Chapter 137

Chapter 137
Sienna's pov

"What are you up to now? I'm not falling for it again!"

Whenever Elena acted like this, it meant she was plotting something against me.

After falling for her tricks so many times, I should have learned my lesson by now.

But Elena didn't seem to care about my attitude. She leaned in and whispered, "Alright, I'll tell you the truth quietly. You don't have any evidence, so no one will believe you even if you tell them."

I suddenly regretted not having my phone with me; otherwise, I could have tried to record her.

If only I could get Elena to admit to her actions and make it public.

I lowered my gaze and took a few steps back.

"Sorry, I won't believe your words."

She wanted to whisper to me, but I wanted her to speak loudly enough for everyone to hear.

Elena tilted her head and looked at me, clearly surprised. "So what if you listen? You don't want to attend the party anyway. Listen to my story to pass the time. Harrison specifically told me to keep you company."

"Elena, did you know Classic is in prison?" I changed the subject. "Victor and Classic , your biological parents, were sent there by Harrison himself. Don't you hate him for that? They are your parents, after all, and they weren't bad to you."

Victor was essentially a scumbag, treating anyone who could help him well. Elena was even older than me, which showed he didn't treat her as well as I thought.

But Classic , as Elena's mother, how could she not love her daughter?

"Not bad? Sienna , are you still that naive?"

Elena suddenly laughed mockingly, as if I had touched a sore spot. "Victor is only interested in profit. He doesn't care about anyone. Making me his illegitimate daughter—is that what you call 'not bad'? As for my mom, she might be pitiful, but what does that have to do with me? She gave birth to me and used me as a tool to get back at Victor. Did she ever consider my feelings?"

Her pain seemed genuine.

I followed her words and asked, "So, you hate them?"

"It doesn't matter. I'll use them if I can. Their mistakes have nothing to do with me. Harrison didn't do anything wrong, and he didn't involve me."

Elena stopped approaching me and sat back on the couch.

If it weren't for the grudges between us, she would be a pitiful person based on her background alone.

"What did my mother do wrong? And my grandmother? Why do you want them dead?"

I accepted that Elena hated me, but why harm the people close to me?

"Because of you."

Elena covered her forehead, no longer looking composed.

Her background is probably her eternal pain.

"I'll do anything to make you suffer. Since you care so much about your family, I'll make them die. Seeing you in pain makes me happy."

Rationality can lose control sometimes.

As long as I stayed calm, it wasn't hard to break Elena's heart.

"Of course, I won't kill anyone myself. Their weakness killed them. I just said a few harsh words. What does that have to do with me? Why blame me as the murderer?"

I deliberately raised my voice to argue, "Inducing someone to commit suicide is also murder."

"How can you be sure I induced them? In the end, it's their own weakness. The cold words I endured back then were much worse than what I said to them."

Elena didn't seem to be lying; it felt more like she was being honest after everything had settled.

I almost forgot we were still at the Blackwood Villa, where Harrison had arranged for us to meet.

Originally, I wanted to lead her into revealing the truth about using Adrian's life.

But that thought only lasted a moment.

Elena would never let me have it easy.

Her honesty was just to make me suffer more.

"What you're going through now is nothing. Sienna , if you had experienced what I did, you wouldn't be any kinder."

Her voice grew colder, and her once rosy face now showed a hint of malice.

"I want to make you suffer. I'll take everything you have."

Suddenly, she smirked. "By the way, there's something about Harrison you probably don't know. I'll tell you now."

This time, she leaned closer to me and whispered, "Harrison has always loved you. I just happened to find out he was looking for you, so I took your place without you knowing."

What did she mean?

I asked, "What are you talking about? I didn't know Harrison before."

She said she took my place?

I even thought we were both substitutes for Kaia.

"Sienna , you're really dumb. You need others to tell you everything."

I couldn't understand what she was saying.

But Elena had no reason to lie about this. She always vividly described Harrison 's love for her in front of me.

But now she said Harrison had always been looking for me?

I had never met him before!

"Harrison publicly claimed you went abroad, but you're at the Blackwood Villa. Is he protecting you?"

I asked the question I most wanted to ask.

Harrison arranged for us to meet today, probably wanting us to talk.

Maybe someone was watching everything.

"You already know, so why ask?"

Elena seemed to calm down and lowered her voice. "Even if he knows the bad things I've done, he still chooses to protect me. He loves me. You lost."

I no longer cared about winning or losing.

There was a fruit knife next to the fruit platter. I glanced at it and then looked away.

But Elena picked it up.

"After all this talk, do you have any more questions?"

I watched her remove the knife sheath and suddenly had a bad feeling.

"I have many questions. Will you answer them all?"

The knife blade reflected light, occasionally shining into my eyes.

I saw Elena grip the handle tightly and stab it toward her own chest!

Everything happened too quickly, but I instantly understood her intention.

I might not be able to stop her, and there was no time to grab anything to block her. I could only place my palm in front of her chest.

The tip of the knife pierced my palm. I didn't know if it had hurt her.

The pain almost made me faint.

"Sienna , your reaction has improved."

Elena's mouth twisted into a cruel smile. "Why stop me? If I really died, wouldn't that be what you wanted?"

She was exerting force, making me suffer.

"Don't think you can frame me!"

There were only the two of us in the villa. If something happened to Elena, wouldn't the suspicion fall on me?

If she really died, it would be a life for a life.

If she didn't die, wouldn't I be falsely accused again?

"You're smarter now, but you have no choice!"
