Hiding in Plain Sight

Detective Lauren James has always trusted her instincts, but when she discovers that supernatural beings are manipulating Chicago's justice system, everyone thinks she's lost her mind. Given one week to prove her "delusions" or face psychiatric evaluation, Lauren turns to the only person who believes her; her partner, Detective Alex Henderson, whose unwavering support feels like a lifeline in her darkest hour. But as they chase evidence that always slips away at the last moment, Lauren doesn't realize that Alex is who she is investigating, and Alex's ancient bloodline requires a human sacrifice under the full moon to renew his fading powers. And she's already been chosen.
