Chapter 42: The Cute Little Puppy Without a Name

Thea’s POV:

“We’re here, young madam.” I opened my eyes when I heard Red's gentle voice.

The last thing I remembered was getting in the car and Red telling me that I was going to an island with a weird yet familiar name. I didn’t know why Ace decided to go there. Maybe to celebrate?

Tsk! As if he cared about my graduation. Maybe he just wanted to hang out somewhere other than his home.

“Thank you!” I said after wiping my face just in case I was drooling. He nodded and opened the door for me. My eyes widened when I saw an adorable yacht floating in the sea.

It was really big and fancy. As I looked at the ocean, the hint of familiarity embraced me. I couldn’t remember when or how, but there was something deep inside of me that craved this place.

As I was about to look for someone, I saw the figure of a man whom I was not really happy to see. Who was it? Of course, it was Ace!

“I thought—”

“Thea…”

Dumbfounded and unable to speak, I realized Tristan and his awkward smile were there. He was still wearing his professional work clothes and I realized that most of my coworkers were present.

What the hell was happening?!

“W-what. What are you all doing here?” I whispered and looked behind me, then back to Tristan who winked at me.

“The boss told us to have some fun, and of course to join you in celebrating your graduation.” I unconsciously looked at Ace who was currently speaking to Red not far away.

“Good thing that the boss is not in a bad mood today. By the way, congratulations, sissy!” Kendra gave me a tight hug before releasing me.

I think there were around fifty people. I didn’t really know who everyone was, but they were familiar. They must from my department. Why would Ace do this? Did he really care?

We were happily celebrating at a nearby restaurant. I don’t know how long we spent singing our hearts out in a karaoke room, eating delicious food, and more.

Everyone was enjoying the celebration and when Ace suddenly announced to everyone that it was already eight, people started leaving until Tristan and Kendra were the only people who remained. It was such an awesome day for all of us, but pretty soon, Tristan and Kendra left too.

“Take care!” I said as I waved at them and watched them leave.

I sighed before I smiled. This was my first time celebrating after my parents died. And Ace had made it happen.

“Did you enjoy yourself?” Ace asked as he walked towards me.

“Hmm…” I answered with a nod. His dark eyes were so deep that it felt like I was drowning in them. His facial features were still hot as ever as well as his great physique.

“Great…then let’s have our moment.” I was speechless. He stopped in front of me. He looked perfect in his plain white shirt and black pants.

His voice was gentle, which wasn’t common before.

“To Agnus Island…”

We had boarded the yacht. It was just me, Ace, Red, and someone who was operating the yacht.

“Let’s go somewhere private, sweetheart…”

My heart started pumping so hard and loud that I thought my eardrums might burst.

“I’ll give you something,” he said with a glint of hidden emotion in his dark eyes. His thin sexy lips raised slightly into a small smile, and I followed him without a single word.

Something? Should I be happy about his gift, or will it be terrifying? What was happening to the most well-known CEO in the world and also the king of vampires?

“Arf! Arf! Arf!”

I was stunned for a moment, and I found myself inside a room.

“Arf! Arf!” A chubby grey puppy with a small face was barking. It was an adorable puppy in Ace’s arms. The face looked like a black hyena but cute and chubby. It was even wiggling its tale.

“He’s a boy and he’s really good. If you want to call him, just whistle or clap your hands, and he'll come to you,” he said before putting the puppy on the floor. I automatically clapped my hands and was overjoyed when he came to me.

As I was about to grab the little guy, Ace suddenly lifted my chin and looked at me with his seductive eyes and sharp features.

I was dumbfounded and did not know how to react. His sexy Adams apple moved before he licked his lower lip.

“Don’t you owe me an explanation? Hmm?”
