Chapter 44
"Mate" He called and Guan looked up to see him smiling widely.
He has been been calling her 'mate' ever since yesterday and it didn't seem as if he was gonna stop calling her that any time from now. She smiled back at him with her white set of teeth showing off itself.
"You look beautiful" Zack added and Guan completely failed to hide the blush which plastered itself on her face. She immediately faced down and Zack smiled at her cuteness.

"Aaron, what about the findings I asked you to make?" Zack asked Aaron who nodded and spoke.
"Well, I found out that Xavier is coming back to the city tomorrow or so. Heard he has some appointments over here and would be spending weeks, if not a month" He reported and Zack clenched his jaw hard.

Aaron got out of the car along with Zack and both stopped at the front of the car, facing the werewolves directly.
"It will be such a great honour to finally see the great Zack Josh fall" One of them, who seemed to be the leader spoke up and Zack smiled.
"Very well then, gentlemen" He said, adjusting his suit.

Zack stared at the wolves as they stared amongst each other, probably waiting for who to go first. Zack chuckled and straightened up.
"Are you all scared on who to die first? Come on men, you are all men and shouldn't be acting like this. Come at me like real mean or might have to spare no one, well, because I have plans to leave one of you to report back to who sent you" He said as he tightened his fists, giving the wolves the 'come on' kind of look.
The wolves stared between themselves one more time and all dashed at Zack at once. They were up to twenty and as they all dashed at Zack Josh like a herd of zombies, the latter smirked and adjusted his sleeves.
Some went for Zack and others went for Aaron who did well to protect himself and knock down wolves as much as possible.
Zack tore through the heart of one of the wolves and when he plucked his heart out, he shoved it into the mouth of another who appeared behind him before punching his head off from its position.
"Arrgh!" Another werewolf roared as he aimed for Zack's head who only shifted back a little but at a fast speed, escaping the claw attack. He snapped off the wolf's right hand before smashing it on his head, blood splattering on both of their faces.
One of five wolves leapt at him but the latter punched him right on the face, knocking him out.
Zack's shot his arms to opposite sides beside him, digging his long sharp claws into the neck of two wolves who had came for him, ripping out their vocal cords without a single emotion on his face.
He looked around and saw that all the wolves down except for the one whose throat, Aaron was about to rip out.
"Don't," Zack instructed and Aaron halted immediately, letting go of the wolf who immediately tried to attack Aaron again but Zack appeared before him and snapped his two arms, earning a loud cry from the wolf.
"You are such a stubborn one," Zack smirked as he spoke. "Now tell me, who the hell sent you? Is it my father in law or some other random jealous enemy?" He asked.
"There are crescent wolves, from the crescent pack, my father's pack" Zack heard Guan's voice from behind and he turned to see her standing beside the car, arms crossed.
"I thought I told you to stay in the car?" Zack asked with a sigh.
Guan looked at the wolf who was breathing heavily with Zack's hand wrapped tightly around his neck.
Zack didn't think twice before snapping the wolf's neck and the the turned to Guan with a smile.
"I'm sorry if you're annoyed I killed your father's pack" He said and Guan rolled eyes.
"I'm not," She said and went back to car.
"Sassy," Zack chuckled then turned to Aaron.
"It's such a pity we won't be going to the venue together any longer. Take care of these bodies and meet us later" Zack said as he started walking away.
Aaron looked around the road and there was no sign of any car or motorcycle passing by.
"How am I going to leave here? There are literally no means of transportation here?" He asked Zack who only looked back at him before continuing to walk off.
"Make sure you arrive at the venue in less than an hour" He said simply before entering into the car.
"Drive" He told the driver who revved the back to life and drove off.
"I'm sorry," Zack said to Guan.
"I don't care about them. I never belonged to the crescent pack in the first place and I've never been acknowledged so I don't give a damn about them" She muttered and Zack let out a wide smile.
"Now that's more like you, I see you've been growing to accept who you are rather than waiting for the redemption of your sick family" He said.

The Ferrari F8 halted sharply in front of a building and Zack stepped out after the door was opened by the chauffeur. Aaron was supposed to do that but the poor dude is out there disposing of the bodies of dead wolves.
Zack stopped the chauffeur from opening the door for Guan and almost opened it himself but the latter opened it herself just before he could attempt to.
"I won't have you try to make me feel uncomfortable or have some stupid rumors spreading around again" She said as she started walking to the building.
"She is growing more and more brave these days" Zack said to himself with a smirk on his face as he also approached the building where the next scenes where to be shot.
