Chapter 25 Epilogue

Onyx's POV

I smiled as I watched Alex and Manny spin around as leaves fell down. Alex giggled, smiling but eventually Manny fell down on his rump.

"Dizzy." Manny mumbled, rubbing his head as Alex smiled and helped him up.

I hummed smiling at them until fingers were snapped in my face. I looked to my left and saw Justin sigh softly. I smiled weakly.

"Sorry.... you were saying?" I asked and he shook his head.

"Just go with your family, I'll finish the rest of the work up." he said, putting the papers and files into his bag, making me frown.

"Are you sure? It's a lot to do. I'm really sorry, I'll pay close-" I began to say.

"Dada dada, looook." Manny said, rushing towards me and waved a leaf around.

I chuckled then glanced at Justin who only laughed smiling. I smiled softly then squatted down to Manny's eye level.

"Yes squirt?" I asked and he waved the leaf in my face. "What about it?" I asked furrowing my eyebrows.

"Manny!" Alex yelled, running into the house making me raise an eyebrow.

"Yes daddy?" Manny asked, turning to Alex.

"You didn't bring that lady bug in the house did you?" Alex asked, making my eyes wide as Justin chuckled.

"Talk to you later guys." Justin said heading out the door making me huff.

"Yes I did daddy but no lady bug on leaf." Manny said pouting.

"Oh great." I said mumbling and rubbed my face.

"Me sorry." Manny mumbled looking down.

"It's okay squirt." I said frowning and went to pick him up.

"Freeze!" Alex said, pointing at us making Manny and I blink. Alex walked over, looking like he was about to hit my back.

"No!" Manny squealed loudly making me jump and also Alex and soon I saw a ladybug fly around.

Manny cupped his hands putting them up in the air and the lady bug flew down into his hands. Manny grinned closing his hands but didn't smoosh them together. He pouted at us, more likely at Alex though.

"No kill buggy." Manny huffed and Alex nodded.

"I'm sorry baby." Alex said kissing his head then ruffled his hair making Manny giggle.

"Now outside with it." I said making Manny pout and Alex glare.

"Sorry." I said wrapping my arms around Alex's waist making him blush as I kissed his cheek.

"It's okay." Alex mumbled, blushing more as Manny giggled.

"Yuck." Manny said before running off outside with Alex and I following him.

Manny opened his hands up and the lady bug slowly flew into the air. Manny frowned looking up at it. I sat on the stairs next to him while Alex tried to make sure the lady bug didn't fly into the house.

"Come back another day." Manny whispered and ruffled his hair making him look at me. "Dada, me sad." he said, hugging me and I hugged back.

"We can visit granddad and granddaddy." I said rubbing his back as he sniffled.

"Yes and you can also have ice cream." Alex said, making Manny pull away from me smiling and wiping his eyes.

"Really?!" Manny asked as Alex smiled nodding.

"But you must eat dinner first." Alex said and Manny nodded before running into the house.

I stood up smiling and Alex entwined our fingers smiling. "We're amazing parents." I said making Alex laugh.

"Yes, yes indeed." Alex said closing the distance between us and I kissed him softly. He kissed back blushing and I pulled him closer.

CRASH!

We pulled away looking towards the house.

"Manny?" I called out.

"Oops." I heard him say and I shook my head.

"Guess we better go see what he broke." Alex said laughing as he pulled me into the house.

"Manny no!" I gasped at the frame that was broken into pieces on the ground.

"Me sorry." Manny said looking down as Alex just stared down at our wedding picture. Alex fell to the ground and started picking up the pieces of glass.

"Baby don't do that." I said, bending down and grabbed his hands.

"Daddy?" Manny whimpered, making me glance at him, frowning. "Is daddy upset with me....?" he asked, gulping and Alex started picking up glass again, making me sigh.

"Manny it's okay... daddy is upset right now but everything will be fine. Can you bring me the dustpan and broom?" I asked and Manny nodded before running into the kitchen.

"Stop." I said, grabbing his hands again, making him drop the glass.

"Bu-But that's all they gave me, was that frame for our wedding." Alex whimpered and I rubbed his back.

"Baby we can fix it okay." I said biting my lip as he covered his face.

"Daddy....?" Manny said making me turn around and I bit my lip hard.

"Manny can you get me a plastic baggy?" I asked and he nodded, laying the broom and dustpan against the wall before running back into the kitchen.

"Alex, baby." I said, making him look up at me. "Your parents.... I know, they weren't there..... they didn't support you. I know that all they sent was a picture frame which made your day even though they weren't there. I'm sorry it's broke but we can fix it. It won't be perfect but it can be fixed. Nothing is perfect." I said hugging him and he hugged back sniffling.

"Okay..." Alex mumbled, gripping my shirt.

"Here dada." I heard Manny say and I turned around getting the baggy from him smiling.

"Thanks squirt." I said and he nodded before looking at Alex.

"Daddy... me sorry." Manny said walking up to Alex and Alex smiled softly before hugging Manny before we knew it Alex started to cry. "I-I didn't mean to..." he said before crying as well with Alex and I hugged them both.

After a while of crying Alex was calling us to dinner. Manny was back to his normal self. Alex I'm not really sure. Alex smiled brightly at us as we walked into the kitchen and sat at the table. He can smile but behind it, he could still be crying.

"Thank you for the meal." Manny said, clapping his hands before digging in.

I glanced over at Alex who played with his food. He stared at it and just moved it around. I tapped him on the leg making him bounce and look up at me quickly.

"Sorry." Alex said smiling weakly and I huffed before pushing back from the table.

"Dada?" Manny said tilting his head.

"I'll be back." I said to him before picking up Alex.

"Onyx Darren Reed! Put me down!" Alex yelled as I swung him across my shoulder making him hit my back as Manny giggled.

I walked into the living room before dropping Alex gently on the couch. Alex sat up huffing and glared at me. I sat down next to him.

"Baby, I don't know how to help you." I said and his eyes widened. "I love you so much.... but I honestly don't know how to make you feel better. I just try the best I can. So if talking about it helps, then I'm all ears." I said using my hands to move my ears, smiling , making him giggle before he sighed, pulling his legs to his chests.

"It just still bothers me and-" Alex began to say but Manny ran in with the frame.

"Daddy daddy! I fix it!" Manny said handing the frame to Alex and Alex's eyes went wide and he looked up.

"How-" Alex started but Manny stopped him yet again.

"Smoothed it out with some bottle in dada's drawer and hot glue." Manny said, smiling proudly.

"That's great, it looks like it was never broken-wait hot glue?" Alex said, narrowing his eyes.

"Me sorrrry again." Manny said and crossed his arms huffing. "I fix it so no be sad?" he asked and Alex smiled brightly nodding, this time no pain.

"No I won't be sad." Alex said and Manny smiled before hugging him. Alex hugged back smiling before Manny pulled away running to the kitchen.

"Ice cream Ice cream, yummy yummy yummy." Manny sang, making Alex giggle.

"Hey baby.... you don't think he used our lube?" I asked, finally making Alex's eyes grow wide and his face bright red.

"Ma-Manny!" Alex yelled getting up after placing the frame on the table and running into the kitchen. I chuckled and glanced at the picture of Alex and I on our wedding day, making me smile to myself.
