Chapter 71 This is hard

Chapter 71 This is hard
Kelvin had headphones on, I guess they are to hear everything that goes on since he cannot see. We were left with these two men and they explained what we had to do.
"I'm not doing this," I declared.
"Me too," Brenda agreed.
"There's 6 of you so I'm going to group you into groups of 3. You three ladies are together and you three are together," The Trainer announced.
What on earth is this guy doing to me?
"Wow," Vusi commented (heard through the mic/speakers).
We were able to hear what they were saying even though they were far. There were mics connected here and speakers. It was Me, Brenda and Kendra in one group and Faith, Simi and Loveness in the other. What we had to do is climb up the rope and jump off to the other side. From there, we have to pass by big logs in order to reach a puzzle which we had to put together.
"Okay! Your time starts now!!" The Trainer yelled.
"Push me up," Brenda instructed.
We pushed her up and she held onto the rope then pulled me up and I had to pull Kendra up.
"The rope is cutting my hands!" Brenda cried out.
"Hold on," I urged.
I stepped onto her shoulders, mind you, Kendra was holding onto her leg and I jumped over. Kendra did the same and jumped over too.
"Climb up again so we can be able to pull you," I told Brenda.
She did so and we tried pulling her.
"You're so heavy!" Kendra exclaimed.
"My grandmother fed me. Let's go, they are getting ahead of us," Brenda joked/urged.
We ran to the fields where there we logs which we had to jump over or crawl under. These logs were in a field full of mud.
"This is disgusting! No!" Faith screamed.
"Jump over," Brenda ordered.
We weren't going to work as a team here, you were just on your own climbing logs and falling into the mud.
"Why are we being punished like this? Brenda and Shantel, why the fuck are you just standing there! Move!" Kendra yelled.
"She's fiesty," Brenda observed.
She started moving leaving me behind. I climbed to first log and jumped over. Second log, I had to crawl in the mud and get under it. Mind you, these were big tree logs so pushing them wasn't an option.
"We're almost there, come," Brenda encouraged.
"I can't, I'm stuck," I panicked.
My leg was stuck in the mud and I couldn't move. They came back for me and pushed it out. We were finally done with the logs and had to solve the puzzle.
We were ahead of the others, Loveness seemed to be struggling like I was.
"Okay, I'm not good at puzzles," I admitted.
"Me too," Kendra agreed.
"Me three, we just have to put pieces together. That should be easy," Brenda said.
"You have 5 minutes left," The Trainer announced.
The others were working on the puzzle already. We started working on it too and we were pretty much arguing the entire time.
"Shantel, just listen and put this one in. Kendra, it would be really appreciated if you focused," Brenda snapped.
"I'm tired," Kendra groaned.
"We all are," Brenda insisted.
They passed me the pieces and told me where to put them.
"And your time is up!!" The Trainer shouted.
"Damn it," Simi swore.
"Both teams have lost this challenge. You were not able to complete this task in time. Time management is a very important skill. Keep your head in the task and know you do not have much time," The Trainer scolded.
"The next task is very simple. You're about to get sweaty and dirty," Trainer 2 announced.
"More mud?" I asked.
"Yes, mam, and more water. You have to look for 15 ropes in the mud, 5 each. Pull them and go tie them on those poles; all together you have to pull up those big three truck wheels. Do you understand?" The Trainer explained.
We nodded and got into the mud, this one was more slimy and disgusting than the first one. This one even had mudd puddles and worms.
"I cannot find any rope," Kendra stated.
We got deep into the mud while just touching and looking for these ropes.
"I found one," I yelled.
"Me too, I think I'm holding two, come take one, Kendra, so we can pull and come back for the next one," Brenda directed.
What was tiring was that the poles were behind us, so we had to go back and come back.
"No! This is hard," I cried.
Brenda seemed like she was already crying. I was on the verge of crying too. This is too much. I saw Loveness screaming and throwing herself in the mud. We were all just struggling so much with this task.
"And he said it was simple!!" Faith shouted in frustration.
We tied the each of our first ropes and went back to find the others. I was on my third rope when it cut my nail. I just sat down and cried.
"I can't do this anymore," I sobbed.
"Yes you can. Tell me, why are you crying?" Kelvin's voice demanded (through the mic). It was Kelvin, I could hear his voice. Did it come from my t-shirt?
Argh, we had small mics and earphones connected to us.
"We have mics and earphones connected, I thought I was being losing my mind," I realized.
That made me cry more. I saw the others putting them on too.
"Shut the fuck up, Vusi," Kendra screamed.
She was pissed off. I guess her mic was connected to Vusi's, Brenda's connected to Mike. I guess that pissed her off.
"Kelvin," I called out.
"I asked you a question," Kelvin stated.
"I'm crying because it is all just getting too much for me. I'm not strong enough," I confessed.
"That is incorrect. Stop crying and do your task. There's no such thing as not being strong enough. You are stronger than you think, stop saying you can't do it and start saying you can," Kelvin instructed sternly.
I nodded and stood up then looked for the forth rope. Kendra had tied up all her ropes while Brenda and I were behind. She waited and we tied up the 5th one. Then we pulled together and the wheels were very heavy but we managed to pull up the first one. Kendra had just became so silent, it was pretty awkward now cause Brenda and I could see that she was upset and just doing this so effortlessly, I guess her anger is giving her more strength, she literally pulled up the second wheel on her own.
