Melissa was lying in her own blood and looked like she was dead.

Mel please wake up Mel, Al shouted.

She immediately called for an ambulance.

Don’t worry your mommy is going to be okay she says to the kids.

Mike put your arm around your sister’s neck and hold her closer to you, Ally instructed the boy.

You know my name? Mike ask.

Yes I do Ally says.

My name is Ally, I’m your mom’s friend.

Mom told us about you aunty Al Cindy says.

That’s good sweetheart but now I need you guys to trust me okay Ally requested.

Yes Aunty Al we will trust you, but please don’t take us back to my father Cindy pleaded.

No darling I will never do that I promise Ally says.

Hold on Mel, Ally made a silent pray. Your kids need you and so do I.

Ally jumped up when she heard the sirens and made herself visible. She ran back to Melissa and the kids.

Hold on Mel they here to help you my friend. The two of you will be driving with me to the hospital okay Ally says to the kids.

The paramedics got out of the vehicle and placed Melissa on the stretcher after they had a look at her.

We need to get her to hospital mam. You can follow us to General Hospital one of the paramedics says.

Thank you sir we will do so she reply.

Ally opened the back door of her car and put the kids safely on the backseat and buckled them up.

Aunty Al will our Mommy be okay? Cindy ask crying.

Yes sweetheart she will be fine please don’t cry okay. Ally tried comforting Cindy.

The journey to the hospital was quiet in the car but Ally’s thoughts was all over.

Why did she wait so long before she decided to leave? Why didn’t you tell me what was happening at your house Mel?

Aunty Al, Cindy says.

Ally shook out of her thoughts.

Yes my angel she replies.

Will we go with you to your house? Cindy ask.

By now it was really clear that the kids were scared that they had to go back to their father.

I will never send you back to your dad, please don’t worry. You guys will stay with me for as long as you have to Ally reply.

Thank you aunty the twins replied at the same time.

Mike you very quiet, are you okay? Ally ask.

Yes aunty I’m just worried about my mom he replied, and she could hear the hurt in he’s voice.

Your mommy is strong, she’s going to be fine. She’s fighting hard to become better because she’s got two beautiful angels.

The twins giggled and Ally felt better. Now it was only for Melissa to proof that she was going to fight her way out of this.

They stopped at the hospital and quickly made their way inside.

Please have a seat in the waiting room a nurse requested. The doctor will come and see you soon.

Ally took the kids and made them comfortable on a couch in the waiting room.

I’m hungry Mike says.

Me too Cindy says.

Come let’s go and have something to eat. I’m also hungry Ally suggested.

They left for the cafeteria where they had a meal and then returned to the waiting room. Ally got restless and walked up and down in the passage while the kids were sleeping on the couch.
