Ruby

This time I wake up to an empty room. I yawn as I remove the duvet off me, it made me so warm that I didn't notice their absence. I feel so much refreshed now but where my men at? I love the attention I get when I'm with them, who wouldn't love to be a center of attention? Their hands all over my body, their kisses, I crave that all the time.

"Owen, Rowan, Damien." I call out. But I get no response. I get off the couch and stretch myself. I look at the wall clock and it's almost six o'clock. I need to go for a run tonight. Roxs must really be bored so I will let her have some free time under the moonlight.

'At least you thought of me today, all that runs in that head of your is your mates and sx." Roxs teases.

'Don't say that Roxs I remember you all the time.' I say to my defense.

'Mmh really, when did you actually think of me?' She asks.

'Now.' I chuckle.

'Alright let me just accept it. I need to stretch my paws and howl so much. Something that I need other than a run, is meeting Damien's wolf.' She says, why didn't I think of that, I'm a really bad person.

'I'm sorry Roxs, I didn't think about it.' I apologise.

'It's fine I wanted to let you enjoy them a bit, and besides you almost died." She says. "You and I are the same Ruby, when something outwards happens to you, it happens to me too.' She add.

'So where did they go?' I ask.

'Like I said you and I are the same, so obviously I was sleeping just like you.' She answers, I'm sure she is smirking right now. She has a totally different character from me.

'You are so full of yourself Roxs.' She always knows how to shut me up. I shut her off, my stomach rumbles, I have been sleeping for more than eight hours I need some food. I head to the mini kitchen so I can make some food for myself. As I'm opening the fridge to get some water, I notice a note stuck on it.

'THERE IS FOOD IN THE FREEZER PLEASE WARM IT.' It says. I can't really tell who wrote it.

So they left me alone without letting me know where they went. They will have to answer to me when they return. For now, I need to eat.

I open the freezer and my mouth practically waters. They made all my favorite foods, I can't even decide what to eat and what not to. They made chicken, fries, two veggie wraps, and fried spaghetti. I take out all the dishes and Place them in a microwave one after the other. I then lay them on the counter, I make sure I eat to my fill before returning the leftovers to the fridge.

I wear the Owen's sandals which are too oversized dor me and write a note for them as well so that they don't panic as to where I went. I then wait for the darkness to set in before walking out of the hotel. It's in the middle of the city so it takes me a while to finally get to the woods. I remove the t-shirt and sandals and let Roxane take over.

My legs curve and form hind legs, My arms elongate, all the bones in my body break excruciatingly. Fur erupts from my skin, as my vision becomes crystal clear. So is every sense in my. body, every sense heightens. I'm able to smell every little thing including the leaves. Finally Roxs releases a loud howl.

Under the soft glow of the moonlight, Roxane runs through the woods with effortless grace. Her strides so wide, as she runs against the wind. Her beautiful fur shimmers in the pale light, blending seamlessly with the shadows cast by towering trees. I feel bad that I didn't give her such happiness oftenly. I will surely let her outside as often as possible. Her eyes, bright and piercing, scan the surroundings as she navigates with silent strides. Each breath she takes is a misty puff in the cool night air. I can even feel how happy and free she is.

Abruptly she halts, her ears stand pricked forward as she tries to listen carefully. Her body tenses,nose twitches as it inhales the scent of the foreign dangerous being. I try to speak to her to ask what is wrong but she shuts me out, all I'm left with is observing and feeling everything she is experiencing. I regret coming out alone, I should have waited for my mates so they could take me. What if something bad happens to us.

She scans the surrounding with her sharp eyes, she slowly starts recoiling while maintaining her defense posture. She lets out a low growl in her throat as every fur on her body stands erect amplifying her sensitivity.

Suddenly a rogue wolf lunges towards us with his feral intensity. His yellow eyes blazing with aggression as his rotten smell washes over the clean air. He is way larger and intimidating more than Roxane. But she doesn't back down, instead she charges towards it with same intensity. As the rogue goes above, Roxs uses her small body to her advantage, dodging the rogue by going underneath it. The rogue's falls in a thud since it didn't anticipate Roxs' move. She turns with Grace ready to defend us as the rogue charges to us again, this time angrier with his teeth clattering in utmost rage. Just as it's about to pounce on us, a gigantic wolf out of nowhere appears taking the rogue by surprise and dividing it into two with one swift move.

'Are you alright Roxs.' The wolf speaks to mine, they recognise each other immediately. It's Damiens wolf, how he got to knwo where we were, I don't know, all I am is grateful.

'Yes mate.' Roxs answers as they close the distance between them placing their necks together. Their hearts move in sync as every emotion is clear. Their meet up is cut short buy Owen's sudden appearance. Roxs let's me take over as Damien turns as well.

"What kind of an Alpha are you Damien, how can a rogue enter your pack just like that. How careless can your warriors be." Owen froths grabbing Damien by the neck, strangling him.

"Stop it please I'm alright aren't I." I try to calm them. I only got a scratch on my leg, I guess the rogue managed to injure me a little. But it's just a small scratch.

"But you are bleeding Ruby. What if something bad had happened to you baby?" He asks in anger.

"But nothing happened Owen I'm fine. You came to me right in time. You saved me Damien so please Owen let him go." I beg. His hands slowly let go of Damien as his muscles start to relax. Rowan removes his coat and covers me with it, takes out his t-shirt and lends it to Damien who is completely naked.

"Wait a minute, let me treat your wound Ruby." Damien says when Rowan wants to help me up. He tries so hard to avoid my gaze as he kneels and licks my wound dry, the healing process kicks in immediately.

'Damien look at me please.' I plead, it takes some seconds for him to actually look. 'I'm fine okay don't beat yourself up for nothing.' I say through the mind link.

'I'm sorry love, I will enhance security, nothing like this will ever happen to you.' He says, his eyes are so remorseful.

'Please don't be gloomy, I love you and I know you will never do anything to hurt me on purpose. So please cheer up, don't listen to Owen, he is just angry.' I say, he nods and sighs. 'I love you so much.' I add.

'I love you too Ruby, so much that I can give up my life for you.' His eyes light up as he says these words. I cut the mindlink, and try to communicate to Owen telepathically.

'Owen baby.' I call out but all I get is silence.

Rowan carries me off the ground and we walk back to the hotel without speaking to each other. I'm just glad we are all alright.

'Thank you Roxs for being so brave.' I say to my wolf who is as shaken up as me. 'We have to start training though, we need to be stronger.' I suggest.

'You are right Ruby, I am a wolf, I'm supposed to protect you when you are in danger. I can't always rely on our mates help, what if they are not around?'

'Don't be so negative Roxs, we have been through a lot together and our strength made us victorious.' I encourage her.

'You are right.' She answers as we approach the hotel. Since we are all wolf's everyone minds their own business. No one bothers us on the way. Except for the bows we get as they see Damien their Alpha.
