Chapter 63

“I’m sorry that I yelled at you. Really sorry.” I said looking at Kyle.

His face softened before hardening again, “How can you run so fast?”

“Um…I don’t really know but I have…powers.” I replied, frowning at the ground.

“Powers?” Kyle laughed in disbelief.

I nodded and looked up. While looking, I noticed Rick had a large scar on his arm which I hadn't noticed earlier.

“Come here, Rick.” I said, waving him over.

He hesitated before sighing and walking over to me. I grabbed his arm and put my hand over his cut. I pushed power into his arm and pulled away.

“There.” I smiled, looking up at him.

Rick was staring in shock at his arm and Ky had fear written all over his face. I frowned and fidgeted with my fingers.

“How’d you do that?” Rick asked with wide eyes.

“I’m part healer.” I said, looking at the ground.

“What’s your other powers?” He asked excitedly. My head snapped up to see him smiling at me.

“I have lots of them.” I answered with a wide smile.

“So cool!” He yelled, beaming at me.

I nodded and looked over to Kyle. He was looking at his bedspread, actually glaring at it.

“Ky?” I asked quietly.

“What?” He snapped.

I flinched, “You know what? Stay mad. I don’t give a fuck. Rick, hurry up.”

I stood up and started walking towards the door when Kyle yelled, “Wait!”

I turned around, “What?”

“I’m sorry.” He whispered. I smiled and ran over, jumping into his at and crushing him with my hug. He chuckled and hugged me back.

“I love you!” I gushed happily.

“Love you too.” He laughed and kissed my hair.

I laughed and got up, “Finish.”

“I hate packing!” Ky groaned, shoving a pair of jeans in his suitcase.

“Start liking it.” I said, walking out of their room.

I looked down the hall and saw Kaden holding Sylvester and Michelle by the neck, pushed against the wall.

“What happened?” I chuckled, standing by Kaden’s side.

“They don’t give up.” Kaden grumbled in annoyance. They looked like they were about to pass out any moment from now.

“Let ‘em go.” I laughed as I walked into the girls’ room.

He groaned and let them drop to the floor. I shook my head and laid down on Carey’s bed.

“Almost done?” I asked.

“Yup.” They sang simultaneously.

“Good.” I sighed, sitting up.

“How can you run so fast?” Talia asked with disbelief in her eyes.

“Tell you later.” I smiled. She nodded and put her blanket in her bag.

“I’m done.” She grinned.

“Me too!” Carey called.

“Cora! Cora! I’m dooooone!” Jimmy sang, running into the room. He jumped into my arms and buried his head into my neck.

“Jimmy, you’re 14 years old. You’re acting 5.” I chuckled, wrapping my arms around him.

“I’m just so happy! We’re finally leaving this place.” I felt him smile into my neck.

I kissed his cheek and stood up with him still in my arms.

“Damn! You’re strong!” Talia yelled in awe.

“I know.” I giggled and walked out into the hallway to see the boys harassing Kaden.

“What’s going on here?” I asked, setting Jimmy down.

“They think I have powers too.” Kaden chuckled.

“Well, you sorta do.” I said thoughtfully.

“Hmmm, yeah I guess I do.” He nodded

“What powers then?” Rick practically yelled at Kaden. Kaden looked at me and I shrugged.

“I’m a werewolf.”

Rick and Kyle looked over at me and I nodded. Jimmy was squealing and bouncing up and down.

“Oh my goodness! Werewolf? They exist?!” Jimmy yelled, jumping on Kaden’s back.

“Uhhh…” Kaden muttered with wide eyes. Now he knows why I'm as hyper as I am.

“Jimmy get off him. He can kill you!” Kyle yelled

Kaden frowned, “I don’t kill people.”

“Oh…my bad!” Ky grinned sheepishly.

“Yeah! Your bad!” Jimmy yelled, sticking his tongue out at Ty, “Don’t assume! Werewolves can be nice!” He added flicking Ky’s ear.

