Secret Revealed

Secret Revealed
“Where should I go?” Alessia said softly while looking around. She was now in a hallway that looked deserted, only lit by lamps along the way. Her footsteps continued to follow the fairly long hallway. There were no other rooms around, making her look confused. “Hopefully no one sees me, and hopefully I can find Alexandra.”

After successfully passing through the hallway, Alessia saw several palace maids wandering around. She immediately hid behind the wall. “Looks like I have to pretend to be Alexandra so I know where her room is.” After thinking of a way, she immediately tidied up her appearance and walked confidently towards several palace maids who were gathered.

“Hi, what are you doing?” Alessia asked with a sweet smile.

Several palace maids who were initially chatting suddenly fell silent. Their facial expressions looked uncomfortable with the arrival of Alessia, who they thought was Alexandra. Alessia frowned when she saw their expressions. “Do they not like Alexandra?” she said to herself.

The maids were silent and busy with their own interests, ignoring Alessia's presence. Suddenly, Alessia groaned in pain while holding her stomach. "What's wrong with you?" asked one of the maids.

"My stomach hurts so much," said Alessia softly while still holding her stomach.

"How could that be?" The maids looked panicked. Even though they didn't like Alexandra, they were afraid that something would happen to her because Alexandra was the king's favorite maid.

"Can I ask you to take me to my room?" said Alessia with a face that was groaning in pain.

The maids looked at each other. "Just take her instead of us getting punished by the king," whispered one of the maids to another.

Alessia was still wincing in pain while peeking at each of the maids, who seemed to be still discussing. "Hopefully they will take me to Alexandra's place," she said to herself, full of hope.

"Does your stomach still hurt?" said one of the maids. Alessia nodded her head while wincing in pain.

“We will escort you.” The two maids came forward and then helped hold Alessia’s arms while the others just watched.

Alessia was slowly carried to Alexandra’s room by the two maids. “It turns out my acting isn’t bad. I was able to trick them. Hopefully I can meet Alexandra,” she said to herself as she continued to walk slowly.

When she was in front of Alexandra’s room, the two maids suddenly stopped, making Alessia look confused. “What’s wrong?”

“It looks like the king is waiting for you inside,” said one of the maids.

“Really?” Alessia panicked. She didn’t want the king to know about her arrival in Alexandra’s room.

“It looks like we both have to go back. Can you walk inside by yourself?” The two maids looked at Alessia’s condition.

“I’m fine. You two go back. I can take care of myself,” said Alessia in a very low voice. The two maids immediately left.

Now Alessia was standing still in front of Alexandra’s room. She peeked through the gaps in the slightly open door. The shadows of the two people hugging were clearly visible in her sight. “Is that the king and Alexandra? They’re both hugging?” she said to herself. She cleared her vision. However, she couldn’t see Alexandra clearly. Unintentionally, her hand suddenly nudged the door, making it open slightly wider.

Stevan and Alexandra, who were hugging, immediately turned their heads towards the door. “Who are you?” Stevan asked with a sharp gaze.

“This is bad! I have to get out of here immediately.” Alessia immediately left and abandoned her intention to see Alexandra.

Stevan released his hug on Alexandra’s body, then stepped towards the door. His eyebrows knitted together when he realized the door was open wider than before. “What really happened? Who came here?” he muttered softly while searching for traces of scent around.

When he smelled the scent left around the door, his mind suddenly turned to Alessia. “Is it true that what I smell is Alessia’s body odor? If so, why did she come here?” Stevan felt something was wrong.

“I have to make sure where Alessia is now. If it’s true that she came here. That means she has violated my prohibition. And that’s a sign that the woman is truly dangerous and could thwart my plans.” Stevan immediately left Alexandra’s room.

Alexandra, who saw the king leave, looked confused. “Where did he go?”

Stevan was now in his room. He slowly walked to a secret room located in the corner. His suspicions became more certain that Alessia was in front of Alexandra's room when he saw the door was not closed tightly. "If I don't find you in the room, I will make sure you die by my hands, Alessia. I will not give mercy to anyone who dares to lie and play tricks behind my back." Stevan's steps were getting closer to Alessia's room.
