Chapter 43

"Miss Guan isn't coming down. Says she doesn't have the

appetite to eat anything, tried persuading her but she refused still" She reported with her arms crossed before her and her face facing the ground.

Zack nodded. "Alright, you can go" He said to her and she made a little bow before leaving the dining room.

"Seriously? Are you going to keep up with this? I already told you to cheer up and forget about the bitch you call a sister but here you are , seated, sulking like a kid. Are you really getting yourself stressed because of a sister who doesn't give a damn about you?"

Zack couldn't believe he had just said all that but he just couldn't hold it in, he had to just let it out all at once. He was already getting frustrated about the way Guan was sulking like a kid over what happened.

"Now will you come to the dining to table to eat with me, mate?" He asked as he got down from the bed and Guan froze for a while.

Hearing him say the word 'mate' and referring to her with it seemed weird but she wouldn't dare lie that she didn't like it.

NEXT DAY

It was another day for the next scene shooting. Zack and Guan had helped the latter in preparing for her scene and she was so confident in herself right now that she was going to get it all right.

Guan was just coming out from her room, all dressed up in a red gown which stopped just few inches to her knees, giving her the hot chick look. She used just a few make up. After all, different set of clothes are going to be made available for the scenes and she was still going to wear different make-ups.

She looked at herself in the mirror and smiled before taking her bag and walking out of the room. Immediately she closed the door to her room, the bumped into Zack who was also just coming out of his room.

He stared at her for a while and finally let out a deep smirk.

"Mate" He called and Guan looked up to see him smiling widely.

He has been been calling her 'mate' ever since yesterday and it didn't seem as if he was gonna stop calling her that any time from now. She smiled back at him with her white set of teeth showing off itself.

"You look beautiful" Zack added and Guan completely failed to hide the blush which plastered itself on her face. She immediately faced down and Zack smiled at her cuteness.

"Let's go," He said, reaching out his hand to hers. He took her small hand in his own and started walking down the stairs.

The maids greeted them while bowing down and Guan continued trying to hide the blush on her face while facing down.

The duo finally got out and met Aaron standing beside the Ferrari F8 which was parked just in front of them.

Zack opened the door for Guan to enter before going round the car to enter from the other side.

Aaron immediately opened the door to the other side for Zack and when the latter entered, he shut it close and entered from the front seat. The driver revved the car back to life and drove out of the compound.

"You're ready for this right? " Zack asked Guan as the car drove gently

"of course yeah. I was born ready" She smirked and Zack let out a wide smile.

"Now that's the sassy miss Guan I know" He said and Guan chuckled.

"Aaron, what about the findings I asked you to make?" Zack asked Aaron who nodded and spoke.

"Well, I found out that Xavier is coming back to the city tomorrow or so. Heard he has some appointments over here and would be spending weeks, if not a month" He reported and Zack clenched his jaw hard.

Guan didn't know what she was feeling, her heart literally leapt in joy when she heard Aaron speaking about the fact that Xavier is coming back to the city. It was now that she realised how deep she had missed him.

But why is the moon goddess torturing in this crazy way. Even if she had committed a sin, this is definitely not a way to punish her. Guan felt as if her heart had been divided between these two ruthless billionaires.

The moon goddess must have been crazy when she was doing the matchmaking. She had never seen a situation where a wolf is mated to two people, not leaving out the fact that they are both two different creatures. She was mated to an alpha wolf and then a vampire king, how crazier can that get?

Guan couldn't help but to remember the feeling she had about a war. Is Xavier and Zack going to get into a war or what? That would be very disastrous and Guan knew she wouldn't want that.

"... Guan, Guan!" Guan jolted back to reality and she turned to see Zack staring at her worriedly. She had paced out while thinking earlier and she didn't even hear when Zack was calling her.

"What's wrong with you? I've been calling your name for almost a minute now" Zack asked worriedly and shook her head in negativity.

"Nothing, " She answered.

"Zack stared at her worriedly and was about to speak when the car halted sharply.

Zack and Guan both looked up and behold, was a pack of werewolves before them. The road was a private one so no passers-by.

Aaron looked back at Zack who smirked immediately. "Looks like we've got company" He said and turned to Guan.

"Don't leave this car no matter what, okay?" He said to her and she nodded.

Aaron got out of the car along with Zack and both stopped at the front of the car, facing the werewolves directly.

"It will be such a great honour to finally see the great Zack Josh fall" One of them, who seemed to be the leader spoke up and Zack smiled.

"Very well then, gentlemen" He said, adjusting his suit.
