Chapter 51
L I N D Y
Fear.
It’s an unpleasant and negative emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat.
Threat.
I can tell that Bailey has always had a statement of an intention to inflict pain, injury, damage, or other hostile action on someone in retribution for something done or not done.
I struggled in opening the door in all rooms inside the house since my hands were tied behind me too tight and I couldn’t move much as I want to. I tried my best to get away from it but the rope tied around my wrist was too tight.
Somebody help me please. I cried, helplessly.
In the back of my head, there was a voice that needed to be heard but then I know that no one would hear it. I had to save myself and I had to save my kids.
I have to get out from here. Those were the words that keeps repeating inside my head.
But how?
That question stuck in my head.
I was having a hard time with my hands tied behind me because I can only use my feet to move around. At first, it was so hard to twist doorknobs knowing that I was tied but I made use of my arms to open it. The rush through my veins felt like it’s pulsing so as the pounding inside my chest. I know I had to find a way to save myself and my twins from this lunatic who wants nothing else but to kill me just because she blames me. I can tell that she desires to kill us and it is something that I don’t want to happen.
To be honest, I have never felt this scared in my entire life.
I had to get away from here and save myself.
I had to save my twins.
“Ready or not here I come!!”
Her voice echoes through the entire second floor and it sent shiver down my entire body. Bailey sounded more hysterical and it was making me feel more worried about what could happen to me if I stay in this house longer.
I had to get out from here.
I had to set myself free and save my twins inside my belly.
I need to save my twins.
I have to save the three of us.
I tried to recall where I could have placed my phone but then I don’t remember anything after Bailey had slapped me with a chopping board. Although, I remember that my phone was on the kitchen counter but it wasn’t there when I woke up from passing out. She must have hidden it somewhere else when I was out. I need my phone to call for help.
My mind is still boggling about how Bailey entered the house because I would have been notified by the Eye Spy tab. I don’t remember getting any notification from it so how the hell did she get in? I made sure that the entire house’s doors and windows were locked but she still found a way to enter.
My heart was beating fast inside my chest as I begin to hide inside an empty dresser which was found inside an empty room where no one was using yet. In the back of my head, Bailey would think that I would hide inside my room but then I remembered that she doesn't know where I am sleeping inside this house so it is useless.
I prayed and cried inside this dresser where I was hiding. I prayed and pleaded that I would make it out alive. I have never been this scared and I wish I could have planned ahead in case such thing could happen but it is too late now.
All those times, she was the one who had motives in killing me but she looked so damn innocent. She had me fooled by her fake persona just to get under my skin and attack me when I am vulnerable. I didn’t know that Bailey would be the one to actually betray me because she’s been too nice to me when I was still sharing the dorm with her.
I understand where her anger was coming from but what I don’t understand is the fact that she is putting all that anger and vengeance at me. I know she wants to seek revenge for her older sister but she didn’t have to go this far. She must have had a hard time accepting that kind of loss and I wish if I knew, I would have consoled her and help her move on from that anger and frustration.
Sitting here in this dresser inside this tight dark room makes me realize that everyone who was involve in Harry’s reckless mistake needs to be blamed since everyone had the right to be reprimanded. Moreover, Jolene should have reminded herself that she was married back then and that she had a husband before she indulged in pleasure and tempt coming from Harry. At some point Bailey had to figure out where Jolene had made a mistake too because she wanted the relationship with Harry because they were both at fault.
I understand why she wants me dead and why she keeps asking herself why Jolene had died when she does not deserve to. It was not only Jolene’s fault and Harry’s but the blame should also be onto her husband who had the motive to hurt her after finding out she was pregnant by another man’s child.
Oh God, who am I kidding? All of them involved in such mess had their own faults and here I am being involved into their own mess which happened three years ago.
It’s too late.
It’s all too late now.
I cried inside the dresser as I hear doors slamming from outside where I was actually hiding. Holy shit, she is really just around and hearing her laugh maniacally makes me even more terrified. This kind of place in this kind of situation makes me feel like I am about to lose my mind just thinking about wanting to be saved.
I curled like a ball inside this dresser while my hands were still tied behind my back. I cried inwardly and continues praying to God that I would be able to save myself from this loon because I have two other lives inside me that needs to be born out of this world. Now is not the right time for me to die. I have to deliver these babies out and I have to see the world with them.
