Celebration

The time flew by as they played the game challenging each other along the way and forcing each other to be better.

Concentration only broken by the sound of a helicopter arrival.

"He is here!", Charlotte announced as she grabbed Nate's hand in excitement.

Standing up she pulled Nate directly out of his chair and pulled him through the house toward the backyard.

Meeting the guys in the backyard, they all watched as the helicopter sat down. Her Father exited the chopper and headed toward the waiting welcome.

Once he had cleared the blades, Charlotte released Nate's hand and ran full speed to her Father.

Jumping into his arms he spun her around as if she were still a little girl. Placing her back on her feet she wrapped her arm around his and began the walk back to the house.

Her excitement evident in her bouncy walk as she talked a mile a minute filling her Father in on the game she had been playing and how well Nate had played. She advised of how fun the game had become due to having the competition.

Jeh smiled down at his daughter watching her animated face as she described the game to him with gusto.

Reaching the guys, they all made a small bow, "Sir."

"At ease guys, you know we are all family here.", Jeh said as he patted Bull on the back. Reaching into his jacket he pulled out paperwork and handed it to Bull. "This is updated with the newest information you provided today. Once signed, it is done. All has been taken care of. The school information has already been updated per your request as well as a new Student ID that will be awaiting you in the guards office upon your return."

Bull smiled with pride as he puffed out his chest in happiness.

Jeh felt pure joy for Bull. Bull had never asked for anything for himself in all the many years he had known him.

"We have lunch all ready for everyone.", Seth said while trying not to look too excited.

"We can head straight there.", Grayson followed up.

Alan walking behind them all smiled as he knew what would be waiting inside the room. Bull would definitely be surprised.

Leading the way, Grayson and Seth nodded to the security they had placed at the door. They opened the doors revealing a fully decorated dining room.

IT'S A BOY!!! could be seen on balloons, banners, glasses, table centerpieces, and napkins.

Bull beamed with happiness as a tear made its way down his cheek.

Charlotte did not understand as she was not a part of the discussion nor the planning.

Confused she looked at her Father whom stood by watching Bull with Nate.

Turning to Nate, Bull motioned him to come forward. Placing the paperwork on the table, he handed a pen to Nate.

Nate's eyes welled up with tears as he stepped forward and began reading the paperwork. His new name written out on the paper, Nate could not believe it as he looked up at Bull for confirmation.

Signing his name to the paperwork, Nate dropped the pen and hugged Bull. Bull hugged him right back.

Bull then held Nate out to the side and placed his arm around his shoulders as they both wiped the tears from their faces, "I would like to introduce everyone to my new Son. This is Nate Bull Lockhorn."

Axel immediately ran up and hugged Nate and Bull at the same time. The other guys followed suit and soon there was a big circle consisting of all of them together including Charlotte and Jeh.

Once they all made their way to the table, lunch began being served. They all put their heads down and ate as usual. No talking as they were efficient with the task before them.

Alan got up from the table and went into the kitchen. Coming out with a white cake with fruit on top, he placed it in front of Nate. "Welcome to the family officially.", he said as he ruffled Nate's hair.

Each person then pulled a gift out and placed it in front of Nate.

The surprise on his face could be seen as he had not expected any of this.

"Open them!", Charlotte said happily.

Opening Bull's first, "A ring with Bull's family crest in Nate's exact size."

Nate gasped in shock, looking up at Bull.

"There is a tracker inserted into it. Now that I have a Son, I want to be sure I know where he is.", Bull said seriously. "Others need to know who your family is as well. No one will mess with my boy."

The others held in the laughter watching the interaction knowing that Bull meant every word.

"Open mine next!", Axel anxiously said.

Nate opened the larger present to find a brand new laptop.

"This is all set up for school. Everything you need is on there.", Axel said proudly. "If you need anything else on there, just tell the eye in the sky.", he finished with a wink.

"Yeah....yeah...yeah...my turn. Stop hogging him.", Grayson stated.

Pushing his present to Nate, the excitement in Grayson's face could be seen. Nate opened the box and through the tissue paper pulled out a 50's era leather jacket.

Grayson nodded his head feeling like his gift was most definitely the best of them all.

"Who's hogging him now!", Seth broke in. Pushing his gift to Nate, he waited for Nate to open the gift.

Inside the box a gold necklace with a jade pendant lay against the black velvet inside. The jade had ancient symbols carved into it that had been filled with gold accenting the details.

"This is an amulet that will protect you. Do not remove it ever. Now that I am an Uncle, I must protect my Nephew.", Seth said honestly.

Alan stepped forward, "I am next."

Opening the giftbox he found a brand new gun with ammo. The Taran Tactical SIG-Sauer MPX Carbine fitted with a Trijicon MRO sight. In the color of black, the level of this weapon is of the highest quality. The excitement of all in attendance grew expeditiously upon the unveiling of the weapon. All were impressed completely. Alan most definitely won this round.

Once the excitement died down, Jeh stood up and handed a small box to Nate.

Opening the box he found a black card in the bottom of the box. Jeh could see the confusion on his face and knew the boy must have never seen one.

"This card has no limit. If you find anything you like, feel free to use it. It will also be an all access pass to get into anywhere you would like to enter. Be sure to speak with your Father if you need further details or have any questions this does not answer for you. Welcome to the family, Son."

Rising from her seat, Charlotte crossed the room and took Nate's hand pulling him to stand. She hugged him tightly without saying anything.

He looked down at her with tenderness, "Thank you."

"But I did not get you a present.", she questioned.

"Thank you for being there for me when I needed a friend.", he said softly.

Smiling up at him she stepped back while making tiny claps with her hands and smiling showing all of her teeth.

He laughed, "Yes, it is time for cake."

They all laughed thinking how cute it was that he knew exactly what she wanted.
