Determined to Meet the Twin
“I have decided to make you my wife. And I have prepared for our marriage,” said Stevan, staring closely at Alexandra’s face.
“But I don’t want to marry you. I don’t want the risk, and I don’t want the child in my womb to be in danger. Why does the king always act rashly? Doesn’t the king think about the impact that will occur?” Alexandra got up from the bed and chose to move away from the king.
“I have thought about it carefully, and I even have a solution to overcome the impact that might occur later. As long as you are my wife, I will make sure you are safe. From now on, you stay in this room until the situation is safe. I don’t want anyone to see your stomach that is starting to grow.” Stevan walked closer to Alexandra. His hand slowly touched the woman’s back.
“Don’t come near me. I want to be alone,” she said softly, reluctant to look at the king’s face.
“Okay. Alright. I will give you some time to be alone.” Stevan then left Alexandra’s room.
Alexandra took a deep breath. She couldn’t think straight this time. Everything that happened to her was too sudden and confused her.
In a room, precisely located in the king's room, Alessia was sitting on a chair while looking at the contents of the room. Many times she felt amazed by the design and antiques in the room. "It's impossible for me to be in the king's room. What has Alexandra done that she gets special treatment from the king?" she said to herself.
Her gaze was immediately diverted when she heard the sound of the door opening. She immediately stood up from her chair and immediately bowed her head in respect for the arrival of King Stevan.
"Tell me. What did you do while you were in the human world? Did you meet Alexandra's family?" asked Stevan without further ado. He walked over to Alessia, then sat on the chair. His gaze was fixed on Alessia's figure, whose face was so similar to Alexandra's.
Alessia lifted her face, daring herself to look at Stevan's face. She paused for a moment when she saw the handsome face that was able to fascinate her. "This is the first time I've seen a handsome face this perfect," she said to herself.
Stevan frowned as he watched Alessia, who was just silent while staring at him. “Why are you silent? Answer my question!” There was no gentle tone of voice from Stevan like he did with Alexandra.
Alessia gasped from her reverie. “Excuse me, what did the king ask me?”
Stevan sighed in annoyance. “What did you do when you were in the human world? Did you meet Alexandra’s family?”
“Yes, I met them,” Alessia answered honestly.
“What information did you get from them?” Stevan looked so enthusiastic.
“There was one thing that surprised me quite a bit and bothered me.” Alessia paused her speech.
“What is it?” Stevan asked.
“They asked me about pregnancy. Is it possible that Alexandra is pregnant?” Alessia tried to guess. Something was bothering her as she observed the change in the king’s facial expression.
“What was your answer when they asked that?” Stevan stared closely at Alessia’s face. He tried to restrain himself from blurting out about Alexandra’s pregnancy.
“I said that the fetus in my womb had died,” Alessia answered while holding her flat stomach. “At first I was shocked when I found out. However, I immediately found an excuse because I was actually not pregnant.”
Stevan just nodded his head. Reluctant to overreact. He didn’t want Alessia to be suspicious of him. Besides, he wanted to make sure of the woman’s purpose in coming to this palace. “Starting tomorrow, you will be my personal servant, replacing Alexandra.”
“Then, what about Alexandra? Where is she now?” Alessia was really curious and wanted to meet Alexandra in person.
“I will return her to her real world tonight,” Stevan lied.
“Can I meet her? I want to see my twin’s face,” Alessia said with sparkling eyes.
“No,” Stevan answered quickly. Alessia’s face looked disappointed when she received the king’s rejection. “Don’t do anything other than what I ordered. And don’t let anyone know about your identity. You must be able to adjust to this palace as if you were Alexandra. If you violate my orders, you will bear the consequences.” Stevan stood up from his seat.
Alessia took a step back. Her face was lowered, not daring to look at the king's face. "What should I do in this palace so that I don't act wrongly?" she said softly.
“You just need to follow my instructions. Other than that, be quiet.” After saying that, Stevan left the room.
Alessia was silent as she stared at the king’s back that was getting farther away. “I have to find Alexandra. I have to meet her somehow.” She started to walk out of the king’s room.
