Chapter 4

Nandini entered the Malhotra house as a new bride along with Amaira. Malhotra welcomes her as a formality. Raina took Nandini towards Ronak's room. Amaira has slept being tired. Nandini makes Amaira sleep in the middle. She was thinking about Ronak and her marriage. How has her life changed completely?

After some time Ronak comes into the room. He sees that Amaira was sleeping in the middle while Nandini was sleeping close to her. He goes towards Amaira.

He kissed her on the forehead. He saw Nandini and thought," she looks so innocent while sleeping".

He changed his clothes and slept on the couch. The next day Nandini woke up around 6:00 am Amaira was still sleeping along with Ronak. Nandini was always an early riser. Nandini put pillows around Amaira. She goes towards the washroom to take a shower. After the shower, she goes to the dressing table to get ready. She wears her mangalsutra( auspicious thread) and fills her forehead with sindoor (vermillion). She was looking beautiful in her pink suit.

Nandini goes downstairs and enters the kitchen. A maid was already present there.

" Mam, you need something,'' the maid asked.

" Coffee", Nandini said.

" Wait, I will make it for you.", Maid said.

Nandini nodded her head.

Khushi entered the kitchen. She sees Nandini in the kitchen.

" Nandini,'' she called her.

" Yes, aunty", Nandini said while touching her feet to get blessings.

" Bless you", Khushi said.

" You have to make a dish as a ritual. You know how to cook?", She asked.

" Yes", Nandini said, nodding her head.

" Good. You will make breakfast today", Khushi said and told her about everyone's favourite dishes.

Nandini started making Breakfast for everyone. After making Breakfast, she goes towards her room to wake Amaira.

She entered her room. Ronak was not in the room. She can listen to the voices coming from the washroom. So Ronak was taking shower. Amaira also wakes up.

" Mumma,'' she said in a baby voice.

" My Amu woke up", Nandini said while tickling her.

Amaira was laughing along with Nandini.

" Amaira is hungry??", Nandini asked.

Amaira nodded her head cutely.

Nandini took Amaira downstairs. Khushi and Arnav were sitting in the living room while maids were arranging the table.

" Amaira princess, are you hungry?", Khushi asked her in a baby voice while taking her from Nandini.

Nandini goes towards the table and starts helping the maids in arranging breakfast.

Later everyone was having breakfast.

" Breakfast is really tasty, child", Arnav said while giving her a pair of gold bangles.

" But uncle", Nandini said with little hesitation.

" It's a ritual, child", Khushi said.

Nandini took care of the whole house along with Amaira. Everyone can see that Nandini is not like what they have thought of. She is a responsible woman and a good mother. She took care of Amaira. Amaira is also very attached to her. They are slowly accepting Nandini as their daughter-in-law. Nandini is also accepting them as her family. Finally, she is getting a mother like Khushi, a father like Arnav and a sister like Raina.

Ronak didn't talk much with Nandini. They were still strangers who lived in the same room. He spends most of his time in the office or with Amaira. Nandini admires him for his love for his family and Amaira.

Four months have passed since their marriage. Amaira has become his daddy's princess and his parent's life. Amaira has become very attached to Ronak.

One day, Nandini was sitting with Khushi in the living room while Amaira was sitting on the floor playing with her toys.

" Mumma, Amaira…. ice cream", Amaira said, licking her lips.

" No baby.. you will fall ill", Nandini said.

" No... ice cream", Amaira said with tears in her eyes.

" Amaira child doesn't cry. Do you want ice cream? We will tell your daddy to bring it", Khushi said.

" Yaay..", Amaira said, kissing her dad.

" But Mom"," nothing will happen, Nandini", Khushi said, cutting Nandini between.

Khushi called Ronak and told him to buy Amaira's ice cream while returning.

" Ronak is coming", Khushi informed Nandini.

Two hours have passed but still, Ronak has not returned. Everyone is worried for him. Kabir and Abhimanyu are trying to find him. Nandini is not feeling fine. She was feeling like something was going to happen. Amaira has slept while waiting for her papa.

Kabir and Abhimanyu come home.

" Any information?", Arnav asked them.

They shake their heads in No.

Suddenly Kabir gets a call from Ronak's Mobile.

" Ronak man, where are you?", Kabir said.

" What??"Kabir asked with shock. He cut the call.

" What happened Kabir?,'' Khushi asked.

Everyone was waiting for Kabir to say something.

" Kabir, say something?", Nandini said impatiently.

" Woh Ronak ….. he had met with an accident. A truck had hit his car badly. He is badly injured. We have to go to the city hospital", Kabir said.

" Nooo….", Khushi said while crying.

Nandini was shocked. She doesn't know what is happening. Listening to Ronak's accident she was feeling like dying.
