Chapter 131

Chapter 131
Sienna's pov

This couldn't even be called an affair anymore. The door to the private room was wide open, and anyone could walk in at any moment. They really weren't afraid of being seen by others.

What was Harrison thinking? He didn't even bother to close the door and was still willing.

Kaia lightly pressed her lips together and looked at Harrison beside her. "Harrison , we need to explain things to Mrs. Blackwood. I'm sorry for causing you trouble."

It seemed like she was the one who had no choice.

This scene was getting more and more interesting.

I looked at Harrison again, smirking. "Mr. Blackwood, go ahead. It's time I heard your true thoughts."

A familiar scene was playing out again.

Harrison had already explained his feelings towards Kaia to me, so I wasn't going to lose control now.

I wasn't exactly heartbroken; I was more interested in watching the drama unfold between the two of them.

"...I suddenly realized this scene feels familiar. Luna said you brought another woman home before, named Elena. Now... I guess I shouldn't have believed you."

Harrison could have spoken first.

But this time... even if it was just an act, I didn't want to be led by him anymore.

"No need to explain, I get it. Kaia is your true love, and I became the substitute for your two women. That's enough."

I turned and left directly, even Luna was shocked by my reaction.

"Sienna ..." Luna stomped her foot in anger and shouted at Harrison , "What's going on? What substitute? Harrison , you jerk! Explain yourself!"

I didn't look back, so I couldn't see Harrison 's expression.

I stepped into the elevator and hit the 'Close' button—just as Harrison emerged from the room.

His face was dark, and I didn't know what he said, but just as the elevator doors were about to close, he stopped them and squeezed inside.

"What are you doing?"

I was startled and almost broke character. "Go back. If you come with me now, how are you going to keep up appearances with Kaia?"

It wasn't until the elevator doors closed that Harrison spoke. "I was afraid you'd be angry."

His voice was muffled.

I almost laughed at his reaction. "Isn't it a bit late to worry about me being angry now? Haven't I been through enough with you? Now I'm just playing a role with you, what's there to be angry about?"

Harrison shook his head and pulled me into his arms. "But you are angry, and that's my fault."

Such a direct apology left me at a loss.

I tried to break free from his embrace. "What is this now? I heard you weren't afraid of me misunderstanding before."

If I stayed with him any longer, my act of pretending to have amnesia might be exposed.

I almost said what was really on my mind earlier.

I had seen how he treated Elena, and now everything felt too unreal.

He actually left Kaia behind and chased after me.

"You don't remember the past, so how do you know I wasn't afraid of you misunderstanding?"

Harrison smirked. "Back then, we had misunderstandings... It wasn't that I wasn't afraid of you misunderstanding, I had other thoughts. I'm sorry."

I hadn't anticipated Harrison apologizing; he had changed significantly.

Even when the elevator reached the first floor, I was still in disbelief.

Even if it was just an act, he chose to stay with me in the end?

"What thoughts? Not afraid of me misunderstanding, so you were deliberately trying to anger me?" I pretended to ponder, widening my eyes. "Using other women to anger me? Harrison , what were you thinking?"

Revenge against me.

Those reasons he repeated many times... just thinking about it felt absurd.

Harrison held my hand as we walked out of the elevator, chuckling softly, seemingly self-mocking. "I can't understand it either."

His reactions were all beyond my expectations.

It wasn't until we got into the car that I spoke. "Can I trust you?"

I was asking him, but also asking myself.

Harrison didn't respond immediately.

He rubbed my head. "You can completely trust my feelings for you."

I countered, "What about everything else? Not worth trusting?"

"Everything else, you trust me a lot. But my love for you, you don't trust."

I huffed heavily and looked out the window.

What else could I say?

He was the same, right?

Silence spread between us again.

Harrison dropped me off at home but didn't get out of the car.

"I need to go back to her now; I can't let her suspect me."

He explained in a deep voice, "I don't want you to doubt me anymore, so trust me. Let me handle the troubles that have nothing to do with you. Everything will be over soon."

He always recited the same lines—it was over, always over. What else could he possibly have said?

He had said this countless times two months ago.

When everything was over, he would tell me everything.

But now he still hadn't told me everything.

I didn't want to wait; I wanted to find the truth in my own way.

"Okay, I'll wait for you."

I forced a faint smile. "But I still hope you come home early. Tonight... I hope you can be by my side."

Harrison 's eyes darkened suddenly, a hint of disbelief flashing through them.

He nodded lightly and drove away. My smile quickly faded as I walked into the villa with a cold sneer.

Zach was sitting in the living room and stood up immediately when he saw me.

"Sienna ! Are you okay..."

His voice grew smaller.

I was speechless. "Why are you feeling guilty? Today's events have nothing to do with you."

Zach seemed afraid to look at me. "I should have stopped Harrison , shouldn't have let him fall for Kaia's tricks... She didn't do anything to Harrison , did she?"

This guy might not be here to watch over me but to stir up trouble.

"She did, did everything, and I saw it all."

Ignoring his shocked expression, I went straight upstairs, hearing Zach's muttering behind me.

"No way, Harrison could be raped by a woman..."

I stopped and turned around. "Do you still want Luna's contact information?"

"Yes!"

Zach's eyes instantly lit up, completely changing his guilty demeanor.

Sure enough, Zach was also a bad guy, just not as detestable as Harrison .

That night, after showering, I planned to sleep but found myself in Harrison 's room.

I stood at the door, hesitating to push it open.

Maybe subconsciously, I still wanted to reconcile with him.

Time could fade everything, the unforgivable hurt from before, now felt much lighter.

I was just that forgetful.

"Mrs. Blackwood, why are you standing at the door? Go in and rest."

Martha seemed unaware of anything unusual and opened the door for me.

"Mr. Blackwood probably won't come back tonight, you should sleep early."

Harrison wasn't coming back tonight, so staying in our old room wouldn't be a problem.

Entering the bedroom, I sat on the bed and suddenly saw a ring on the nightstand.

It was our wedding ring, the men's version.

So that photo was fake?

I picked up the ring and naturally put it on my right ring finger.

My own ring had long disappeared.
