Chapter Thirty-Five

I turned around, to find Jaden looking at me.

I blushed.

I didn’t know what was in it for me, but I felt attached to him. I like being close to him, I feel safe whenever I’m with him, I feel comfortable whenever I’m with him. I feel complete when I’m with him. I couldn’t comprehend what was going on with my thoughts, but I leaned into him.

"Domino, are you still mad at me that I left you?"

I couldn't speak, his beauty was so striking that I found it illegal to even tear my eyes away from him. I didn’t think it was legal to be this handsome, so I just shook my head.

"I'm sorry, I want to apologize..."

"Are you still mad at me?" I said, finally finding my voice. "You didn't talk to me. I didn't know what I did wrong. I am sorry for whatever I did, I really didn't mean it. I didn't mean to make you mad. Why didn't you tell me? I would have fixed it all.”

“It will never happen again.” He assured.

“Promise?” I asked and he stuck out his pinky.

“Pinky promise.” I smiled, sticking mine out and we sealed it.

He leaned in closing the space between our lips. My stomach twisted when he brushed his lips against mine.

The sparks flew off of his lips and onto mine. My breath hitched in the middle of my throat when he held the back of my neck to bring our bodies closer.

Being this close to him felt exotic. It drove my wolf crazy being this close to her mate and knowing that I was enjoying this moment.

I felt that rush of emotion in my chest, and my heart raced faster every second. It was like losing myself but in a good way. It was like escaping the world for a few moments.

It was one of those perfect moments where you feel like you are the strongest and you care nothing about the world anymore.

The static came on and I jolted in surprise. I turned away blushing, I couldn’t let him see me right now. I quickly smoothened my dress as the speaker came on.

“Kindly fasten your seatbelts.”

We did as told, one of us was a little jumpier than the other.

"Mr. and Ms. Crispin, we have arrived. I hoped you enjoyed your flight. Have a nice day."

He held onto my hand to pull me up. I looked at him surprisingly.

"What-"

"Shh, just follow me." Jaden said, grinning at me.

He pulled me to the front door of the jet.

Everyone on board stood at a side, waving and bowing to us in respect. I quickly flashed them a smile and waved them goodbye.

"Jaden, seriously, where are we?" I asked, groaning a little.

We stood at the steps of the jet and I tried to look around to see if I could at least get a hint of where I am. He ignored me and pulled me to the SUV that was waiting for us. Just stepping out of the jet, the hot air hit me on the face. It made me realize how cool it was on the jet.

The doorman opened the car door and Jaden pushed me into the SUV. Thanks.

"Jaden." I said a little louder. I turned to look at him, seeing him relax in the SUV like he doesn't care about the world made me realize that he was no help.

The SUV started and I looked at just in time to see a big, fat sign that says.

"Welcome to NYC.”

I glared at Jaden, who was looking at me. He knew that I saw the sign and grinned.

"You're welcome."

"Well, I never asked you to bring me here, did I? And I am not even enjoying it yet.”

"Well, do you say 'thank you' to everything you like? No, right? You say it because someone did something kind for you. And trust me, you are going to enjoy it." Jaden said, smirking at his smartass reply and my expression.

I took a deep breath.

“Calm down, Domino.” Pandora tried to calm me down.

"How long are we going to stay here?" I asked Jaden.

"Maybe four days." he said.

"Four days?" I asked.

"Well, we are going to be traveling for about four days. We are only staying here for about..." He said, looking at his watch. "Four and a half hours."

"What are we going to be doing here?”

“If we are going to be traveling… where are our clothes?" I asked, my eyes widened.

Jaden sat up and cleared his throat.

"Well… I never really thought of it… I have an idea, we can go shopping here." He said, pulling out his card.

"Here, this is the card. Just use it for whatever you want." He held it out. I was so close to refusing it, but thinking about it, I didn’t want to wear the same outfit and underwear for days. That was completely disgusting.

I took the credit card and replied, "Thanks."

"See? I am prepared for everything that comes." he said, leaning back again.

I rolled my eyes as I looked out of the window.

"Excuse me, Mr. Crispin, there’s a mall upfront, would you like for me to make a stop there?" Tom, the driver asked.

“Yes please.” Jaden replied, still looking out of the window.

New York was beautiful and amazing. The streets were full of people. It was obviously a big city.

"Jaden, have you ever been here? You know, I don't want to get lost." I asked.

He looked at me. "Of course, I've been here plenty of times. I always travel here."

I nodded in relief and continued to look out of the window, until we pulled up to a shopping mall.

I got out of the car.

“Meet you back here in three hours." Jaden said to Tom. He grabbed my hand and pulled me into the mall. The little tingles ran down my spine.

Sometimes, I wondered if I was the only one that felt the sparks? Jaden often acted like he didn’t feel a thing.

And sometimes I wonder, does his stomach turn when I look at him, like he does to me?

I shook my head, trying to clear my thoughts. I noticed that some people were staring our way. It was a tad uncomfortable.

Jaden pulled me into the first store that he saw. I looked around, it was really bright inside. He grabbed a black turtleneck dress.

He held it to me and smirked. “Change into this…”

"What?!" I said, looking down at the dress. He guided me into a changing room.

Pandora giggled. I rolled my eyes.

“Let’s pick out some more.” He said and I agreed.

I walked into the changing room again and I dropped the clothes on the platter before picking up the first shirt.

I tried it on with the matching fitted skirt and it was nothing short of breathtaking, though the shirt was quite revealing.

“I’m sure you look hot, now would you come out and let me see?” Jaden said.

It was as though he could see through the door. I blushed as I walked out.

“Damn…” He bit his lower lip as he adjusted his stance on the plastic chair.

"We are hella buying that." he said, looking at me as he wolf-whistled. The lady next to him, I assume was one of the workers, was too busy staring at Jaden, to probably understand him, she just mindlessly nodded. Jaden, on the other hand, didn't notice she was shamelessly staring at him. I rolled my eyes.

I walked in and tried on the next one, it was a dress with slit and was even more revealing than the last. I felt really sexy in it.

I strutted out of the changing room and struck a pose for Jaden who applauded in return.

“You look hot!” He grinned like a Cheshire cat.

“It’s a bit revealing though.”

"It's only a little. It's barely anything." He tried to encourage me.

"A little? My whole back is revealed. And let me remind you, who is wearing this outfit?" I asked, smirking at my remark.

“You and only you ma’am.” He grinned.

I tried out the rest of the outfits and his reaction was equally priceless.

"Are we done, yet?" I asked as I changed into the black dress, just as he requested. I enjoyed seeing him look thirsty for me.

"Yea, we just have to pay." Jaden said.

"Thank the Lord." I murmured, "Even my stylist doesn’t take this long."

"Pardon?" Jaden asked, appearing next to me.

"Nothing, nothing at all.”

He paid and we were handed the bag, he collected and held onto it for me.

"Wait, aren't you going to buy some clothes too?" I asked.

"I am, right now." Jaden said, grabbing my hand and pulling me into a store that sells all men stuff.

"Sit here." Jaden said, plopping me into a seat as he went into the changing room to change.

I was starving.
