Chapter 23
Chapter 23
Sitara.
Yesterday was a very busy day at the hospital, Once the children woke up, they were scared to go back to the orphanage.
Daniel and I had to bribe them with sweets and threats, and as for Hannah, they decided that she would be placed in a human foster care system because they couldn't risk her doing what she did again.
The Alphas returned Kate last night as they had a stop to make before coming home, I didn't see them but was just notified by a warrior they had sent.
Mariah and Kyle don't have work today sewing that it's a Sunday, so they came over to help me bake some cookies to take to the children.
When we arrived, they were outside playing in the park, and the Alphas were here also, along with their parents.
"Luna Sitara."
One of the children called to me, and they all ran in my directing, stretching for hugs, and for my to hold them in their arms.
"Luna, Hannah told us that you saved her. Is that true?"
"No, no, Hannah was a very brave girl. She saved herself."
"Is that cookies Luna, you brought us cookies?"
Another one of the children asked.
"Yes, as a thank uou for you all being so brave and hiding yourself away safety."
"Thank you, Luna."
They all pulled us inside the house and placed us on one of their little chairs to sit. They began pulling out toys from their toy box, little crowns, and cars.
one of them placed their flower crown in my head, another on Kyle's and Mariahs, all the while Travis and Tristan stood there watching.
Time was going by quickly, and before you know it, it was time for me to leave, Kyle and Mariah told me to go ahead.
"So would you be walking back home, or can we take you home?"
I hear Tristan say from behind me.
"Hi."
"Hi."
He replies with his arms folded and a wide smile on his face.
"I could walk it's not a problem, I know you guys came here with your parents and....."
"You're not walking."
He says before leaning in for a hug. He totally caught me off guard, but instead of staying stiff like a statue, I embrace the huge and pull him in closer
"Where is my hug, none for me?"
Travis comes over running with his arms opened wide, and I couldn't help but smile at his silly behavior. I am so happy they are back, I now feel much more safe and much more protected.
"I heard our Luna went running into the woods last night to save our Beta."
Tristan said.
"I... I had to, no one..."
"It's alright, you don't have to feel bad for protecting your pack next time. Just be more careful ok sweet cheeks."
Travis said, pulling in my left cheek.
"So, did you help with making us lunch?"
Tristan asked.
"Lunch, oohhh no, my cake."
I run off I'm the direction of my home, but stop as I remember they were walking beside me.
"Get in the car, Sitara, no need to run."
When we arrived home, the table was already set, and my cake was out of the oven and iced. Mom looked at me from below her glasses, and I had her, and I'm sorry smile.
She just shakes her head and smiles as she walks over to greet the Alphas.
"Alpha Travis, Alpha Tristan, welcome to our home."
she stretches her hand for Tristan to shake, but he pulls her into a hug instead, and he does the same with dad.
"Would you stop bear huggin' our parents? Are you trying to break there bones."
Travis said, pulling them both in for a hug.
We gather around the table after tye greeting and sit to eat. Mom is doing what she loves by serving everyone. I offered to help buy, and she declined.
"So, Alphas, what's new, and how did the meeting go with the council?"
Dad asked.
"Just as we expected, they didn't help. So we have to think of other alternatives to hopefully bring peace to a war that we didn't start."
Travis said.
"Hmmm.. The council still holds a gender it seems."
Dad says.
"Please, I apologise for interrupting pack talk, but I would like to ask you both a question."
Mom has her serious face on.
They both stop eating.
"My daughter is an omega. She isn't a Betas daughter nor a lead warriors daughter she is adopted. Now I know that your family is one of the well-known ones and I would like to know if her status would be a problem.
see, my daughter has been through enough. from losing her eye to having no wolf, I don't want her going true the pain of later being rejected because she can't be accepted."
Mom says, and the atmosphere shifts from light and playful to choking.
"We already accepted her as our mate and Luna, and when the time is here for her to take her place as the mother of the pack, I am sure the pack will as well. The last thing we want is for Sitara to be hurt in any way at all."
Travis said.
"And your parents, what about them?"
"Tgey haven't come to terms with the situation at hand, and to be honest, I am not sure if they will. but that does not concern me as long as I'm happy and Sitara is happy along with my brother, that is all that matters."
Tristan said.
" Hmmm.. I understand, but I wish that you all could still sit with your parents and try to find the cause of their dislike for my daughter. "
"We will," Travis said.
