Chapter 79

“Whenever..” I trailed cautiously.

He grinned again, “You should tell him on your date tonight. He’d be really excited.”

I arched my brow, “I don’t know. Maybe.”

Monroe nodded, bouncing up and down. “Mmkay. Bye!” Then, he ran out of the room.

I stared after him before shaking my head, “He’s so creepy.”

Suddenly, Kars, Liv, Ali, Mabelle, and Aliyah barged into the room.

“We’re going to the spa!” Liv exclaimed

“I’m good.” I shook my head

Ali glared, “You’re going.”

What is up with her lately?

“What the hell? You can’t tell me what to do.” I scoffed

Sophia and Kara grabbed my biceps and dragged me out of the room.

“Help me! Ben! Justin! Jacob! Anybody!” I yelled as they pushed me out the front door, roughly, “I need shoes!”

“No, you don’t.” Kara grinned and opened the back door of the truck before shoving me in.

Ali buckled my seat belt and sat on my lap.

“Why?” I asked.

“So you can’t get away.” She said casually as she picked at her nails, “I need a manicure.”

“You need a psychologist.” I muttered

“Are you implying that I’m insane?” Ali glared.

“Maybe…maybe not.” I shrugged.

She huffed, “Jerk.”

“Very proud of it, too.” I smiled innocently as she growled.

Liv started the truck and backed out of the driveway.

“Why do we have to go to the spa?” I groaned, “Don’t they put huge, hot, hurtful rocks on your back? How is that relaxing or fun?”

“Shut up.” Ali snapped.

I stared at her in shock, “Say what?”

“Shut. Up.” She repeated slowly.

“Hell no! You better check yourself.” I glared.

We finally got to the spa and it was a painstakingly slow process of painful events. So much pulling and dragging and heat. But it was fun, not going to lie there.

And once again I got dressed and made-up

When we were done, we all walked to the receptionist desk. I needed air so I decided to walk outside ahead of everybody else.

Suddenly, a black limo pulled up in front of me. Talia and Carey hopped out of it, grabbed me and shoved me in, shutting the door as they walked away.

I reached for the door but heard it lock. What was up with everybody lately? I did the first thing that came to mind. I screamed for help.

After about three minutes of screaming, I got tired and stopped. Slouching into the seat, I tried to look at the driver but there was tinted glass between us.

I was definitely going to die. My baby too.

“Hey! Jackass! Let me out!” I screamed, trying to unlock the door.

The car jerked to a stop and the door flung open to reveal a smirking Ben.

“Hello.” He chuckled, grabbing my hand softly.

I pulled my hand out of his and shot him a cold glare, “I could’ve died.”

He rolled his eyes, “Whatever. Let’s get some ice cream.”

Looking around, I noticed we were at the ice cream parlor. “Don’t mind if I do!”

I tried running but the heels the girls forced me into made me fall. Luckily, dren caught me before I ate cement.

“Thanks.” I sniffed and walked in the parlor, head held high like I didn’t just almost fall.

Ben laughed behind me. Ignoring him, I went to the line. Unexpectedly, there was no line. Infact, there was nobody in the parlor. It was empty.

That's suspicious.

I ordered a vanilla ice cream and dren ordered mint or something. I started scarfing it down immediately as I hadn't eaten anything except the sandwiches all day.

On the last bite, I choked on something. There was something in my ice cream! I pulled it out of my mouth and shot a weird look at dren who was smiling. A paper. Who puts paper in ice creams?!

What is going on?

I set it on the table and stood up.

“Aren’t you going to open it?” dren asked nervously.

“Why would I? So it can choke me again?” I snapped, glaring at the paper.

“Just open it.” He sighed.

Shrugging, I picked it up and opened it. Surprise!!! It was blank.

I threw it on the floor, “Well, that was stupid.”

“T-there was nothing on it.” He stuttered, pulling his phone out.

“Nope.” I sat back down and eyed him warily.

He checked his phone and grinned, nodding to himself before slipping it back in his pocket. “Let’s go.”

