed in nothing but boxers; I stretched before heading downstairs, not worrying about putting a shirt or pants on.

As I open the door, I see Andrew walk in.

"Hi West! Oh hi Andrew! Yeah come on in Andrew!

Oh, yeah no it's totally fine that your knocking woke me up. I'll get over it." I continued sarcastically, still standing in the entry of my open doorway.

"Hey jackass how about you stop being annoying and actually sit down and talk to me."

"Do you mind explaining to me why you're in my home at seven-thirty in the morning?" I asked aggravated.

"Yeah I'm getting to that. It's about dad."

I raised an eyebrow

"What about him?"

"I'm convinced he's having an affair."

I leaned back into my couch, not him too.

"Yeah? What makes you so sure of that?"

He pulled out a piece of folded up paper from his pocket and handed it to me.

"What is-"

"Just read it!"

I scanned the page with the messages on them.

'I'm so excited to you see tonight.'

'Me too, I'll be sure to bring the champagne.'

I read the texts, they were to a women named Danika.

said another text from my dad to her.

Can you try and get out of class today? I have a surprise for you ;)'

My pulse raced as I continued to read them.

My eyes shot up to look at Andrew.

He looked increasingly mad as he held his hands in front of his face,

I looked back down at the page

'I promise nobody in my family knows about us.'

'Are you sure?'

'Yes, don't listen to what all of these newsstands are printing about it.'

'Okay, good. I really don't want this to end.'

'Trust me, I could give two shits about them.'

'You promise me...you're going to leave her though? How much longer?'

I ran my hand over my face as I continued

'Yes, I'm planning on leaving her soon. Don't worry.'

'Good, I'm so excited.'

I crumpled up the piece of paper and threw it across my living room

"Fuck!" I shouted out loud and stood up.

Andrew sat as still as a statue on the couch.

"How could he do this to us? I mean I knew he was an ass but not this big of an ass!" I continued to yell

I began to pace back and forth, my dog Bobbie looked up at me as I did.

I proceeded to cuss and yell, as I aggressively kicked over a chair near me.

Andrew still said nothing.

I raked my hands through my hair, aggression coursing through my veins.

"We have to tell mom." I said staring at Andrew.

"What? No! It'd kill her! We can't!" Andrew said standing up yelling at me.

"Than what happens when he comes to her and says he's leaving her! What do you think will kill her more?

Having her children tell her the truth, so she can have time to process it!

Or have her fuck up of a husband come home and tell her he's leaving her for another women!" I shout as I threw my hand out to the side to make my point.

Andrew said nothing, just looked at me.

"You can do what you want! But I'm telling her!" I said shoving passed him, I picked up the crumpled up piece of paper with the messages on it.

"Now?" he yelled as he followed me.

"Yes, now!" I said spinning around to face him.

"Fine. Then I'm coming with you." he said grabbing his coat off of my couch. I quickly ran up the steps and changed into some clothes and it wasn't long until we headed towards the elevator.

I balled my hands up in fists as we rode the elevator down to the parking garage.

~*~

Thirty minutes later we pulled into the driveway of our parents house, I didn't even want to call him my father anymore.

I began to bang on the door until our mom opened it.

"West? Andrew? What's goin-"

"We need to talk with you! Now!" I said as we shoved passed her and walked inside.

She shut the door and looked at us worried.

"Uh, okay. Let's go to the living room." she said, she looked fragile.

It made it hurt even more to think that the man I grew up calling dad was a lying cheat piece of shit.

We got into the living room and sat down.

"What-what is this about?"

Andrew sat across from her, he cupped his hands together and hung his head low.

"Westley?" she asked looking concerned.

"Mom, it pains me to tell you this...but I'm doing it for your benefit."

She stared blankly at me.

I pulled the paper out of my pocket and handed it to her.

She unfolded it.

"Dad is having an affair..."

"We think with a student, most likely in college." Andrew said chiming in.

"No-no-what?" she said, her voice cracking as she slowly looked down at the paper.

Her eyes welled up with tears as she read the paper, covering her mouth I watched the tears trickle down her face.

It felt like I had been hit with a ton of rocks as I watched her cry.

I reached out and held her hand, as she looked up at me. She was still in tears but no words coming out.

"I'm-we're so

sorry." I said, Andrew got up and walked over to us, he got on his knees in front of her.

so

"You-you need to leave him." I looked straight at him.

"Ya think you could've eased into that a little better?" I said as I slapped his shoulder.

She stuck her hand up

"No, no Andrew is right. I just-I can't believe I was so stupid." she said wiping away her tears.

"Mom! You are not stupid." he said

"Yes! Yes I am! I had my hunch that he might have been cheating-but I dismissed it when I thought of how silly I must've sounded."

I looked away

"Why did you think that before?" Andrew asked

"A few years ago, your father went to a business conference down in Miami, when I called him one night I heard the sound of a woman's voice in the background.

I asked him if he had a woman with him, I got angry. He proceeded to tell me that he was at a bar, and that there were a group of women near where he was sitting.

But I heard no other noise in the background but her voice.

He kept assuring me he wasn't with anyone. So I brushed it off.

This just proves I was correct." she said breaking down again, this time covering her face.