"Right, who is up for some board games?"
Dad walks back into the room, holding a snake and ladder and a cheese board. I didn't even notice when he got up.
"We would like to play."
Travis said.
"Sitara ran upstairs and told Cleveland to come down for lunch. He has been asleep all morning."
Mom said.
"Cleveland?"
Tristan asked as he walked into the kitchen, holding some plates in his hand.
"Yeah, my cousin, the guy you saw me hug and drove off."
"You saw me?"
"Yeah, I saw you, I was gonna tell you he is my cousin, but I wanted to see if you would have asked."
"I'm sorry, I thought."
"I know what you thought, I'm not totally kind of a person, and why would I add a fourth person to a relationship that already has three."
He scratches his head and smiles.
"OK, I apologise for thinking that way of you."
"I know this is hard for you, and I know you are still holding on to the past, but you need to let it go before it messes up your future."
I pat his shoulder and give him a kiss on the cheek before running upstairs to Clevelands room to wake him.
"Mom says to coke down stairs for lunch and board games, dress nice, the Alohas are here."
"ohhh, your boyfriends came over."
He teased.
"Shut up."
I grabbed one of the pillows and hit him with it.
"Sitara."
He called out to me as I was about to leave the room.
"Did any of you notice the trail of blood last night? It was at the side of the Orphange."
"Blood, no, why?"
"I could have sworn I saw blood last night, but when I went back there early this morning, it was gone. Are all the children accounted for and the nurses."
"Yeah, everyone was accounted for, are yiu sure you saw blood?"
"I must have been mistaken. Come on, let's hurry downstairs before your fayer starts cheating and sneaking cards."
.He says, taking my hand and pulling me down the stairs with him.
"Brother in laws."
He shouts as we Exeter the living room, Travis and Tristan both stand and greet him with a warm hug.
Cleveland grabbed his plate and joined us in a game of snack and ladder.
After the game had ended, Travis and Tristan had to leave as there was something they needed to attend to. Mom told me to walk them out, and she would clean up, so that's what I did.
They both stood by there car holding two little gift bags in there hands, i couldn't help but feel a little weird about the gifts since it's the first time getting anything from anyone besides my parents and friends.
"These are for you. We hope you like them."
They both hand me the bags, and I take them, opening them up. In one bag, there is the upgraded iPhone 15, and another is a beautiful tennis bracelet filled with diamonds.
"Guys, these are two expensive. It's too much."
"When it comes to you, nothing is too expensive, so get used to it ok because there are going to be plenty more gifts in the future."
Travis says, taking the bracelet and putting it around my wrist.
"So, do you like your gifts?"
"I love them, I'm sorry I didn't get you guys anything."
"Having you is enough."
Tristan says, and I couldn't hold the smile away anymore.
"About Tommorow for Kelly's service, would you like for us to attend with you, or do you think you can go on your own?"
Travis asked.
"This would be my first funeral service I would be attending, so I think having you both there with me will make things easier, especially since my parents wouldn't be able to make it."
"OK, then we would pick you up at eight."
"Great, also could I ask you a question seeing that I don't really know how it works, I mean, Kyle has some clue, but I would like to know if it is really like that?"
"Go on."
"Kyle would like to be my Beta, and Mariah would like to be my Gamma they both asked, and I think it's a good idea."
"Where the Hama is concerned you can choose that person yourself, but as for the Beta, it has to be a fair fight and the strongest wins."
Travis says.
"We can't bend the rules for that. If he wants to be your Beya, then he would have to prove himself worthy. I'll tell you what I would ask Daniel if he could teach him the ins and outs, but that's all.
He would have to train himself and be able to win the match, making him the last man standing."
Tristan says.
I worry my lio a little, Kyle is my friend and I would want nothing more than to keep him by my side, but some of the warriors he may have to compete with are much bigger and much stronger.
"OK, I'll tell him."
"Alright, we have to get going. we have a meeting with tye Alpha from blueridge. We will call when we return."
."Another meeting?"
"Yeah, enjoy yiur freedom.now Luna because you would be hosting balls and tea partymies very soon."
Tristan says before kissing me on the forehead.
Travis leans in and kisses me on the cheek after. He then lows his lips to my ear, and my insides rush with fire at his words.
"I read yiyr book, why is such a quite girl like you reading such filty rhings."
He smiles and walks away.