I pulled my head up and felt determined to get out of here, fight back and stop begging Bailey not to hurt me because she looks focused in having me dead. Now is not the time to be weak Lindy. Now is the right time for you to put your brave mask on and fight back for you, your babies and for Harry.
The slamming and screaming from outside makes me feel more tensed because I should have done something to save myself and now I am going to. I was too focused in hiding myself from Bailey when I should have had figured out a way top save myself like jumping out of the window. I should have had gotten some weapon to defend myself or maybe some scissors to cut these ropes up so I can free myself from being tied down
“Oh Lindy.” her voice was echoing and high pitched that it was almost too annoying.
Not scary, I reminded myself. Now is not the right time to be scared. Now is the right time to fight back, Lindsay.
I can hear her voice from outside the dresser and I know that she is inside the room where I am hiding. I know I need to save myself and fight back because if I cannot do it then Bailey would have the chance to stab me to death.
Being stabbed to death is truly terrifying. Those words frightened the hell out of me because I have always made sure that my twins were safe as soon as they were delivered.
“You don’t want me to search all around the house for you, right?” Her voice sounded too close and makes my heart skip a beat harder.
“Lindy!” She calls out to me again.
Be brave Lindy. I reminded myself.
I whimper inwardly as I tried to wiggle the fear inside my head. I wanted to be saved and I wish that someone knew where I was and what was happening to me because I needed my twins to be saved from death. But there is no one around who can save me, I have to save myself instead.
I wanted my twins to be saved from Bailey even if it means that it would harm me.
Even if it means my own demise.
“I know where you are hiding.” She calls out and pulls me out from my own thoughts.
Of course she would know where I am hiding, it was easy. She disabled me to move around since she tied my hands behind me and her plan is actually working out too fine.
“You know Lindy, I thought you were smarter.” She hollers.
I know she will find me.
I know she will.
“I mean you’re a smart student and even aced your exams!” She exclaims. “You could have done something more if you were not Harry Styles’ girlfriend.”
I tried to press my mouth as she continues to ramble, “You would have survived this night!” I flinched as soon as she swings the door open from where I was hiding.
She found me
She freaking found me!
She laughs triumphantly, “I found you!!” She screams happily, sounding like a complete crazy person, as soon as she grabs me from my neck and pulled me up from where I was sitting down.
“Let me go!!” I screamed as loud as I could.
“Oh Lindy, no one can save you now!” She pits.
Bailey forces me to stand on the floor as she drags me across the floor while I try to fight back. I know what she is going to do and just like what she told me, she would stab me to death. With all the strength that I had left in me, I tried to fight back by pushing myself hard against her and wiggled myself away as hard as I could.
“Let me go!” I screamed while my eyes kept its stare on the weapon that Bailey was holding. “Let go of me!! Help!! Somebody please help me!!” I screamed as loud as I could until I feel my voice turning hoarse.
“No one can hear you Lindy.” She laughs hysterically, and I hate how her words were affecting me. “You are going to die here.”
No. I cried inwardly.
I shake my head as I disagree with what she just said. “I’m not going to die here!” I screamed back.
Bailey laughs.
As soon as I see her about to stab me, I did everything I can to dodge it and headbutt her, just near her eyebrow, as strong as I can. She staggers and looked like she was hurt which was a good thing. I took my chance and leaned forward to her hand which was holding the knife and I bite as deep as I could on her wrist.
She groans and screams so loud as she continues to hit my back with her other hand while she was struggling in pain and I was too.
“Why you little bitch!!” She screams while grabbing a handful of my hair trying to pull my mouth away from her wrist.
I bite deeper and harder that I can feel her blood coming out of her skin and into my mouth but I didn’t let go until she drops the knife. Bailey screams for pain while she continues to hurt me on my back. Finally, she loses her grip on the knife and drops it. As soon as it landed on the carpeted floor, I kicked it away from her and spat out the blood from my mouth. Bailey still has the advantage because of my tied hands, she pushes me and I fell on the floor.
I groan in pain as I watch her run towards the knife which was near the doorway. I tried to get up to fight her back but then I was immobile as soon as I see Griffin standing outside the doorway with the knife on his hands.
Bailey was frozen, “Griffin…”
Griffin travelled his eyes at me and in a spark second, he looked angrier. “I told you not to hurt Lindy.” He spat.
Bailey glances at me, “You’re supposed to be in prison!! Why the hell are you out?!”
“To fucking kill you Bailey.” Griffin spat.
