Theodore Wilson

LUCIAN leans on the wall. He wanted to march to her, grab her hand, and take her away from the guy she was talking to, but he couldn’t. He doesn’t have the right to do it.

He listened to their conversation that felt like forever, but even as time passed the glee in her voice never changed. When he heard the guy invite her to go to a different venue, he instantly felt a pit in his stomach. There was a voice shouting in his head.

“Say no!”

“Say no!”

“Please, say no!” But to his disappointment, she said yes.

He couldn’t take it anymore, and with a heavy heart, he left.

“Let me call my cousin first. He might get worried.” She commented.

Theo grinned, “Sure, I’m texting my client now.” He replied.

She frowns as her calls can’t reach Xavier. “I think my cousin turned off his phone or his battery is dead.” She remarks.

“Do you want to go back to the mixer?” He suggested.

She nods.

Shortly, both of them walked to the VVIP room. Theo stood in the bar area while Latton looked for Xavier at one of the tables. She found him immediately and told him about Theo. Xavier smiled in approval, she was about to go back to Theo when suddenly she saw a familiar face in the crowd, in an usher's uniform.

“I know that guy!” She yelled internally and soon remembered how she woke up next to that person a week ago. “That’s the guy at Lucian’s home.”

She moves close to him and sees his name is Zeke.

She hurriedly messages Igor and in no time. Igor got to the venue and handled Zeke. Igor dragged Zeke out of the venue and into one of the empty rooms.

Although Zeke is taller and bigger than Igor, the difference between their lines of work is distinct. Igor has an aura of danger around him and the scars on his neck and hands are proof he is someone to be feared.

Zeke's eyes are already teary, “I didn’t do anything.” He mumbles while looking at Latton. Though her hair was different, he knew who she was. "Please, whatever you want to do to me, not in the face."

“Tell me what happened that day,” Latton exclaimed.

Zeke nodded while wincing as Igor was holding his hands tightly, “I was paid to do a photoshoot, then when I got there I saw you lying on the bed. The guy told me to remove my clothes and lay beside you and wait for you to wake up.” He explains.

Her hands sweat and tremble. “Does that mean? Nothing happened between us?” She inquired.

Zeke shook his head vigorously, “Nothing. I never touch you. I even looked away when you got up from bed. Never saw your body.” He sniffs, “Please.” He begs.

She heaves a sigh of relief. “Igor. Send this poor man home.” She asked.

Igor nods, “How do you want me to send him home? In a bag or box?” he asked viciously. His accent made his words 10 times scary.

Zeke began to cry as he peed on himself.

She gasped in shock, “Oh good god! Alive and well, Igor. What’s with you sending people in a bag?”

Igor shrugs, “Old habits.” He mumbles while smiling creepily.

She then opens her bag and writes a check of $20k to Zeke, “For your troubles and new pants. My driver will send you home. He looks scary because he is scary and he is not nice. If you tell someone about this, Igor will hunt you.” She cautioned.

Zeke's heart skipped a beat in fright, and he was soon dragged by Igor and was driven home.

Shortly, Latton marched back to see if Theo was still around. She smiled when she saw he was still there.

“Hey, you waited for me.” She uttered.

He grinned at her. His face is a bit red, and he smells like bourbon.

“Are you drunk?” She asks.

He bit his lower lip then smiled, “A bit. Are you ready to go?” He asks nicely.

She nods. “Where are we going?” She asks as they walk to the parking lot.

He breathes out, “Brass Bistro.”

“You sure you can drive? We can book a car if you want or reschedule,” she suggested.

He shook his head, “I can drive,” he says as he opens his car.

Soon they drove out of the Royal Ascent parking lot.

Latton stared outside while he was driving, and soon she noticed that he was driving away from the city.

“Theo, where are we going?” She asks eagerly.

“Just a quick detour,” he mumbles.

She smiled faintly but she was on high alert. Her hand was discreetly placed inside her bag and she blindly searched for her phone.

Soon, Theo parked the car in a secluded, dimly lit place. Her anxiety kicked in immediately. At the same time, her hand finally got hold of her phone, but before she could dial 911, Theo spoke, “There will be a fireworks display any moment now.” He commented, then got out of the car, opened the back of his Grand Cherokee, and sat there.

She heaved a sigh of relief, then followed him, “Oh! I like fireworks,” she replied while smiling awkwardly.

Shortly, the fireworks began. The light dances in the sky like stars exploding in different shapes and colors. Preoccupied by the fireworks display, she didn’t notice when Theo leaned closer to her and gently kissed her on the lips. She was taken by surprise and was about to lean back, but he grabbed her face and squeezed her cheeks firmly.

“T..heo,” she mumbles uncomfortably.

He ignores her and kisses her forcefully while his other hand starts groping her chest. Her eyes turn scarlet, and she bites his lips till it bleeds.

He stops kissing her and slaps her hard in the face. “You fucking bitch,” he yells, his gaze darkening far from the chill guy he was on the rooftop. “You should be elated I’m kissing you. You married Victor York. A socialite scum, you’re essentially trash right now.” He added while wiping the blood on his lips.

He is about to hit her again, but she kicks him in the nuts, and she watches how he holds his groin in pain. “Don’t ever compare yourself to Victor. He is a change man, way better than a pretentious divorce lawyer like you.” She replied angrily, then pointed at him, "You don't dictate my value to society," She added, then spat in his face.

He tried to reach for her hand, but she evaded him, took her bag from the passenger seat, and took his key.

She'd contemplated whether she'd drive his car and leave him there, but she remembered her driving sucks, and it was safer for her to book a car. She took her phone, but there was no signal. She noticed him getting up and was about to move to her.

To divert his attention, she threw his key into the dark part of the area and then ran away from him.

She was panting heavily while walking her way along the dark road lit by the flashlight of her phone. Hoping that she'll soon get a signal and get out of there.

"Meet new people."

"It will be fun."

"None of this is fun!" She yelled internally.

Soon a flash of light coming from a car almost blinded her, and she took a fall and broke her phone. "Fuck!" She yelled.

The car then slowly moved towards her and began blinking its lights as if taunting her. She started running and even took a turn, but the car still followed her.

"Theodore!" She uttered in fear.
