Chapter 144: Forever in Motion

Chapter 144: Forever in Motion
Travis’s POV

She was asleep in my arms.

Her body soft, warm, completely tangled with mine, her fingers still loosely resting on my chest, like she couldn’t bear to let go even in sleep.

And fuck—

I had never felt more at home than I did in this moment.

Because this was it.

This was what I had been missing my entire fucking life.

Not just the sex, not just the passion, not just the way she completely unraveled for me.

But this.

The quiet.

The peace.

The absolute certainty that she was mine, and I was hers, and there was nothing in the fucking world that could change that.

I brushed a hand through her hair, my fingers tracing lazy circles against the bare skin of her back, just feeling her.

And fuck—

I had never wanted anything more than I wanted forever with her.

She had no idea.

No idea how many times I had imagined her walking down an aisle toward me.

No idea how many times I had thought about waking up to her every morning, for the rest of my fucking life.

No idea how deep she had carved herself into me.

And now?

Now she never would.

Because I wasn’t wasting another fucking second without making her mine forever.

She stirred slightly, shifting against me, letting out a soft sigh that went straight to my fucking chest.

I tightened my hold on her, pressing a kiss to the top of her head.

She mumbled something, her voice muffled against my skin.

"Hmm?" I murmured.

"What time is it?"

I glanced at the clock. "Late."

"Mmm." She nuzzled closer, pressing her lips against my collarbone in a way that had my entire body reacting instantly.

And fuck—

I was never going to get enough of her.

"Go back to sleep, sweetheart," I whispered.

"Can’t."

"Why not?"

She tilted her head up, her eyes still heavy with sleep, but full of something else entirely.

"You’re thinking too loud."

I smirked. "That so?"

"Mmm." She yawned, stretching against me before settling back down, her fingers brushing over my heart. "What are you thinking about?"

I hesitated.

Because fuck—

I was thinking about a lot of things.

Thinking about her in a white dress.

Thinking about our house, our future, the family we’d build together.

Thinking about how I had spent so long avoiding anything real, and now I couldn’t fucking imagine a life without her.

But instead, I just said—

"You."

She huffed out a soft laugh, her lips curving against my skin. "I figured."

"You gonna make fun of me for it?"

"Absolutely."

I grinned, flipping her onto her back, caging her in with my arms. "Say that again, sweetheart."

She giggled, squirming underneath me, her hands pressing against my chest. "Travis—"

"That’s what I thought."

I kissed her.

Deep. Slow. Like I had all the time in the world.

Because fuck—

I did.

With her?

I had forever.
