Chapter XXV: SAVIORS

Along in the woods where light cannot sip through, is a man commanding, planning something. He gathered his accomplices and is making sure that everything will be according to the plan. However, plan is not easily to achieved, especially when there's someone who cares, someone who love.

"Resie, did you do it?"

"Yes Alpha. Her life is now depending on me."

"Where is she?"

"Talking her friends somewhere in Galory. Trinity is with her." Resie answered.

The person almost faint to what she heard as she was hiding in the thick bush, and so she kept her mouth shut and cared to not make any move hoping to gather more information.

"Sorry to her but after she left the responsibility for that child, I lost my affection and all of my love that now, I'm just seeing her as a stranger trespassing our territory together with her cursed child." The Alpha said while watching the crowd having a socialization. A minute later, a guard appeared, and it shocked the hell out of her, recognizing who he is.

"Maxine already got her Alpha. They are now heading there. Guards are also waiting there."

"Very good Hunt. Make sure no one knows, especially Elizabeth. But if the plan didn't work and Elizabeth find out, Resie, you know what to do. Cut her life immediately."

"Yes Alpha."

Her tears starting to escape her eyes, realizing what is their plan. She wanted to attack him and cursed him, but she cannot. She must be tough to restrain herself because if he can kill her daughter, then there will be no exception for her. Not long enough, she heard footsteps walking out from the dark forest and saw the Alpha started a conversation with the Alpha of Galory, and so she started running into the other side where the Alpha couldn't see her, running and look for his brother.

"Apollo, do you saw Brige?" Hera rush to him looking for Brige eagerly.

"No. But I saw her talking to Maxine earlier." Hera's face turned pale and knocked on the ground. Apollo rush to support her sister.

"Hera! Why? What happen?" He asked worriedly.

"We need to find Brige. They'll going to kill her!" She scream and stand eagerly to look for her cousin.

"What?! What are you talking about?!"

"Grandpa. I heard him talking to Hunt if, if they already got her. Hunt said Maxine brought her somewhere and were not supposed to tell on aunt Elizabeth or mom or else the witch will kill aunt Elizabeth! She didn't cure her Apollo, she cursed her!" She was furious. She was mad. And stress.

"What?! I'm going to talk him~"

"No! No Apollo. Grandpa might do something to you too. I don't know how he became this greedy, and I'm afraid he hurt you too, so no. L-let's find her." She said started to wandering around the crowd, and she saw Ericson together with the Burgeon's people wearing blue necklaces. She quickly run towards him, cannot handle her sobs anymore.

"Hera? Shit! What happen?! Did you see Brige?!"

"Let's find Brige Eric. Find Brige!" She screams out of frustration.

"Why? What happen?!" Laide asked.

"Grandpa. She ordered Maxine to kill Brige, but I don't know where. Aunt Elizabeth doesn't know!"

"Shit! I knew he's planning! Why aren't we tell her mom?! And Trinity?!"

"No! If aunt knows, the witch will also kill her. Listen Eric, the witch did not cure her, she cursed her!" Hera exaggeratedly said.

"Hera!" It was Jordan. And he was beaten and weak, pushing herself to reach her.

"Jordan! What happens to you?!" Apollo immediately support him.

"I know where they brought Brige. I tried to stop Maxine, but she was eager to kill her because the Alpha told her Jessica's already dead!"

"Where is she?!" Tomas asked.

"To the cave. Go to the cave. She was being tortured there. I tried to protect her, but I failed. I'm so sorry."

The conversation didn't take any longer. Hera and Apollo, together with the Brige friends, rush to the forest, faster as they're hoping to save their friend from dying. It hurts them, it makes them mad, but little did they know that there's a person whose blood is boiling to the highest level due to what he heard. Jaw tightened and eyes blazing, he run to the forest to his fastest and so his accomplices followed. Not now, he thought. Not now that he saw how she hug the night sky. Not now that he saw how she accepted her identity. Not now that he gave up pretending he doesn't care. Being a man setting his heart free is normal. In fact, it is magical.

He reached the cave with his friends and enters, run faster as they could. And then, there, in the middle of the cave, in the middle of the wolves, is Brige weak body. Conscious, but not doing anything. She just kept her eyes open and accept every slap and punch she received from a girl while three wolves are holding her from behind.

"Fight Brige! In this last day of your life at least you could say that you tried to fight right?" The girl said, followed by her laugh.

"Or at least just face us, right?" Aiden said coldly. Brige eyes gaze up and met the ranging orbs of Chase looking at her without any emotions in his face. She breathes slowly seeing that beyond that emotionless face is her eyes full of passion, as what she felt from the start.

She didn't want to admit it.

But the first time she saw him, she knows he already captured her interest.

And as she meet his eyes,

She could feel her heart beat rapidly

And is realized that her eyes glow differently when he's around.

If she's just a normal person, she could say that she fall in love.

But being a different creature and seeing his passionate eyes looking at her with the same intensity she was giving,

She knew now why her heart always chose to beat crazy when he's around.

"H-how did you get in her?!" But without any words, Lennox attack the guards surrounding Brige and turned himself into wolf with a ranging fire on his eyes. And so, the three of them followed carefully not to let anyone escape.

"No. No!" Maxine run as fast as she could but as she reached the entrance she was surprised by a heavy slap that made her stumble and almost cried in pain. But as the attacker didn't get contented, she threw herself above Maxine and slap her side by side.

"How dare you hurting my best friend!" She was fuming.

Ericson growl signaling them that there's a commotion inside, so he continue with Apollo and Tomas while Hera left together with Laide dealing with Maxine.

"Get off me, bitch!" Maxine shouted.

"Give me her necklace." Hera commanded and Liade adhere.

"So, what is our plan to her?" Laide asked as Maxine was trying to get up from her tight grip.

"I will make her sleep like her beloved friend Jessica." She answered fearless. All of her life, she always hid in the shadow of his brother and tried to be something extraordinary hoping her grandpa will be proud of her too, because she always thought that the Alpha is a good person that is just filled with pride. And so as she tried to impress him, she always failed. She was always the loser. The weak. The unwanted. But now that she witness her grandfather's dirty thing, she wouldn't dare impress him anymore. She will be now a person she missed taking care of and nothing in this world can stop her.

"No! No!" Hera touch her neck and chant a spell that made Maxine lost consciousness.

"Is she dead?" Laide asked.

"No. But she can sleep a lifetime without me removing the spell."

"The power of elements, I guess."

"Come on. Brige need us."
