Chapter 92

Angelica sat in her car, parked within the estate compound, lost in thought.

She was waiting for Cristonio, who was still inside, preparing for their journey to the forest.

Their mission was to meet up with Alessandro.

Just as she was deep in thought, a knock on the window broke the silence.

Angelica turned to see Corenzo standing outside, looking at her with an intense gaze.

"I........." Corenzo started, but Angelica didn't respond.

She simply stared at him, her expression cold and unyielding.

Corenzo continued, "Why are you wasting your time searching for Alessandro? Why are you wasting your time being by his side? Gabriel will become the patriarch tomorrow, and once he does, anyone who doesn't support him will be sent out of the estate."

Angelica's expression didn't change, but Corenzo's words seemed to hang in the air.

"You should get out," Angelica said finally, her voice icy.

Just then, Cristonio opened the car door and got in.

Corenzo's eyes flicked to Cristonio before he turned and walked away.

Cristonio looked at Angelica, concern etched on his face.

"What did Corenzo want?" he asked.

Angelica replied, "He said Gabriel will become the patriarch tomorrow."

Cristonio's expression turned grim.

"We can't let that happen," he said.

"Let's focus on finding Alessandro in the forest. That's our priority right now."

"Do you think we'll find him?"Angelica asked

"Sure we would"Corenzo replied

Angelica sighed heavily before starting the car's engine and zooming out of the compound.

After driving for hours, Cristiano and Angelica finally arrived at the edge of the dense forest.

Tired but determined, they quickly began their search, hoping to find any sign of Alessandro.

Hours passed, and after what felt like an eternity, they agreed to check Hellcat Hut.

As they approached, their eyes widened in surprise when they saw Alessandro sitting on a bench outside the hut, holding a baby in his arms.

"Master!!" Angelica and Cristiano cried out in unison, rushing towards him.

Their faces lit up with joy at the sight of him, relief washing over them after such a long and exhausting search.

Alessandro looked up, a warm smile spreading across his face.

Cristiano embraced Alessandro tightly, while Angelica stared at them with a smile on her face.

"Where have you been master? We actually thought we've lost you"Cristiano said, sitting next to Alessandro on the bench.

"Hmm, I was kidnapped by Gabriel"Alessandro replied

Angelica and Cristiano's eyes widened in shock as they took in the information before them.

"What!!"They exclaimed

"He found out about my weakness and used it against me, he sent his guards to me to kill me but fortunately I overpowered them"Alessadro explained

"I'm glad you survived, Gabriel is a devil, I heard one of your trusted guards works for him"Angelica said

"Yeah, Luciano"Alessandro replied

"I was shocked Master, I never knew Luciano was evil"Cristiano said with a frown on his face.

"Trust nobody"Alessandro replied

"You're right"Angelica agreed

"Francesca is dead!"Alessandro dropped the boomshell

"What the fuck"Angelica yelled

"Oh no! Tell me that's not true"Cristiano said

"I lost her to that devil named Gabriel"Alessandro replied, his voice laced with pain and hatred

"I can't believe Gabriel killed his biological sister"Cristiano said.

As they spoke, Angelica gently took the baby from Alessandro, her eyes softening as she looked down at the child.

"She's... my twin sister son?" Angelica murmured in awe, her voice filled with tenderness.

The baby cooed, oblivious to the emotional moment, and Angelica couldn't help but smile as she cradled the child in her arms.

"Yes, he's the baby Stephanie gave birth to"Alessandro said

"He's cute"Cristiano replied

"I know right"Angelica said, smiling

"I which Stephanie could see how handsome our baby look like"Alessandro replied, biting his lower lip as he fought back his tears.

As they were caught up in their conversation, Hellcat appeared from inside the hut, her presence commanding yet inviting.

"Mom, it's nice meeting you again"Angelica said, smiling

"Same here dear"Hellcat replied

"Thanks for saving our master"Cristiano said

"You don't have to thank me, he's my son and I will do anything to keep him alive"Hellcat replied

"You're the best mom ever"Alessandro said, grinning.

"Why don't you all come in for breakfast?" Hellcat offered, gesturing toward the cozy interior of the hut.

"I’m sure you’ve had a long journey, and there's nothing like a warm meal to set the mood right."

With a grateful nod, they all made their way inside, eager to catch up and enjoy the peace of the moment, surrounded by those they trusted.

The cold, sterile atmosphere of the torture room felt oppressive, the air thick with a mix of old pain and new tension.

Stephanie’s limbs ached, still bound tightly to the chair, her hands raw from the ropes that had dug into her skin.

Sweat clung to her forehead, and despite the exhaustion weighing on her body, her mind was sharp, focused on the enigmatic statement Kalus had made earlier.

"How come you have a birthmark on your shoulder," Kalus said slowly, his words deliberate

"The same mark as mine?"

Kalus's words kept on echoing in her mind.

She had to know what he meant.

The cryptic words had hung in the air like a promise—or perhaps a threat.

"What did he mean by that? Why would I have the same birth mark with Kalus"She thought to herself.

“Kalus!” she called out, her voice cutting through the silence of the room.

Her words echoed, but there was no immediate response.

She twisted in her seat, the ropes creaking as she moved, her pulse quickening in both irritation and anxiety.

“What did you mean by that statement?”

She wasn’t going to let him leave without an answer.

She refused to be left in the dark, trapped in this maze of uncertainty.

But Kalus stood still in front of her his figure framed by the dim light spilling into the room from the hallway.

His expression was unreadable, but there was a certain coldness in his eyes that made her blood run cold.

He didn’t answer immediately.

Instead, he stood there, staring at her for a long moment, as if he was debating whether to respond or simply dismiss her.

“Kalus, what did you mean by that?” she repeated, her voice more forceful this time.

She was done with games.

She needed to understand.