I taught him well.

“Jimmy!” Kyle scolded.

“Huh?” Jimmy asked innocently.

“Don’t do it again!”

“Do what?” Jimmy asked, genuinely confused.

“Ugh! Your short attention span will be the end of me!” Ky yelled, going back into his room.

I laughed because it’s true. Jimmy can’t focus on anything really. He always has too many things running through his head. Only God knows what he thinks about

“Hey, do you guys have vanilla cookies?” I asked suddenly.

“When do we ever have cookies? We never had them when you were here.” Talia pointed out the obvious.

“I had to stay hopeful.” I shrugged.

“How do you put up with this?” Rick asked Kaden.

I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms over my chest. “I’m an amazing person. That’s how.”

At that they all rolled their eyes, even Kaden.

“I hate you guys.” I glared.

They laughed and walked away, leaving me in the kitchen alone. Who does that?

Leaving me in the kitchen alone is big trouble.

“What did you do?!” Ky screamed in horror.

I looked up instantly, “I was looking for vanilla cookies?” I chuckled sheepishly.

“The kitchen is thrashed!” Rick yelled at me

I rolled my eyes, “I see that.”

“I told you we didn’t have any cookies!” Talia screeched.

“And I told you I had to stay hopeful.” I retorted, jumping off the counter.

“Seriously?! How do you deal with her?” Rick asked Kaden with wide eyes.

Kaden shook his head, “I really don’t know.”

I flounced up to him and kissed him hard on the lips, “Because you love me.”

He smiled at me lustfully, “I do. Still don’t know how I put up with you but, eh.” I grinned up at him before raiding the cabinets again.

“There. Are. No. Cookies. In. There.” Carey said slowly, “Can we leave already?” She asked.

I shrugged, “Sure. I have to handle Sylvester and Michelle first.”

“What’re you going to do?” Kaden asked cautiously.

“Make them forget about me ever being here.” I replied, walking out of the kitchen.

“Make them forget? Like, erase their memories?” Rick grinned.

“Kinda.” I said, tilting my head to the side slightly.

I bent down beside Michelle and Sylvester’s unconscious bodies. I put a hand on each of their foreheads before chanting a memory erasing spell quietly.

“Done.” I stood up.

“You erased their memory of you?” Ky frowned.

“Not all the way. Just me coming here today and taking you guys.” I shrugged, “Go get your bags and meet us outside.” I added, walking towards the door with Kaden trailing after me.

“So, it’s alright if they live with you for a while?” I asked, leaning against the car.

“It’s alright if they live with us for a while.” He corrected, leaning his body on mine and wrapping his arms around my waist.

I wrapped my arms around his neck, “Thank you.”

“No problem.” He smiled and leaned down to kiss me.

I leaned up so he wouldn’t have to bend down that much. His lips met mine and those familiar sparks ran through my body again, making me shiver.

I pressed my lips harder to his and nipped his bottom lip. He growled quietly and tightened his grip on my waist as he opened his mouth. I slid my tongue in and massaged his.

I caught his tongue between my teeth and smirked as he moaned into my mouth.

I let go of his tongue and kissed him hard.

“Ewwww!” A voice yelled.

I tried to ignore it but couldn’t. Groaning, I pulled back to glare at Kyle.

“I hate you.” I glared before getting out of Kaden’s arms and walking over to the passenger side

I threw the door open and grumpily got in. I could hear their laughter. Even Kaden’s. Who does that?! Traitor!

Kaden slid in and leaned over to me, “Don’t worry. I’d be more than happy to finish that later.”

I shivered and glared at him, “Don't test me, I will slice you.”

His lips twitched before he burst out in laughter, “Oh my goodness! Wow, Cora! Just, wow.”

“I’m serious.” I warned him as I blinked casually.

He stopped laughing and coughed as the others got in, “Um, let’s go home.”

“Good choice.” I smirked.

He started the car and backed out of the driveway, onto the street as he drove towards Kaden’s house.
