“What... What happened?” When Cristofer spoke, he suddenly felt heartache. He frowned and covered his chest, continuing to ask, “What’s wrong with her?”
“Miss. Hudson is in danger now,” Peter told him about Estelle’s condition.
However, Cristofer didn’t hear what Peter had said at all because a painful scream interrupted him.
“Ahhhh! Cristofer!” Not far away, Gretchen, who had fallen to the ground, exclaimed while covering her ankle in pain.
Beside her stood a little boy who was holding an old football and at a loss.
“Mr. Hans? Mr. Hans?” Peter waited for a while but didn’t hear Cristofer’s reply, so he called Cristofer anxiously.
Cristofer said, “Gretchen got hurt. I have to go to see her first. You may deal with the affairs in the hospital for me first.”
“But Mr. Hans, Miss. Hudson...”
“She still doesn’t want to divorce, does she?”
“Mr. Hans, please listen to me. Miss Hudson may not live long. She is being rescued in the emergency room!” Peter said.
However, Gretchen cried even louder at this moment. “Cristofer, it hurts.”
“I’m going to see what’s going on with Gretchen first. Estelle is a cunning woman. She has lied to me many times. Don’t trust her easily. I’ll talk to you later,” Cristofer said and then directly hung up the phone.
After hanging up the phone, he ran to Gretchen and squatted down anxiously to check her injuries.

Cristofer asked softly, “Are you all right? What happened?”

When he turned around, he saw the little boy still standing there with tears in his eyes.
The boy then reached out his little hand and pulled the corner of Cristofer’s clothes.

Cristofer’s face was a little darkened. Since the boy had apologized, he just said, “Next time, be careful while playing football like this. It’s dangerous.”
“I see, sir. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry,” The boy said.
“That’s all right,” Cristofer said.
“Sir, are you taking this lady to the hospital? It will cost a lot of money to see a doctor. I still have some money. I’ll give all my money to you as compensation,” The little boy said as he took out some one-dollar bills and five-dollar bills that were folded neatly from his pocket. Then he raised his hand and handed them to Cristofer. “Here you are. That’s all I have.”
When Cristofer lowered his head, he noticed the cotton ball on the back of the boy’s hand and guessed that he had just had an injection. Then he saw that there were many other small spots caused by injections on the back of the boy’s hand.
“Where is your mother?” he asked.
“My mother works as a cleaner here. She doesn’t make much money. She spent all her money on curing me. A few days before, a kind-hearted lady had given me a lot of money, but it was still insufficient to cure me. This is all the money that I have now. Sir, I really didn’t hurt this lady. Cristofer smiled and said gently, “I see. Let’s go. I’ll take you to the hospital first.”

Gretchen snuggled up against Cristofer’s shoulder shyly and said. “Yes, my husband loves me very much.”
“You’re so lucky. Today a patient with advanced lung cancer about your age was sent to our hospital and almost died. Fortunately, she survived after being rescued. She is so pathetic. Alas, I heard that she just gave birth to a baby. But her husband didn’t even show up when she was in the emergency room,” The doctor said and sighed.
Gretchen seemed to realize something and asked, “How is she now?”

Cristofer then rubbed Gretchen’s nose with his finger and said, “Did you forget that you got hurt? Why are you still in the mood to care about others?”

At this moment, Cristofer’s phone rang again.
