Chapter 159 Have You Seen The News?

Chapter 159 Have You Seen The News?
Cara woke up with a soft yawn, stretching her arms tiredly. She felt like she needed more sleep, probably the whole day would suffice, but tomorrow was her wedding and she planned to put Chris in his place once and for all today.

As expected, Romeo was already up. She was no longer surprised by how early he woke up in the mornings, after all, he was an early bird.

If there was one thing she could note down about Romeo, it would be that he was disciplined. Maybe because of his background or he was just naturally humble.

As much as she wished, she could not bring herself to get used to morning sicknesses. She wished the baby could be out of her already even though it was only the beginning for her.

She was not complaining, it was a great joy to be pregnant, but it was just as exhausting.

Standing in front of her floor to ceiling mirror, she wondered, 'how will it be when my gut is sticking out and my body feels so heavy?'

For a second, anxiety washed over her like a sudden downpour. But a sense of reassurance because the after wave of the downpour.

Romeo was by her side, an extraordinary man at that. She should not be too worried.

A knock on the open door frame snapped her out of her thought. She flinched slightly and turned towards the noise.

"Why do you look so startled?" Romeo asked with an arched brow.

"I..." She did not dare to tell him she was worried about pregnancy. It was a symptom was it not? Anxiety and depression. She decided to tag them as pregnancy symptoms.

Clearing her throat softly, she managed a smile, "good morning. I didn't see you there or hear you walk in."

"That's because I haven't walked in." He said, a smile stretched on his face. "I am still by the door."

With a frantic roll of her eyes, she chuckled softly. "Sure sure."

With a gentle laugh, Romeo walked into the room and wrapped his arms around his woman. "Good morning my angel."

A soft kiss was plastered on her lips before he pulled back. "You look tired, are you sure you still want to go ahead with your plans for today?" His thick brow arched slightly.

Sgd responded with a light giggle. "You have asked me that question a thousand and one times and my answer always remains the same. Yes, I am sure I want to go ahead with my plans for today. Why do you keep asking me that?"

"Because, my love, I will not stand by idle while you are doing something you don't want to do. I can easily take him to court instead of make you meet up with your crazy and obsessive ex husband.

"You are more valuable to me than you could ever imagine and your safety is all that matters to me." His voice had softened.

She stared into his eyes, mesmerized by how much love reflected through them. She had never felt so loved and important.

"Where are we going to live after our marriage?" She suddenly asked, tilting her head to the side a little. "Your parents house? Will I have to put my house on sale?"

Romeo let out a soft sigh as his lips spread into a smile. "Trying to change the topic, huh... Fine. You win. I can already tell that I can't talk you out of this. Just be careful."

Placing a kiss on her forehead, he started towards the door but turned around, "and no, we will not be living with my parents. At least not directly."

"Wait what?" She started after him. "How so?"

"Well you know my parents live in an estate, Sky Empire, belonging to the Armani, my parents directly. We'll be staying there but not the same house as my parents.

"Also, no, you don't have to sell this place. It's an asset of yours but you could consider putting it out for rental or letting your parents move in."

"My parents..." She thought for a second. It was actually not such a bad idea. They lived so far away that it was such a hassle to visit them and she wanted to see them as often as possible but she couldn't because it was so stressful.

If they lived near, then she could always visit them whenever she wanted.

"I'll talk to them about it."

With a smile on his perfect face, Romeo smiled and wrapped his fingers around hers. "Come on," his magical emerald eyes glowed with so much admiration. "Let's have breakfast."

She nodded her head and walked hand in hand with him.

Arriving in the living room, Romeo led her to the dining and sat her down, "sit here my lovely peach while I go serve your meal."

"Peach?" She asked with a soft giggle. "Why peach all of a sudden?"

"I don't even know, it just came to my mouth and I said it." Romeo responded with a light chuckle.

He walked towards the kitchen and picked out some plates to serve their meals on.

Cara's phone came to live as the screen lit up and began ringing. She reached for it and answered as she saw that it was her brother that was calling her.

"Hey, what's up?" She questioned, picking up a purple grape and throwing it in her mouth.

"Have you seen the news? What the hell is going on? Where did such terrible news come from?" The worry in his tone is evident.

Cara was confused. "Hold on, calm down." She tried to calm him down. "What's wrong?"

"Check the story online about you, it's everywhere on the news."

"Okay, you know what? I'll call you back. Don't worry." She immediately hung up and went online to check what her brother had said.

Romeo returned with their meals in his hand and dropped it on the table. "What's wrong?"

Scrolling through the screen of her phone, she felt her jaw drop. "What... The fck..."
