Chapter 62 62
"She'll be fine." Cassidy said, trying to calm Louisa down but the lady wasn't having it.
"I at least have to get some food to her." She said as she covered the three steps takeaway she had prepared.
"I'll take it to her. These kids need someone who can be with them, I don't think I can do the job. Please." Cassidy said and Louisa let out a deep breath.
"Just take care of my baby." She muttered resignatedly.
Cassidy nodded as she left the house, Doreen had already called her with Alexandra's message for her mother. Don't let her come to the prison.
Knowing how Louisa could be, it was easier to let her just stay at home and take care of the kids.
"Taxi!" She hailed down a cab which swiftly sped past her without waiting. Another car stooped in front of her, a black sleek Mercedes Benz.
It was Sam.
"Hop in." He tilted his head and she released a sigh as she hopped into the car.
"I could have stayed there for forever." She muttered as she fixed her seatbelt.
"Where's your car?" Sam asked as he started the ride.
"I forgot to take it. My brain sparked like crazy when I heard Alexa was in the station. I still can't think straight." She confessed and Sam glanced at her through the over head mirror.
"How much do you love Alexa?"
"On the scale of 1-100?" She asked and he nodded, "One thousand." She swiftly replied and he glanced at her again. She smiled.
"Alexandra had been there for me a lot of times and I'm glad I was also there for her during her weakest times. After she came to start a new life where I was I had fallen for this standard lady. She might look broken but she is actually strong. She was pregnant at the time."
Sam's fingers tightened on the steering as she said the words. If he knew she was pregnant....
"Even Liam, the father of the kids didn't know. But Alexa was there. For herself, for me, for her kids. It was a lot but she manged it perfectly well. She worked a lot of menial jobs to take care of them from the first few months while I opened a salon there. I advised her to go into the designing world and she did. Now guess who the no 1 designer and hairstylist are? Alexa and this girl sitting right here." Tears slipped down her eyes and she cleaned it immediately.
"She doesn't deserve to go through this, does she?" She glanced at Sam but he was having a totally hard time keeping his emotions in check. His jaw was tightly clenched together, a strain on his forehead.
"She's such a fair soul. Why does bad things kep happening to her?" She muttered.
The car came to a stop, somewhere near the station and Sam glanced at her hardly, "I won't be able to escort you in." He said and she nodded, opening the car door to get off.
"Cassidy." He suddenly called.
"How much do you forgive on a scale of 1- 100?" He asked and she blinked.
"90. If it's done to me. But if it's Alexa, there's not a single chance." She replied and his teeth gritted against each other as he watched her close the door and leave.
He licked his lips, knowing how much pickle this would put him in, but knowing this method of attack, there'd be no one except Stella. With that, he revved his car and sped off.
"It is a perfect time to show your help and all that? So when I come out from jail, I'd love you again!?" She hissed loudly and Liam sighed, holding the iron bars between them.
"Alexandra, that is not it. You didn't do this and I know that." He said..
"So what?" She shot, her eyes sharp and hard, "Your girlfriend frames me for something I didn't do, putting my reputation and my company in risks. My name is all over the news. My brand is going to go down, Liam. Can't you see it?"
"I can see it!" He shot, his teeth chattering against each other and Alexa's eyes widened, he was screaming at her now. Surely, ut didn't take long for his true claws to come out.
"I can see it, Alexandra. I can see how sideways you are going, how painful it is for you. I can feel it." He said with emphasis, "And that is why I have to help. With every in me, I'm getting you out of this place. And you need to work with me, so you can save your brand." He licked his lips slowly, staring right at her eyes.
"Please, Alexandra." He begged, his eyes totally sincere, "Let me help you." He muttered.
Alexa fought hard to swallow the bitter lump in her throat but it only helped in making her eyes water more. She looked at him slowly and with all of her trust which she could muster this time around, she muttered,
"Fine then. Help me out of here." She said and he nodded, giving her hand light squeeze. Something that always scored in reassuring her. He did that everytime he knew she was in a pickle but this time around, his own hands were shaking and his eyes seemed to turn bloody red.
"I will, Alexandra and I'll make sure every hand behind this suffers." He said. She Gabe him a reassuring nod and he smiled, walking out of the place.
Alexandra gulped down nothing, staring at his back till he dissappeared and finally she collapsed on the floor, resting her back on the wall as tears slowly escaped her eyes.
"Alexandra...." Cassidy's soft voice made her raise her head and she immediately wiped her tears.
"Cassidy." She called slowly.
"Is this why you didn't wat your mom to come?" Cassidy asked, her voice breaking.
"I guess. Seeing her face would make me cry even more."
"She made you food." Her voice broke more as she tried to remove the food from the bag she brought but Alexa stretched her hand through the iron bars, holding her hands tight.
Tears immediately rushed out of her eyes and she let out small sobs.
"Don't worry, Cassidy. I'm getting out of here."
"You have to. The kids needs you." Cassidy counter replies and Alexa smiled.
"And when I do..."
"We are going to crush those motherfvckers together. They got nothing on us, do they?" Cassidy asked.
"No, of course not." Alexandra shook her head.
