Chapter 70 I'm angry at him
"I don't know," Faith replied.
"Oh, okay."
I got dressed, I was wondering how they knew we were here. I guess they're keeping tabs on us. I got dressed and went to the kitchen.
"Shantel, cook breakfast since you were the last to wake up," The Granny commanded.
"But Granny, you're being so harsh," Brenda protested.
"Who will marry her if she wakes up so late? I want all of you to get married," The Granny declared.
We laughed at her while I started cooking. She didn't even allow them to help me. She was happy when she had her breakfast, she was even singing.
"At least you didn't burn my house down," The Granny remarked.
"Is that some sort of compliment, Granny?" I asked.
"Don't push it," The Granny warned.
This woman is just something else, completely different from Brenda. Her phone rang and she ignored it.
"Grandma, your phone is ringing," Faith noted.
"If it's important that person will call again."
It did ring again and after three times she answered it.
"Who are you, calling me while I'm still eating?" The Granny demanded into the phone.
She kept on nodding as she spoke to the phone and she gave it to me.
"Hello," I answered.
"It's Mike, where is Kendra?" Mike asked.
"Hi, she's here," I confirmed.
"And Brenda?" Mike asked.
"Yes," I confirmed.
"Okay, you'll be taken home in an hour. You should all be ready," Mike instructed.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"Everyone is okay. We'll explain later. For now just get ready," Mike replied.
He ended the call and I told everyone to be ready. We sat down and watched tv with Granny as we waited.
There was a knock on the door and some guy came in.
"Good morning, I'm looking for Miss Shantel Leaster?" Q asked.
"Hi, Q," Simi greeted.
The guy laughed as he saw Simi and shook his head. I guess they know each other.
"I'm Shantel," I confirmed.
"I was told to come fetch you and your friends," Q stated.
"Let's go," I agreed.
I felt safe leaving with him since Simi knew him. We've been through a lot so I wouldn't just trust any guy.
"We're leaving in a taxi?" Loveness lamented.
"Yes," Q confirmed.
"Oh snap," Loveness groaned.
"Snob," Faith corrected.
We laughed and got into the car. We were taken to the apartment and the guys were there.
"Home sweet home," Simi announced.
My eyes wondered around and they landed on Kelvin. He was so chilled just enjoying his chocolate bar. I sat next to him and just kept quiet.
"Hello, ladies, want something to eat?" Vusi offered.
"Do we look starved to you?" Faith retorted.
"Eish," Vusi mumbled.
"Ohh baby, you don't have to be so harsh," Nelson tried to soothe.
"Excuse me? Heyy, you do not want to get on my bad books, you hear?" Faith snapped.
He whispered a very low sorry muffled up with a giggle.
"Aren't you going to say something?" I asked Kelvin.
"No," Kelvin replied dismissively.
They are all just pissing me off right now.
"So no one will explain?" Brenda demanded.
"See what you need to start working on is knowing how to use weapons. I heard only Shantel knows how to shoot but still, her aim is not really that good. It should be perfect but don't worry, we'll work on that," Kelvin lectured.
"What you just experienced is just nothing compared to what the real world is really like. Let's just say what you have just experienced was a little test," Vusi explained.
"Woah, wait a minute. So you're telling me that everything that went down was just a test?" Loveness questioned.
"Yes," Mike confirmed.
"The dead bodyguards?" I asked, challenging them.
"No one died," Leon stated.
"So it was all just a set up?" Loveness realized.
"Go get dressed, wear black or navy. We have a long day ahead of us," Kelvin commanded.
I felt angry. Most of all, I was confused and clueless but very angry.
"Am I the only one who is holding in a whole lot of anger?" Brenda asked.
"You're not alone, sister," Kendra corrected.
"Definitely not alone," I agreed.
Simi was too pissed off to even speak. It was written all over her face. I settled for black leggings, long sleeve shirt which belongs to Kelvin and his biker jacket. We went downstairs and they were waiting for us at the driveway.
"You look beautiful in my brother's clothes," Mike commented.
"She even smells like me, I have a feeling she just wants to be me," Kelvin joked.
"Whatever," I muttered.
As angry as I was, I couldn't keep a blind eye to the fact that my man was damn hot. It was very awkward right next to me, I could see how tempted Kendra was, she wanted to just grab Mike but she held herself together. I know my girl when she needs some and right now, she's in deep need. I held her hand and she laughed. This girl is just something else. Mike wasn't making things easier for her, he kept checking her out. At that time Brenda was having a conversation with Faith, not even paying attention to these two. If only Mike knew that he has been dumped by Kendra and Brenda knows about them.
"Let's get going," Leon urged.
"And why are we suddenly using taxis?" I asked.
"Your man owns taxis so you have to get used to using one," Kelvin revealed.
"My man, huh, well my man disappeared for a week," I retorted.
"And I know you missed him," Kelvin concluded.
"You will not leave me, you'll sit with me and be horny with me," Kendra whispered.
"You're just crazy," I whispered back.
"I know," Kendra confirmed.
We were on the road for about 3 hours. I didn't have any idea of where we were but it is out of Durban that's for sure. We were welcomed by two gentleman standing by the entrance. They shook hands with the guys and we exchanged greetings.
"What is this? A boot camp?" I asked.
"Sort off. Take off all jewellery, weaves and accessories. It's about to get muddy, change into these," Nelson instructed.
"Take off the heels, Loveness," Trish instructed.
Those are the first words she has uttered ever since we got home this morning. She seems to be far away in her own world. We changed into boots, camouflage shorts and green t-shirts.
"I feel like a soldier," Simi commented.
Trust Simi to say such.
"You have some training activities to go through today, ladies. This is the first task," Kelvin announced.
"We'll be watching and keeping you motivated," Leon said.
They sat down and really just watched.
