Ruby
“Take me home Rowan.” I ask the moment we get to the hotel entrance, I know they will need time alone. I need to be alone as well.
“Alright Ruby.” He agrees without question. He uses his ability and in seconds I’m in my room,
“Forgive us Ruby for leaving you all alone alright.” He apologizes after placing me on the floor.
“It's fine Rowan, nothing went wrong, you all came to rescue me and I'm glad you all are in my life.” I say getting on my tip toes and kissing him slightly on his lips, he wraps his hands around my waist pulling me towards him deepening the kiss.
I melt into his arms and let him take me. Every worry I have is washed away, I wrap my hands around his neck as he scoops me off the floor. I in turn wrap my legs around his waist.
Every contact with my mates seems right, but doing this with Rowan somehow doesn't feel right. I feel like if I continue, I will be betraying Owen and Damien. It could have been different if they were in the room with us.
“Am I forgiven” he teases as he breaks the kiss with his side smile plastered on his face. I'm so glad he pulled away because I was going to.
“Are you teasing me Rowan, do you want me to go back to being angry, huh?” I ask of course a smile is plastered on my face as well, I wasn't really mad at any of them, I was just quite shaken up. I tried my best to act strong, I didn't want to add to their problems.
“Of course not, you look even prettier when you smile like this, so don’t be angry, alright.” He states, but his eyes mean every word. "I just want you to be happy darling." He says.
“I’m not angry anymore, you took it all away with your magical kiss.” I say blushing a little. I want more of him but I know its not a good idea. So I try as hard as I can to suppress what I am feeling.
“Mhh so you can flatter.” He laughs, his personality completely changed recently, he used to be so rigid and uptight. I'm glad he is more free now. I smile at the thought of how my mates have grown since I met them. Owen became more understanding and Damien more accommodating.
“It’s not, I’m just glad you are here with me right now Rowan, I want us to coexist without quarrelling, all I want is peace.” I say. His strong hands are holding me steady, my arms are around his neck, and my eyes facing his. All I can see in them is unconditional love for me.
“Of course, we are going to do everything we can so that we make this relationship easier for you, my darling. I know it's hard for you, Ruby, so we will try to ease the burden just a little for you.” He promises.
“Thank you so much for saying that Rowan. I love all of you so much, but I still ask the goddess why she gave me all of you. I still wonder if I will make it.” I say. His face changes the moment I say that. He looks a bit hurt. "But I don't regret, I see it as a blessing for me." I smile.
“Don’t think too much, Ruby, okay.” He says. "We will be there for you to the end." He adds.
“I will always be there for you too Rowan, all of you." I say. "Will you stay and hold me a little bit longer, until I fall asleep please?” I plead.
“Of course, you don’t need to plead you just need to ask, and I will do anything for you my mate.” He says kissing my forehead before he walks towards my bed, tucks me in and slides under the sheets with me. He lays his arm for me and I place my head on it. Then he slowly pulls me towards him, kisses my forehead repeatedly until I fall asleep.
Rowan
I don’t want to leave Ruby alone, but for our plan to actually work, we need to be away from her for a while. I make sure she is deeply asleep before I head back to the others. I still can’t believe we are existing without many problems. It was so hard at first but Ruby made it possible, and somehow I feel like all this was meant to happen.
“hey man what took you so long, you had us worried.” Owen asks the moment I step in. they are in the same position I left them in.
“she is fine, I just wanted her to sleep first before I left her.” I explain.
“I hope you didn’t start fooling around with her man, you know we had a pact. And if you did, you know that is cheating.” Damien says, his anger to the thought of Ruby and I fooling around is evident. I can't resist her, but I tried my best not to go any further with her just because of the pact. Ruby wished for peace and that’s what I’m going to give her. I don’t want to be the reason she cries, never.
“Nothing of that sort happened, guys. I could have slept there with her in my arms, but I came back so we could finish what we had started.” I say, taking a long sigh before sitting down.
“You are right, I think everything is ready, all we need is for Owen to go shopping for a perfect sexy dress for our mate. Miss Anna already bought hers, and Zama’s as well.” Damien explains.
“Do we really have to invite that bh Zama?” Owen asks in anger.
“I know you don’t like her, but she is still Ruby's friend so we will have to swallow all our feelings about her. All we will need to do is to make sure we keep an eye on her.” Damien states.
“It's annoying, but I will do as you say.” Owen agrees. Who knew Owen could be so cooperative.
“Everything is set then, all we need now is enough sleep, tomorrow will be a big day.” Damien says. “See you tomorrow guys, I will head out, I'm somehow envois of your powers right now.” He says, sighing, he must be as tired as we are.
“Come I will take you.” Owen offers to help. I'm just left in shock, love can really change people.
“I will head out as well, let's meet here tomorrow then.” I say teleporting back to my realm. I need to take care of my skin tonight, I want Ruby to fall for me all over again when she sees me tomorrow.
