CHAPTER FIFTY-ONE

The entire Pack watched in horror as Taylor began to shift into her red wolf.

Blood ran down her nether region and the pain was evident both from the loss of her baby and the shift as she had not felt her wolf in such a long time.

Dante couldn't stop the tear that steamed from his eyes.

“I'm so sorry baby. I'm sorry” he kept whispering while holding her whimpering form.

When she had fully shifted, she lay in her mate's arm, shaking from the pain of losing their first pup.

Dante carried her gently and took her into their room, the entire Pack filled with sadness.

Today was supposed to be her acceptance ceremony. He had already ordered for the preparations to be fully ready by evening but that will have to be on hold.

This was a very unusual occurrence. Werewolves were very strong and always healed themselves but Taylor had gone through a lot these past few weeks.

“Will you be able to shift back, baby? Your wolf just got back and we want to give her enough time to heal” Dante told Taylor in their mindlink.

She agreed and shifted back, encouraging her wolf to sleep.

The first intake of breath Taylor took in brought in the copper scent of her dead pup's blood in heaven amounts and she broke down in tears, unable to prevent the emotional pain it brought. She had not been able to use the extra powers being a wolf provided in a while and the first time she tried, it brought such pain.

Dante didn't let her dwell too much in it. He took her to the bathroom and helped her shower.

“Here, wear my robe, it's thicker,” he said, helping her into it.

He helped her into the bed and they slept even though it was not night yet.

When they woke up, Taylor's body had fully healed and she woke Dante up.

“When is the acceptance ceremony happening?” She asked him, her posture very stiff.

“Um, shouldn't we wait a little? You need to fully heal. I mean, I was just thinking you might not be in the mood for it” he stuttered, confused at her mood.

“What's there to wait for? I held onto this baby with everything in me and he obviously didn't want me. There's no need to keep holding on. I want to be a part of the pack fully. There's no point waiting.” She responded.

Dante looked at her, dumbfounded.

“Um, is Celia awake? Is she ready as well?” He asked

“She will be.” She answered cryptically.

He nodded and sent a message in the pack link for the pack to resume preparations for the event.

He also called for his former beta's daughter, Tessa, who he had spoken to about being friends with Taylor as she didn't have any familiar face in the pack so she could take her to get the outfit for the night.

Someone knocked on the door after they had gotten dressed.

“That should be the food”

“I'm not hungry,” Taylor replied.

“Well, that's a pity because you are not leaving here till you eat something love” Dante told her, opening the door and letting the kitchen staff drop off the tray.

Taylor folded her hand in defiance while Dante brought out everything and then he proceeded to start feeding her.

At first, she refused to open her mouth but he didn't relent. He kept the forkful of meat on her lips till she finally opened them.

By the time she was done eating, she couldn't hold back the tears that racked through her form.

“I know it's hard, baby but we will get through it. I can't wait for you to officially become my Luna. You are so strong and I want to give you an easier life. I'm so sorry this happened to you. I fucked up and I will always beg for your forgiveness but please allow yourself to feel. Don't let that anger in okay?” He told her, rubbing her back as she cried her heart out.

“You haven't eaten anything” Taylor told him in a small voice after she had calmed down.

“It's okay, I'll eat later” he told her, cleaning her face.

She shook her head in disagreement.

“Eat.”

“Anything for my queen” he responded, smiling.

When he was done, they went out and he saw the whole pack look alive, getting everything ready.

This brought a smile on Dante's face. His mate was another strange thing added to his already precarious position in the pack. He didn't want to have any further altercation and his pack needed to accept her. Seeing them going all out to make the ceremony a success made him happy.

Even little children were running about, carrying flowers from their big garden and following the cook’s orders.

“Good evening Alpha, Luna” Tessa greeted, slightly baring her neck in submission

“Just who I was looking for. Baby, this is Tessa. She will take you shopping. You don't need to pay for anything, it's taken care of okay?” Dante told her, pecking her on the cheeks and walking to the direction of the ceremony

“Heyy. Um, I've not done anything like this before so I don't really know what type of outfit I'll need” Taylor told the vigorously excited lady who was a little shorter than her.

“Oh, don't you worry yourself. We'll get you into something really pretty. Come on” she replied, taking Taylor's arm like she was super proud to know her.

This felt weird to Taylor. She had never had anyone be this excited to be in her presence apart from her mate.

Tessa gave Taylor's ears a run for its money as she kept regaling her with takes about their pack and even the dirty gossip that were currently being spread.

By the time they had gotten close, Taylor was more relaxed in her presence and even asking questions for more information.

“Wait, you mean she has three mates? How did everyone take that?” She asked in response to a weird tale of a shewolf being matched to 3 different males in the pack.

“What can they do or say? The bond was literally physically obvious. I guess the goddess did that in case anyone suspected she was lying. If you look closely, you can see the blue swirls connecting the three of them. And I love me a good mate bond but when you see them, it's like they'd prefer to live in each other's skin” they laughed.

She followed Tessa to the pack market and she noticed how different it looked from her former pack's, the Bluemoon.

Everyone had a space in this large building that stretched on for miles.

There were signs indicating what was sold in each shop and no matter how far one looked, there were shoppers in each location.

Tessa took Taylor to the first fashion shop after they had trekked for a bit farther in front of the market.

“Tessaa! Why haven't you come by all week? I've got the new season's collection and if you don't make your choice now, you'll have to pick from everyone's second options. And who do we have here?” The shop owner gushed, taking an appreciative look at Taylor.

“June, please don't do that to me. You have to always tell me before going to get new ones. Anyways, this is our new Luna. You would know that if you spent more time in the pack. We're shopping for her acceptance ceremony so we need something that will dazzle the whole pack.” Tessa replied, already going through the many stacks of clothes in the shop.

“Hello, you have a lovely shop” Taylor greeted the shocked woman.

“I'm so honored to have the opportunity my Luna. Please, come this way, I have the perfect outfit.” She told her, taking her into the second room in the shop.

“Here, go try it” she told Taylor, handing her a white dress that had a bow at the back.

When Taylor got into the dressing room, she quickly changed and immediately fell in love with it. She had heard how ladies spent so much time deciding on an outfit but she didn't get it. This dress was amazing and she didn't even know she had all of these curves.

The dress was short, a little bit above her knee but it had a bow at the back that had a flowing tail attached to it. The arm was short and had a sweetheart neckline, giving an innocent look to Taylor's face. She looked at herself in the mirror, standing on her tippy toes to admire the outfit.

In excitement she ran out of the changing room but what she saw stopped her right in her tracks.

As Taylor walked out the changing room, she felt a chill run down her spine as her eyes locked with the person in front of her. She went through so many emotions just setting her eyes on her right as she opened the door.
