Lenny's POV
Van won't let me go on the cruise with him. He's not getting much sleep. And he keeps avoiding Vincent's calls. It's like sometimes he's here but
he's not
I pushed the shopping cart to the dairy products. Van followed close behind me not really saying a word.
When Van got back to his house that day he came over Marion was never home. Vincent was only there when he was in bed sleeping or Sammie was over. So I told Van he could spend the night at my house whenever. But I never thought he would take up on the offer. So it's been three days since he's been over. Now I'm going to work for not just for myself but to also do his work.
Van... where did you go?
"I'm right here." he said hugging me close I blinked then blushed.
"This is why you shouldn't wander into crowds for on sale meat." he said and I blushed more.
"Sorry." I mumbled as he pulled away.
Have you noticed? Van is very huggy. I don't know why. I've notice that Van is a bit mysterious.
He pushed the cart to a line and then I paid for the groceries. He helped me carry them to the car then put them up when I got home.

"Eric this is invading!" I yelled glaring at him on the couch.
"Not if I have a good reason." he said standing up and I glared more.
Van was asleep in my bed. I left home to get Starbucks and boom I come back to find Eric watching TV on my couch.
"And what good reason is that?" I asked slanting my eyes.
"Trying again." he said.
"Huh?" I asked tilting my head.
"Winning his heart." he said and I glared.
"He is straight for the last time Eric. Straight as you." I said and he blinked.
"Wow, you have no chance then." he said and I glared more. "But seriously, you have your chance and your not doing shit." he said.
"He has just been heartbroken.... I don't need to make more problems in his life." I said looking down.
"Win who's heart?" a voice said and I felt like my spirit left my body. Van was standing on the last step drying his hair.
"Oh your up." I said laughing awkwardly as Eric smirked.
"Took a shower?" Eric asked and I glared at him.
"Yeah, I heard another person's voice down here so I decided to put clothes on." Van said making me blush.
Damn it Eric, why did you have to come.
"Well um sorry if we woke you." I said and Van smiled softly.
"You didn't." he said then headed to the kitchen.
"O-Oh I got you some coffee!" I said.
"Thanks Len!" he said and I smiled.
"Ahem, loser." Eric fake coughed and I glared at him as he smirked. "Just kidding Lenny. I guess I'll leave you two be but remember what I said." he said chuckling before leaving.
I blushed and locked the door behind him before going into the kitchen. Van was looking out the window above the sink.
"Van?" I said softly and he turned to me.
"Hm?" he asked.
"Are you okay?" I asked touching his shoulder and he glanced at my hand then looked at me.
"Uh huh." he said then looked back out the window. "Do you use your backyard?" he asked and I tilt my head to the side.
"Um, no why?" I asked and he looked at me smiling.
"Something we can do." he said before sipping his coffee.

Next thing I know I'm yelling at my tomatoes that won't grow while Van's are already sprouting.
"Patience is the key." he said laughing. "They said it's going to rain today so don't water them too much." he said and I nodded.
I went inside while he took care of the other vegetables. I went upstairs to take a shower. I heard a phone ringing. It was Van's phone. I bit my lip and answered it.
"Dad!" Vincent yelled feeling relieved.
"Uh no... it's Lenny." I said.
"Oh so he's okay? Good, but um.... do you know where mom went then?" he asked and my eyes widen.
She... she didn't even tell her son.
"Do you know about-" I started to ask.
"Mom and dad? Yeah, I found the divorce papers on the kitchen table." he said sighing.
"I'm sorry...." I said frowning.
"Just take care of dad okay.... and tell him I miss him, bye Lenny." he said before hanging up.
I frowned then took a shower to think. When I came out I got dressed and found Van on the couch watching TV.
"Van.... you need to talk to Vincent." I said crossing my arms and he glanced at me.
"I should... but I just.... I don't want him to worry about the divorce... or anything." he said and I sighed throwing his phone onto the couch.
"Call him and talk." I said then headed back upstairs.
Later that night I saw Van smiling while talking on the phone. I smiled softly.
"Okay, night son." he said then hung up.
"Sooo?" I said smiling.
"Things went great." he said beaming.
"That's great." I said smiling and he ran his fingers through his hair making me blush.
"It's this play I wanted to go to with the boys, do you want to come?" he asked and I blushed more then smiled brightly.
"Yes." I said and he smiled back.
Try again. When love doesn't work out once, try again. It's like a puzzle. Except you don't know what the picture is. Your just given pieces to put together. But at the end, you feel great when that puzzle is finished.... completed.
