Chapter 83 83

Chapter 83 83
"He is such a good man, taking care of her like there is no one in the world." One of the nurses exhaled lightly, placing her hand underneath her chin while she watched Liam walked past the hallway with fresh napkins in his hands.

"Stop fantasizing about him and get around." Another one smacked her head and she gasped in pain, turning angrily.

"What? Are we even meant to work for a week? Considering the three million bonus given to the hospital for doing their best?" She hissed.

"Sorry, not sorry. But the bonus isn't adding to your salary no matter how much it is so just work." The other snapped.

"Good morning." Someone greeted from the counter and they quickly composed themselves, to stare at the handsome man with a dark aura. The flirty nurse immediately pressed her lips tightly together as she stared at him.

"Do you have any problems?" She asked slowly.

"I need Mr Jordans. Tell him I'll be waiting for him out there."

"What's your......name?" He had already gone outside before she could ask the question. She gave a disappointed look as she went to the VIP ward.

"Yeah." Liam replied on the call, his head turning when he heard the door open.

"Keep me updated." He said and quickly ended the call.

"Do you need something?" He asked the nurse, his brow raising up.

"Well.... someone is here looking for you. He said he'll wait for you outside." She pointed toward the door.

"Who is he?"

"I don't know. He didn't tell me his name."

Liam stood up, glancing at Alexa for a moment before he walked out of the place with the nurse.

He immediately strode downstairs not wanting to stay too long without anyone with Alexa. His brows tightened when he saw the familiar face.

"You have a lot of nerves to show up here." He smirked, pocketing his hands.

Sam walked to him, "I guess power is all it, right? You couldn't easily find me years ago but no, it seems easy for you." He said.

"Are you trying to get me to punch you in anger?" Liam asked coldly.

"If you will. I'll accept it."

Liam didn't waste time before sending a sharp blow to his stomach. Sam had not expected the movement and he coughed, staggering backwards as the pain hit him hardly.

"Shit. You punch well." He gasped, gulping down nothing as he shook his head.

"Get out from here. I don't want to see your face." Liam ordered.

"I came here to apologize. I won't leave till I do that."

Liam tilted his head, "Apologize? What makes you think you'd forgiven?" He asked.

"Not to use this as a way to escape but, maybe you've done enough. All Stella did was love you. She is in a psychiatrist now and our company is barely managing." Sam said.

"You are clearly using it as a way to escape." Liam scoffed lightly, "I don't care if Stella loves me or not...Sam. But there's one line she should never have crossed from the beginning, that is, messing with Alexa. She would get what she wanted for what she did and I know you know that."

"I haven't even thought about a punishment for you."

"I'm sorry, Liam. But at that time, I guess I just couldn't watch my sister get hurt."

"She left me first! Don't I have a right to be happy after what she did? Stella left the country to get married outside and after being broken, she returned? I would be in my daft side of my mind to give a shit about her when I have Alexa." Liam spat.

"Say what you must and do it. But after my mother died, the only person I've ever loved to protect was Stella. You have Alexa. Do whatever you can to protect the person you love and I'll do what I can to." He said.

"The only way to protect Stella is by letting her heal mentally." Liam said.

"And that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to dedicate my time to helping her but I wanted to foolish first so I know there won't be any further attacks." He said seriously. Liam stared at him for a long time without a word.

"One last punch would be enough." A second hadn't passed when he punched Sam again, the second time.

"Shit!" Sam groaned in more pain.

"Don't ever try to threaten me into leaving Alexa again. It wouldn't work." Liam warned and turned to leave.

"What are you guys talking about?" Cassidy's voice brought them to a still and her eyes moved to Sam whose face was neutral. He had been planning to tell her so he wasn't totally shocked about her expression. He had practiced a million times for this.

"You know Sam? Stella's brother?"

Double shock. He was Stella's brother?

"Daddy!!!!" The kids who were beside Cassidy suddenly rushed to Liam who hugged them tight and fondled with their hairs. Seeing the stretch of silence between Cassidy and Sam, he immediately picked the twins and left.

"You....who are you really? And what was Liam talking about? Who threatened who?" She stepped towards him.

"I did. Five years ago, I threatened Liam to leave Alexa. I stalked her, knew everything about her and scared him into leaving her if he wanted to protect her life."

"Why....why would do that?" She couldn't wrap it all around her head.

"Because Stella is my younger sister." He replied sharply.

"You and Stella....you are really siblings? You guys did..." Cassidy scoffed, her eyes glassy as she stepped backwards, "bad things just for your happiness." She muttered.

"I guess." He replied without blinking. His heart was clenched tightly. He couldn't breath as he saw her eyes turn red with anger.

"You guess? Are you crazy, Sam. You destroyed five years worth of Alexa's and the kids lives! Alexa is in this predicament because your sister ran a truck over her car. Are you crazy!?" She screamed out her anger and gritted her teeth hardly.

"I must have been a fool for thinking I could love you. I don't want to ever see you again." She scoffed in disgust and walked away immediately.

Same gulped, releasing a breath as she left. His hands clenched tightly at his side. It was for the better. She should just leave him. He would never be good enough for her.
