Chapter 3

The next day, Ronak calls Nandini and asks her to meet him in a coffee shop.

Nandini goes to a coffee shop. Ronak was already waiting for her.

"Where is Amaira?"Seeing Nandini alone, Ronak asked her.

"I have arranged a babysitter for her,'' Nandini replies.

"What do you want to talk about?", Nandini asked.

"Let's get married", Ronak said.

"What!!," Nandini asked shockingly.

"This way Amaira will have both her parents. I am giving you two options, either you marry me and share Amaira's custody with me or I will file a custody case against you. We both know I can give Amaira a comfortable life and a bright future. So you know what will be the court's decision.", Ronak said, manipulating Nandini.

Seeing Nandini silent, Ronak said, "I am giving you two days to think about it."

He went from there leaving Nandini in deep thoughts.

The next day, Nandini took leave today. She is sitting with Amaira.

Amaira sees that her mother is not giving her attention so she touches her mother's face and says,`` Mamma''.

" Yes, mumma's lifeline ", Nandini said looking towards her.

" Play", Amaira said pointing towards the barbie doll.

" Our Amaira wants to play with Mumma", Nandini asked in a baby voice.

Amaira nodded her head cutely. Nandini played with her for some time. Later Amaira slept, Nandini was in her thoughts thinking about Ronak's proposal. She knows that Ronak's family is very powerful. She can never win against them. Also if they get to know that Amaira is not her biological daughter then they will take Amaira away from her. They can give Amaira all the happiness she deserves. She has made her decision. She picked her mobile and called Ronak.

" Hello, Mr Malhotra", Nandini said.

" You have made the decision", he asked rudely.

" Yes, I am ready for this marriage", she said without any emotions.

" Good, you will meet my family along with Amaira tomorrow evening.", he said and cut the call without giving her any chance.

Nandini caressed Amaira's cheek and mumbled," only for you, my lifeline. Only for you".

The next day, Ronak tells his family about his decision to marry Nandini for Amaira.

They didn't want Ronak to marry that woman but they can't leave Amaira alone when that woman also. So they support Ronak in this decision.

In the evening, Ronak goes to Nandini's house to pick her and Amaira. He knocked on the door. Nandini opens the door with Amaira in her arms. Amaira was awake today.

Ronak entered the house. He was looking at Amaira smiling. Amaira was looking at him with curiosity. Seeing him smile, she also started smiling. Amaira extends her little arms towards Ronak, indicating him to pick her. Nandini was seeing all these things with amusement. She was shocked also because Amaira didn't like to be picked by Strangers.

" Princess wants to come to daddy?", Ronak asked her cutely while taking her from Nandini. Ronak was busy talking with Amaira.

Nandini cleared her throat. Ronak looked towards her. He was looking towards Amaira with warm eyes but now he was looking towards Nandini with his regular cold eyes.

" I will take Amaira's bag", Nandini said and went from there.

She returns after taking her bag. Ronak along with Amaira moved outside. Nandini locked her house. She took Amaira from him while sitting in the car. Ronak was not driving the car. Nandini was confused with it.

" Seat belt", Ronak said rudely.

" Sorry", Nandini said with embarrassment and tied her seat belt while carefully holding Amaira.

They reach Malhotra Mansion. Everyone inside the Malhotra Mansion was waiting for Amaira.

Ronak along with Nandini and Amaira entered the mansion.

Arnav, Khushi, and Raina were seeing Amaira emotionally.

"They are my parents and she is my sister Raina", he said introducing them.

" Hello", Nandini said, greeting them.

They just nodded their heads.

" Mom, dad, she is Nandini and here is our princess Amaira", Ronak said.

" Can I take her?", Khushi asked Nandini emotionally.

Nandini nodded her head while passing Amaira to Khushi.

" Amaira", Khushi whispered while hugging Amaira close to her.

Everyone spends some quality time with Amaira. They didn't talk much with Nandini except asking some questions related to Amaira. Nandini was feeling sad for Aryaman as well as for his family. She was feeling guilty also because of her sister.

They were about to leave the Malhotra Mansion. It was not easy for the Malhotra family to live away from Amaira now.

" We will get married in court after two days", Ronak said to Nandini as well as his family.

" Court marriage?", his mother asked, not liking the idea of court marriage.

" Ronak, Marriage is a sacred bond. It will happen with all rituals' ', his mother said.

" Okay, Mom. If you want we firstly will do court marriage and then in a temple with all rituals", Ronak said.

Later, he drops Nandini and Amaira at their house.

Two days later, Nandini reached court along with Amaira. She was wearing a beautiful red saree sent by Mrs Malhotra for her marriage. Since it was their ritual that the bride wears the dress gifted by the groom's family.

Ronak was already present there along with his family, Kabir and Abhimanyu.

Kabir and Abhimanyu sign on the place of witnesses. Ronak and Nandini also sign the marriage certificate.

After court marriage, they reach the near mandir. The priest was already present there. Nandini and Ronak took the seven rounds around a sacred fire. Ronak make her wear mangalsutra( auspicious thread)and apply sindoor (vermillion) on her forehead, making her his wife
