Chapter 43 — I Want You

“Don’t you owe me an explanation? Hmm?”

Thea was confused. Why did she owe him an explanation? And for what?

The yacht was already sailing, and Red was in the operating room with the other person. It was just terrifying for her to see how Ace could change from gentle to weird so fast.

The grey puppy suddenly left the room, leaving Ace and Thea alone together. The room was dim for no reason, and her body was charged with electricity that shocked her to her core.

“I-I don’t know what you’re talking about,” she said without looking at him, afraid that she might lose all her strength.

“Oh, trust me, sweetheart, you know.” He stepped closer to Thea and casually closed the door behind her.

Crap! It was just them in the room, a husband and a wife? What did couples commonly do at this point?

“Perhaps you want me to help you remember?” With that question, she instantly shook her head and stepped back to the wall.

“Tristan just wants to have dinner with me, that's all. In fact, it didn’t happen because you let some of my workers celebrate with me.” She felt a little relieved knowing that she didn’t stutter, but the fact that her forehead and hands were sweaty, proved her nervousness.

“Don’t you remember that you have a husband? Did you know that while you were talking sweetly with that damn guy on the phone, I was listening and staring at your face?” She was dumbfounded and all she could hear was her chest, pounding crazily.

“Are y-you, jealous—"

“No!” he exclaimed.

“You shouldn’t be listening to my private conversations.” Thea was feeling more confident. How could he invade her privacy?

“I was just concerned about the prophecy. What if you got pregnant with his child? Don’t you know that will ruin everything? You need to—"

“Do you think I’m an easy woman?” she asked in a hard voice. She fought back tears, but they came anyway. And then the hatred in Ace’s eyes slowly vanished.

She thought there might be a chance for them. She realized that her feelings for him weren’t normal anymore. She was afraid her feelings would keep growing, but her fear turned to disappointment. Ace didn’t see her as his woman. She was just part of his experiment.

“Well, maybe you’re right! I was an easy woman because I agreed to be part of your stupid scheme. I don’t need you to tell me who I am!” she said.

Ace gulped before putting one of his arms around Thea's waist possessively. The urge to have her fired up inside him. Somehow her angry face was adorable to him.

“I was just trying to remind you,” he whispered near her ear. His hot minty breath touched her skin and made her body stiffen.

The room was dim and cold, but a sudden heat from their bodies warmed them. Thea wasn’t dumb. She knew Ace was turned on. Of course, that would be normal if they were a normal couple in love. Right! But he just wanted an heir.

“Sweetheart, why are you trembling?” he murmured as he sniffed her neck for some hidden fragrance. One of his hands groped her body and the other was on the wall.

“Are you craving me?” His chuckle made her blush. They were arguing about something, and now he was flirting with her. What was happening?

“You know, I joined your graduation with my friends just to see you with your satisfied smile. I just couldn’t miss it,” Ace said calmly. His eyes were closed as he pressed himself to her, feeling her warmth and hearing the beat of her chest.

“I-I…Thank you,” she stuttered, not because of what he said, but because of his intimate actions. She felt her knees trembling, and her breath becoming heavier as he began to kiss her collarbone softly.

He scooped Thea up and her legs wrapped around his solid waist while he kissed her neck passionately.

This was it! He was going to devour her again till dawn. She wanted to devour him too. He carried her to the bed and as soon as she felt the soft bed, she knew that he was unstoppable. With his burning eyes and wet lips, he said the words that made her hot with desire.

“I want you…”
