Aryan shrugged. He had no intentions of making the decision on this. He isn't the one who was insulted. "It depends" Aryan gave a simple response. 
Dave was even more confused. "It depends? Depends on what?" He asked. 

"It depends on whether Odessa wants to forgive them or not. She is the one who was insulted not me. "
Dave was almost blown away with shock when he heard this. A matter that concerned the survival or death of an entire family, Aryan is going to let Odessa decide it?! What is really wrong with Aryan?! 

"Wait...you are going to let Odessa decide a matter that concerns the live and death of an entire family? Are you sure about this?" Dave asked. He and Aryan are actually close friends who have fought for thier lives together so when no one else was around, Dave could talk to Aryan normally. He did not have to be polite. 

"Yes. She's the one who was insulted. Have you ever thought of how hurt Odessa was when she was called a whore? No matter what she is, she is mine! I'm the only one who is allowed to refer to her as anything that I like! No one else is allowed to comment on my woman!" Aryan said domineeringly. 
Dave "......"
He was speechless. Especially when Aryan said that Odessa was hurt by Linda's words, he had to fight the urge to burst out laughing. How does Odessa look like someone's who's sad?! She isn't sad at all! She isn't even a bit hurt by Linda's words! 
Dave dared to bet that the only thing that Odessa was thinking about right now was how she was going to run away from Aryan! Where does Aryan find to confidence to say that Odessa was hurt?!.
Seeing how domineering Aryan was, Dave did not tell him what he really thought. He just let Aryan keep on decieving himself. 
"Alright then" this was the only thing that Dave could say. He did not dare to have any more opinions on what Aryan wanted to do with the Halls. .
"Oh right, set up a new desk in my office. And add a computer too. You can get a few romance novels that girls like to read" Aryan said. Since Odessa is coming to work for him, he wanted to make sure that she was "comfortable" so that she won't always be thinking about running away from all all the time. 
Dave was confused sir. "What?"
Aryan was annoyed that he had to repeat himself. "Didn't you hest what I said? Do I have to repeat myself to you?"
Dave shook his head. Of course he heard what he was told. However the question was ....why? 
"I....I did hear it sir. But...why?" Dave asked. 
"That's because Odessa will be coming to work for me as from tommorow onwards. She'll be my secretary. Just arrange the things that I told you for her" Aryan said. 
Dave was shocked when he heard that Odessa was coming here to work. He was even more shocked when he remembered the things that he was asked to prepare. Is Odessa coming here to work or to enjoy her life? What has really happened to Aryan? 
"Alright.... alright. Sir ..I'll handle it" Dave said. Anyway, it's not his company and it's not his money. Aryan can do Whatever that he wants with it. He doesn't have the right to say anything to him. 
"Oh right sir.... Odessa called someone today" Dave reported. He was monitoring Odessa phone so no matter what she did, no matter if it's going online or she's calling someone, Dave will always know about it. Immediately she called her friend, he got the notification. 
Dave thought that Odessa was definitely going to try to use this chance to escape but she didn't. She even told her friend that she wasn't kidnapped. Even though she did it probably because she was threatened by Aryan, at least it means that she cared about her friend and thar she won't try to escape as the expense of her own life and other people's lives. 
Odessa is a smart women who knows how to bow down to the situation. at least this is something that he had observed about her. 
Aryan was interested when he heard that Odessa had called someone. "Whom did she call?" Aryan asked. Giving her the phone was also like a testing for her. He wanted to see what Odessa will do now that she had the means to contact someone. 
"She called her best friend Blair. The both of them talked a lot but she did not tell her that she was kidnapped. She even convinced her that she left on her own because she wanted to calm down. She also told Blair that she now had a job and that she was enjoying staying here" Dave said. 
Aryan smiled when he heard the last part of the sentence. "She really said that? Odessa said that she's enjoying staying here?" Aryan asked.
Dave saw that Aryan was acting weird and he was almost frightened out of his senses but he still nodded his head. 
"Ha! That means Odessa has finally started to enjoy being my woman! She even said that she's enjoying her job! This means that she's not going to leave right!?" Aryan asked. It wasn't difficult to tell that he was very excited. 
"......."
Once again, Dave was speechless. He did not know what to say to Aryan. Can't he tell that that Odessa just said that to her friend because she doesn't want her friend to worry about her?!
"Sir....I think that Odessa didn't actually mean that she was enjoying living here. I think that she only said that because she didn't want her friend to get worried about her. I don't really think that it represents what she's actually thinking" Dave felt like he should give his good friend a gentle reminder or else he's going to end up getting happy for nothing at all in the end.