I blinked and stood up confusedly. We walked out of the parlor and I was grabbed YET again.

I looked up and saw Monroe this time around. He pushed me into the car gently and slid in next to me. He shut the door and pulled his phone out.

“What’s going on?!” I screamed as the car started to move.

He didn’t even blink, just kept texting. I tried to peek at his phone but he moved it, still texting. I pouted and scowled at him, “I want to go home.”

“Too bad.” He retorted, smirking.

“I want to go home!” I bellowed in his ear.

He looked at me, “I came prepared. Domino put a spell on me. You can’t hurt me. Not even your annoying scream.”

I punched him in the face and he groaned, “Liar.”

Monroe cradled his cheek, “I was bluffing! You didn’t have to do that!”

“Yes, I did.” I insisted, nodding my head innocently.

He rolled his eyes, “I can’t feel the left side of my face.”

I laughed, “Accomplishment is great!” Monroe ignored that and resumed texting.

“Are you texting your secret boyfriend?” I whispered.

His head snapped to mine, “No! I like girls!”

“Defensive much?” I smirked.

He sighed deeply, “Are we almost there yet, driver dude?”

“Yes, Master Monroe.” An old raspy voice said.

It was creepy!

The car stopped and Monroe pulled me out of the car. I was grabbed again but this time I punched the person in the face.

“Cora!” A familiar voice yelled; Jacob.

“Oops?” I offered, smiling sheepishly.

He held his nose in one hand and grabbed my arm with the other, dragging me into our boarding school.

“Why are we here?” I frowned.

“Shut up! You don’t deserve answers.” He sounded like Squidward!

“You sound like Squidward from Spongebob SquarePants. I like it!” I beamed up at him.

He rolled his eyes and pulled me to the dormitory hall where I'd lived earlier.

When we got close to the dorm, purple petals were all around. I frowned, “Why are these here?”

Jacob shrugged, “You don’t deserve an answer to that question. You PUNCHED me in the FACE!”

“I was there.” I rolled my eyes.

“Stay here.” He ordered, walking into the room.

I stood in the hallway, looking around. Why the hell was I here and what was going on? Reaching for the door, a hand landed on mine aggressively. I looked up and saw Ben.

“Ah, ah, ah, don’t be a bad girl, Cora.” He tsked, smirking evilly.

I pulled my hand back, “Huh? Oh, I wasn’t doing anything BAD!”

“Suuuure.” He chuckled and leaned against the wall, pulling his phone out.

I pursed my lips, “What’s Stephen doing? He’s taking SO long!”

“You can go in now.” He shrugged and walked in, shutting it behind him.

“Well, thanks for holding the door open for me.” I muttered before opening the door.

Nobody was in there. But, flowers were everywhere. On my bed was a note. I picked it up, looking around. When I saw that it was deserted, I opened the note. Kaden’s neat handwriting was on it.

I love you, My Cora.

— Lily :-D🖤

O-kay, then! I set the note down and looked around. There was a note taped to the wall. It was lowkey kinda creepy, not going to lie. But I loved it.

I grabbed it and opened it,

You’re the best thing that ever happened to me.

— Lily

Nice. There was another note on the bathroom door. Sighing, I grabbed it.

The day you walked into my life, I knew that I had to make you mine.

— Your Lily

I smiled and set it down. A scream, my scream, sounded through the room as I turned around and saw Denver holding a bouquet of flowers out to me. Why would anyone just creep up on you like that?

“Hey, sexy accent.” I muttered, eyeing the flowers.

“Take them.” He smiled, bouncing up and down giddily.

I grabbed them, they were the same purple ones from the hallway.

“They’re so pretty.” I smiled and looked up, Denver was gone, his replacement was Kyle.

“Hey, Ky. What’s up?” I asked.

He smiled as he looked over at me, “You look beautiful, Bev.”

“Thank you.” I grinned and poked his arm playfully.

“Shall we?” He smiled and held his arm out.
